New user

Hi Cremepuff222:

I start my works in English Wikipedia now, and I need a hand of an experient user, and I see your name in the list of adopters and I'm here to request your help; You can help me in English Wikipedia? I'm waiting an answer.

Thanks. =D Brunoy Anastasiya Seryozhenko Messengers 23:08, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Thank You, and I have various doubts about this Wikipedia, and one thing:I'm very curious and I like to ask many times, so be a "little" patient with me! (rsrsrs) My frist doubt: How much time I need to have to vote here? Well, by the begin is this, but I'll ask much for you! (I want to combat the vandalism here and help the articles which are needing of a help and/or are needing of a fix) good things to do, No? (rsrsrs) Brunoy Anastasiya Seryozhenko Messengers 23:59, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
First of all, I have no problems with a lot of questions! I agreed to that when I adopted you, so don't hesitate asking me anything. :)
Well, on Wikipedia most processes are governed by a system of consensus, which means certain things don't pass unless there is general agreement among the community. You can take a part in any of these discussions, but I would recommend watching and learning the process beforehend. For example, before taking a part in the requests for adminship process, read through a few requests and possibly some archived discussions. Same goes for the other processes such as WP:AFD. Hopefully that wasn't too complicated! *Cremepuff222* 00:03, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
So, don't have a limit of time or contribuitions to participe in the discussions of community? (and one more thing: You know a good page whit templates to put in articles whit problems? (like "trash", "don't have category" ,or "need a cleanup?" I intend to work in New pages). Thanks for the answer! Brunoy Anastasiya Seryozhenko Messengers 00:11, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Nah, there's not really a specific number, but I recommend you get around one or two hundred edits first. For some templates, check out Wikipedia:Template messages/General and Wikipedia:Template messages. Newpage patrol is a very helpful thing to do. You may want to check out categories for speedy deletion as well. *Cremepuff222* 00:14, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the answers, and I'll read all this (because I don't want to make any mistakes here!); In my contry now is sleep's hour (this mean: Night, or in others words: ten past twenty-nine (10:29) ), and I'll read all this today, and I'll make new questions in case of doubts; Thanks again, and thanks for the help! =D Brunoy Anastasiya Seryozhenko Messengers 00:38, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

You're welcome, and goodnight. *Cremepuff222* 00:39, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Hello im looking to be adopted can you please help Jay2k (talk) 17:27, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

Helo, I am quite new in Wikipedia and would like to be adopted.--Idontknow610 13:57, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion

Hi my Adopter!

I have more questions for you: when I see an article Without none useful information (which they're can perfectly stay to speedy deletion) can you say me what is the better template to put in the article? I have doubts about this, because I saw a lot of templates to speedy deletion, and I don't know what is the best to put in articles like that. I'm waiting for your answer! Brunoy Anastasiya Seryozhenko Messengers 16:52, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Adoption

Hello! Excuse me for asking this, but would you be willing to be my adopter? I have questions pertaining to CSD and other areas of Wikipedia that (maybe?) you could help me with. Please respond on my talk page. Thank you! Midorihana(talk)(contribs) 21:59, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

That's alright, thanks though and happy editing! Midorihana(talk)(contribs) 22:18, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

To be bold!

I'll be bold my Adopter! but I'm afraid of to receive critics from another editors or administrators, and how I said "I'm very perfeccionist!" bhut I'll be bold in the limits, making nothing which can be harmful to Wikipedia, but I'll make only good things, but is like that phase (in my contry is a popular proverb, I don't know if you listened this phase): "is living and Learning!" =D --Brunoy Anastasiya Seryozhenko (talk) 23:00, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Hello, Acalamari. I have been pretty good, thanks. And thanks for making sure that person didn't end up leaving wikipedia! Such acts usually go unseen... But anyway, how have you been? *Cremepuff222* 23:18, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Well, I'm glad to see that you're doing fine: I have to say that you are an excellent editor and administrator, and have improved greatly since when I first encountered you. :) As for me, I am fine. Just dealing with the usual events that happen around here! Acalamari 23:29, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Well, maybe not that good, but I do remember the those days... Bad times... If there's anything I can help you with please feel free to ask! *Cremepuff222* 23:54, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

I need help

I try to maintain a couple of biographies of living persons against vandalism and distortions. Around Thanksgiving an editor started doing drastic revisions to both of them including merging one and trying to delete the other. He has gotten his/her ego involved very deeply and has become a wikibully. I need some help. I don't aspire to be much more involved in Wikipedia than just trying to maintain these two articles, but I need some serious help to deal with this 'person'. He/she treats Wikipedia as if it was his/her own private territory and selectively applies a few specific rules that he/she is familiar with to make himself/herself 'king of the hill'. Thanking you in advance, I remain, DrDelos (talk) 16:25, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

Hi. Could you point to the editor and articles in question? *Cremepuff222* 21:48, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
I'm very sorry to bother you with this trivial problem, but it is the only work I do on Wikipedia and this guy is fighting me on every thing. He makes it out to be MY contributions that are worthless, but I don't even make contribution other than repairing vandalism and providing a few references. The article is 'Chantal Claret' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chantal_Claret The editor is Neon white. He had an RfD on it that he just now cancelled and changed into an RfC. Everytime anyone posts a reference for any the things he has tagged as needing citations, he finds fault with it. He must have just discovered 'weasel words' because now he is adding that to the need for references. DrDelos (talk) 22:50, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Well, there's not really much I can do to help you here. Take a look at dispute resolution, and try talking with Neon White about it. For future reference, talk forums probably aren't the best reference to add to an article either. The way Neon immediately removed those though was quite unacceptable. As for the weasel words, that seems to have been solved in this edit. If you have anymore problems with this user please let me know, but I think his edits are for the most part good faith. *Cremepuff222* 23:08, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your help and wise words. At first I thought he was just another editor wandering the Wikipedia tweaking it here and there. Soon I found that he has some kind of vendetta against Little Jimmy Urine of MSI which transferred to his fiance, Chantal, and eventually to me. His calls for supreme court quality references was/is uncalled for. The more references provided, the more strict references he wanted. I even saw him posting in other Wikipedia forums trying to get hints on how to disqualify references that had just been posted to the article. I've looked at his own articles and by a long shot, they don't come up to the standards he is trying to get from the people working on the Chantal Claret article. He has an article with virtually no references about a single play EP record, for gosh sakes. I thik everything will be ok now. Unfortunately I didn't write the original narrative, so it is difficult bringing it up to higher than average standards, because I don't know just where the info came from. I might try just writing the whole thing from scratch and then the references can be popped in right as they are used.

I certainly appreciate how quickly you were able to take care of this nonsense. Please let me know if there is ever anything could do for you. DrDelos (talk) 01:21, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Hi Cremepuff222, can you please take a second look at that user? The last warning had been issued in August. Snowolf How can I help? 02:43, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism by 76.29.23.218

This user has been blocked once and has produced nothing but vandalism. Anything you could do to help him lose this habit will be appreciated. Most likely he is a student and, unless discouraged, will have many opportunities to continie this practice overChristmas break. Thanks for whatever help you can provide. Theteachersson (talk) 19:13, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Question

I tagged Vinifera.md as blatant advertizing after a automated bot search, but the page is still there... It is definitively blatant advertising? --HotAbs (talk) 00:17, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Your tag was removed from the article and later replaced with a prod tag (which wasn't totally necessary), so I went ahead and deleted it. *Cremepuff222* 00:24, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Question

I want to remove on my userpage the wikipedia logo and replace it by the bouncy wikipedia logo... How do i do that? And how do i customize my signature? --HotAbs (talk) 01:10, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Well there are a few templates you can use for that, but I'm not sure the name of one off the top of my head. As for your signature, go to your preferences and put your custom signature in the signature box. Check "use raw signature". Make sure your signature follows the guidelines on signatures too. *Cremepuff222* 01:21, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Hello!

How are you? I'm quite good :) Check out my new talk page layout :) --HotAbs (talk) 00:44, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

MAJOR HELP

Hi Creme, my name is Ginger, Im one of the System Operators of AntiWikipedia.com, I meant to ask you a question before, couple of weeks a go, but I solved it before you got to read it. However, now I got another issue which you can definetely help me with. Im not sure if you ever heard of our site, we specialize in recycling deleted articles from Wikipedia. The issue is that I've been having SERIOUS problems with infoboxes. I'm not sure if you would be the correct person to try to help us with this, but please give us a hand at seeing what is the problem.

The issue is that some of these infoboxes are not displaying correctly at our site, we believe its a missing template we havent imported from Wikipedia but we don't seem to find it. Try looking at this page http://www.antiwikipedia.com/Myra_Hemmings which is using the Infobox person template located here http://www.antiwikipedia.com/Template:Infobox_Person . It would be nice if you can look into this and give me some feedback about what we are doing wrong. Thank you GingerStokes (talk) 16:47, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

MMmmm, Ok, wrong person, my IP is 68.173.179.133, not the one you are mentioning, plus in Wikipedia history i've edited not more than 5 articles, not the ones you are mentioning and blaming on me from your talk page. You need to get your act straight sir.
I was only asking for help, it would be appreciated, if not, then sorry to disturb you and I hope Teacher'sPet gets his supervising right this time instead of blaming vandalism on innocent users. I would be worried if this guy was given more power than the one he has. GingerStokes (talk) 22:33, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
I think Theteachersson meant to start a new heading when he posted that; he wasn't blaming you. Please be sure to assume good faith. I'll take a look at those infoboxes if I get the time. *Cremepuff222* 22:01, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, I'm full at the moment. I'm sure there's someone in Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User/Adoptee's Area/Adopters willing to adopt you. About that warning

I was trying to remove the vandalism from the Bullying article and wasn't trying to vandalize the page. CardinalDan (talk) 22:44, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Oh, I'm sorry about that. *Cremepuff222* 22:55, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
It's OK. I was trying to revert it, and I must have hit the wrong link. But I can see where you thought it was vandalism. CardinalDan (talk) 22:59, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Warning message help

at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Nights into Dreams..., did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed

I recieved this message after clearing up the typo on the NiGHTS into dreams page. Although trivial, it has been proved that the capitilisation of the name is intended and is how it is meant to be spelt, and therefore I object when people claim that the fixing of that mistake was not constructive and reverted.

Just wanted to make it clear that I did ntohing wrong, nothing else. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.241.233.215 (talk) 23:03, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Update: I did explain my correction in the edit summary page, but it went ignored. Concensus will take a while to gather, however the evidence can be taken from a video (http://media.wii.ign.com/media/873/873984/vid_2232017.html). I'll re-edit the page, please don't get angry when I do.

Sorry to take up your time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.241.233.215 (talk) 23:08, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Update again: I didn't mean that you sounded angry, it's just whenever someone disaggrees with an Administrator, it's always better to assume that they are getting annoyed (because 90% of the time, they are). And I don't know why i'm wasting time, I just love being right and hate being wrong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.241.233.215 (talk) 23:11, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

User Page vandalism

Your userpage has gotten an excessive amount of vandalism in the last few minutes. Do you think they are sockpuppet Ip's or is this just a coincidence? -Icewedge (talk) 01:07, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

I'm not entirely sure, but I have also been doing a lot of reversions and vandalism warnings. I'll keep a close eye on things though. *Cremepuff222* 01:08, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Hi my adopter! Do you remind me? (rsrsrs) Sorry for I don't talk to you in theses days, but I'm very busy in Portuguese Wikinews (the situation in there is a chaos, and they are needing of my help! =S), and I don't have time to talk to you, but I was contribuying here too; and with the tips of community portal I could solve some doubts, but I've many others doubts; and the first is: How I can get barnstars here? Here have some "Wikiproject of maintenance?" And how many time will continue our adoption? You know where is the politics pages of Wikipedia? And... (I'll let this question for another time!).

Sorry for my many questions (I'm a guy which want to know much), and if you have some while to answer hers , thanks! ;)

Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there.
The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors.
