Thanks for your recent edits to WGN-TV, however Wikipedia does not include television, radio, or news schedules in articles. Please seee what Wikipedia is not for clarification. I encourage you to continue constructive editing of articles. Thanks! /Blaxthos 03:40, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Buses WikiProject

[edit]

I notice that you have edited lists of bus routes recently. You might be interested in helping with the new WikiProject buses, especially the proposed Bus route list guide. We are also working out when a bus route should have its own article and other issues. --NE2 15:27, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Newscasts in TV station articles

[edit]

I undid your change to KLAS, as I fail to see where the newscast listing violates WP:NOT. The listing is intended to show original programming by the station, but if you can show me where it fails standards, I'll certainly be open to take an honest look at it. dhett (talk contribs) 15:35, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WDCW

[edit]

I readded the City of License to the WDCW page. Most of the time, COLs are listed on TV station pages, even if the area it serves is of the same name. Take Care...NeutralHomerTalk 23:50, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:WROC.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:WROC.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 02:34, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to WJRT-TV, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. WTVF

[edit]

Just for your information, I've reverted some of your changes to the WTVF article. You removed the conversion template, which showed feet, something recommended by our Memorandum of Style, and also inserted some inappropriate line breaks where they were fully unnecessary. Also, I've reinserted the KLAS sister station link as they appear to also be owned by Landmark, but if you can provide a reason why this is not appropriate, I have no problem with it being removed again. In the future, please use the Edit Summary box to explain why you are making various changes. Huntster (t @ c) 02:41, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WMAQ former on air talent list

[edit]

Hello Csworldwide1

I was wondering if I could get your opinion in my favor. On the WMAQ former personalites, editors keep deleting all the names posted and I don't feel it is right. You had made some adjustments to the industry jargon on that page and I respected and agreed with your decision. I was wondering if you could write a statement in favor of the 98.223.95.42 edits posted on the village link on the discussion page. The person took a lot of time and effort into the list. We just need a few more in our favor and the edits will be reverted back to the way it should. Or if you just want to revert it back yourself. Ask any other editors you know if they could sign it too. Thanks so much TVFAN24 (talk) 23:14, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WBFS

[edit]

That is a great version of the new logo. I am curious as to where you found that. Would you be able to locate a similar logo for WSBK since that is orange too? The current one is black and there is no on-air usage of that. Strafidlo (talk) 21:02, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to WRC-TV. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. You've been asked about this before. Trafford09 (talk) 01:43, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:ABC7 logo-300x242.PNG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:ABC7 logo-300x242.PNG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:07, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:ABC7 logo-300x242.PNG

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:ABC7 logo-300x242.PNG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Invitation to wikiFeed

[edit]

Hello Csworldwide1,

I'm part of a team that is researching ways to help Wikipedia editors find interesting content to contribute to Wikipedia. More specifically, we are investigating whether content from news sources can be used to enhance Wikipedia editing. We have created a tool, called wikiFeed, that allows you to specify Twitter and/or RSS feeds from news sources that are interesting to you. wikiFeed then helps you make connections between those feeds and Wikipedia articles. We believe that using this tool may be a lot of fun, and may help you come up with some ideas on how to contribute to Wikipedia in ways that interest you. Please participate! To do so, complete this survey and follow this link to our website. Once you're there, click the "create an account" link to get started.

For more information about wikiFeed, visit our project page. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask via my talk page, or by email at wikifeedcc@gmail.com. We appreciate your time and hope you enjoy playing with wikiFeed!

License tagging for File:WCYB Logo.png

Thanks for uploading File:WCYB Logo.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 07:05, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:WCYB Logo.png, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

WP:CSD#F1 - duplicate image (File:WCYB 2012 Logo.png) is of lower quality, consistant with fair use

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. TemplateData is here

[edit]

Hey Csworldwide1

I'm sending you this because you've made quite a few edits to the template namespace in the past couple of months. If I've got this wrong, or if I haven't but you're not interested in my request, don't worry; this is the only notice I'm sending out on the subject :).

So, as you know (or should know - we sent out a centralnotice and several watchlist notices) we're planning to deploy the VisualEditor on Monday, 1 July, as the default editor. For those of us who prefer markup editing, fear not; we'll still be able to use the markup editor, which isn't going anywhere.

What's important here, though, is that the VisualEditor features an interactive template inspector; you click an icon on a template and it shows you the parameters, the contents of those fields, and human-readable parameter names, along with descriptions of what each parameter does. Personally, I find this pretty awesome, and from Monday it's going to be heavily used, since, as said, the VisualEditor will become the default.

The thing that generates the human-readable names and descriptions is a small JSON data structure, loaded through an extension called TemplateData. I'm reaching out to you in the hopes that you'd be willing and able to put some time into adding TemplateData to high-profile templates. It's pretty easy to understand (heck, if I can write it, anyone can) and you can find a guide here, along with a list of prominent templates, although I suspect we can all hazard a guess as to high-profile templates that would benefit from this. Hopefully you're willing to give it a try; the more TemplateData sections get added, the better the interface can be. If you run into any problems, drop a note on the Feedback page.

Disney/ABC stations

Hi Csworldwide1. I watched your recent contributions (which i was revetsed) in articles and templates related to The Walt Disney Company as in Template: Disney-ABC stations. In the template the following appears: "Broadcasting stations -(radio and tv stations)- owned and operated by Disney Media Networks." The next time, take into consideration to see before templates and articles. Cordial Greetings! --Mega-buses (discusión / Talk) 23:08, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edit to WJW pic

[edit]

Hello. I saw you reverted my upload of the cropped out white space that isn't needed for the WJW (TV) logo. May I ask why? I don't think it needs that white space around it. It just makes it look bad. If I have to, I will upload a .png logo, so that it has a transparent background. Thanks! Corkythehornetfan (Talk) 00:30, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

TV talent list

[edit]

Please review WP:LISTPEOPLE and WP:NOTDIRECTORY before making further changes. Employee list should be limited to those that are notable and have their own Wikipedia page, while your additions do not.Bobjim45 (talk) 21:49, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed you recent addition on WLS-TV. Consensus seems to be personalities with articles belong while full list of personalities don't per Talk:WGN-TV#News_team, Talk:KCAL-TV#Staff_listing, Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Television_Stations/Archive_10#Current_on-air_staff_list_discussion. Unless if there is consensus somewhere I missed the list with non-notable staff should be removed on other pages.Bobjim45 (talk) 01:02, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you that the full listing on those pages should be removed. But then you can't just come back and re-added them to WLS-TV, It makes that much harder to edit since there is a consensus. I know that a majority of tv station pages have full lineups but there are at least three editors (from above talk pages)that are removing them. They all can't be removed overnight. I think we should continue this discussion at Talk:WLS-TV#On-air_staff_list_2.Bobjim45 (talk) 09:49, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that the username you have chosen, "Csworldwide1", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website which relates to the entity in question, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or accounts that are shared. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our Conflict of interest guideline and Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Can you please explain what does username CS-worldwide exactly stands for? Thanks, Anupmehra -Let's talk! 10:46, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Anupmehra. I'll tell you in the seven years I've been on here, I never had this COI prompts before. My username handle, which I've been using for a longtime on here, is nothing more than my initials, the word "Worldwide" and the number "1". It's just a handle I thought of myself to use on here. That is all. Csworldwide1 (talk) 12:13, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Gray TV

[edit]
Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Template:Gray TV shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Where is proof that Sinclair is buying WPXT?

[edit]

There was a previous edit that said Ironwood was selling WPXT to Sinclair. I thought this was nonsense so I edited the page and removed the statement. Then I went to WPXT's entry on RabbitEars and saw Sinclair's name in the ownership section. I then thought maybe it was true and reverted my own edit (and added in some more info). I couldn't find any paperwork to back up the report, so it might be a mistake on RabbitEars' part. Does anyone know if WPXT is really for sale? Mvcg66b3r (talk) 14:27, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Trip at RabbitEars just confirmed it was a mistake on their part. "WPME got sold to ION, and WPFO (not WPXT) filed something on the same day that was apparently an internal reorganization at Sinclair. I misread it as WPXT being sold separately to Sinclair. (Which could have made sense as well.)"[1] Mvcg66b3r (talk) 15:37, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]

Seeing how Csworldwide2 was a sock of ACMEDeputy, and you have the same editing pattern, I've gone ahead and blocked this account.

If this is a mistake, the CU will unblock you.

If it is not a mistake, you're already trying to appeal your block as ACMEDeputy. Ian.thomson (talk) 18:33, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Gsnguy, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

KBTX-TV Telemundo

[edit]

Regarding Telemundo on KBTX 3.3, I receive it over the air, though the picture appears to be frozen (and has been for a day now - previously it was a test pattern.) I don't see anything about it on the KBTX website, though whenever they do say something about it, I'll cite it. Computers in the clouds (talk) 06:18, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

KNHL - TV

[edit]

KSNB has now listed KNHL as one of their channels. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrewnheckman (talkcontribs) 04:30, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

How can he say that when he may not have even seen KSNB/KNHL? He may not even be from the area. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 16:21, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Mvcg66b3r: Can I ask? The editor in question has been here one day. Are you seriously suggesting that they could be adding falsehoods to an article about some TV station in Nebraska, they're trying to verify it by lying about what they're seeing on TV, and for some reason this is happening even though it's possible they don't live near Hastings? Is it possible that they're acting like a new editor because they are one?
You've been here four years. They've been here just over one day. You badly need to read WP:BITE and WP:AGF because you really ought to know better than to ramble on about "disruptive editing" and "lies" coming from a newbie whose edits are obviously being made in good faith. 2600:1700:B7A1:9A30:3D4A:D759:FBED:105D (talk) 17:08, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@2600:1700:B7A1:9A30:3D4A:D759:FBED:105D: Yes, I was a bit hard on him, and I apologize. It wasn't until Csworldwide reverted the edits when I thought AHastings53 was lying. Now I know he acted in good faith; still, he may have used original research, which is discouraged on Wikipedia. It's best to wait for official confirmation from a reliable source (i.e. a press release). Mvcg66b3r (talk) 17:23, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2020 in American television, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page NewsNation. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

This styling has been used by the station for most of the past year. On July 15, 2022, the Facebook was changed to 12News per Page Transparency, and the box at the bottom of their website reads "Connect with 12News". Blink and you'll miss it! Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team
