Ajay Srinivasan (born on DAY MONTH YEAR) is the Chief Executive, Financial Services at the Aditya Birla Group. The Adita Birla Financial Services Group is a significant non-bank umbrella brand, encompassing 9 lines of financial service businesses of the Aditya Birla Group. Srinivasan also has the distinction of being known as the CEO of CEOs , as he has a track record of setting the strategic vision and direction for various individual financial service brands & businesses in the organisation’s that he had led during his career.

[edit]Srinivasan was the Chief Executive, Fund Management at Prudential Corporation Asia, based in Hong Kong. Under Srinivasan’s leadership, Prudential’s Fund Management operations in Asia grew rapidly, both organically and through acquisition. Srinivasan oversaw a business that spanned ten markets, including Japan, with total funds under management of about USD 70 Billion, which made it at the time the second largest retail fund manager in Asia. As a member of Prudential Corporation Asia’s Board of Directors, Srinivasan also oversaw the development of Prudential’s retirement business in Asia. Srinivasan had initially joined Prudential in 1998 as Managing Director of Prudential ICICI Asset Management Company, Prudential’s Indian fund management joint venture with ICICI Bank. Within two years of operation, Prudential ICICI AMC had grown to become the largest private sector asset management company in India.

[edit]Prior to joining Prudential, Srinivasan was the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of the Indian operations of ThreadNeedle Asset Management. Srinivasan is also engaged with several bodies including the Financial Planning Standards Board, the CII Committee on Financial Sector Reforms, The CII Committee on Insurance and Pensions and the FICCI Committee on Insurance.
Achievements
[edit]Under his leadership the financial services business has grown rapidly and recorded steadfast growth despite a challenging environment. Srinivasan’s stewardship, post 2010, during the most challenging economic cycle seen in recent times is seen as a key phase in his career – guiding the Aditya Birla Financial Services brand though economic and political uncertainty. Despite these cycles, the brand has sustained its growth trajectory and emerged stronger. Since 2007, there has been a threefold growth in turnover, which stands at Rs. 6,390 Crore There has also been a fourfold growth in Assets Under Management, which stands at Rs. 1,07,000 Crore. There has also been a threefold growth in the customer base, which stands at 5.3 million people. The overall revenue growth, during Srinivasan’s tenure, stands at 13% in difficult markets but the PBT has grown by a solid 29%. (All figures as of 31 March 2013). The Group’s Return on Capital Employed has also shown a strong upward movement since 2007 and at around 30% makes the Aditya Birla Financial Services Group one of the more profitable businesses in the Aditya Birla Group.
Under Srinivasan’s leadership Aditya Birla Financial Services Group has expanded its footprint in new markets, new businesses and new partners. Commencing operations in Dubai and Singapore, collaborating with foreign partners like Woori of Korea and Hastings of Australia and also venturing into new areas such as Private Equity, Real Estate, Infra Financing, Loans Against Property and Home Loans.

[edit]With over 2 decades of experience, Srinivasan is often invited by media houses to share his perspective on global financial issues such as the global economic downswing, and even shed light on topics pertaining to the banking industry. He is often invited to speak at various forums on a variety of topics, including the role of higher education in the financial services sector.
With over 2 decades of experience, Srinivasan’s perspective on many topics is often an eye-opener: be it the journey of Aditya Birla Financial Services Group and the Indian financial industry or even the future of the financial services sector with regard to government reforms.

Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this.
