Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because...This is my first entry and since when are artist descriptions illegal on WP?? If some wording or reference should change let m e know^ --Culturemanagement (talk) 16:14, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • "Klaus Damm's artistic journey remains a dynamic and evolving narrative"--that's not a "description". The entire thing should be rewritten from scratch, it should follow our conventional formatting guidelines, it should have neutral language ("Klaus Damm's artistic journey has been marked by continuous evolution, innovation, and a commitment to pushing artistic boundaries"--seriously?), and it should have reliable secondary sources instead of spam links. Drmies (talk) 16:16, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
.Strongly disagreed! Thank you for the feedback tho, if one more person agrees I will change the wording in question. If you want to rewrite it entirely I'm happy to provide my notes to you, if you just intended to be needlessly rude - fair enough.
If you show me how to upload his certificates I'm happy to provide those secondary sources and upload even more pictures next week. Otherwise I have to do it as intended step by step to improve it, in case someone on a bitter rant doesnt delete it beforehand.
    Best regards Culturemanagement (talk) 16:28, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
To be considered notable enough for inclusion, this person must meet Wikipedia's notability criteria for creative professionals. Citations to reliable and independent sources are required to demonstrate notability. Also, articles must be written from a neutral point of view without any subjective wording that promotes the subject.
I do not know if you have a personal or professional affiliation to this person. If you do, then you should disclose it, as this would be considered a conflict of interest. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 17:00, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No, we're not going to upload "certification" or whatever; those are not secondary sources. If you cannot see how the citations I provided are promotional rather than neutral and encyclopedic, I'm afraid that this isn't going anywhere. I'm not sure what "bitter rant" you're pointing at, but I encourage you to not make these matters personal. I assure you that I was not "intend[ing] to be needlessly rude". If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Klaus Damm, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay.
