My RfA:
[edit]Thank you so very much for voting support in my RfA. However, I have withdrawn due to reasons that a stressed user would withdraw under. I'm sorry I have failed you & your expectations. Thanks, Spawn Man 09:03, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
RE:E@L and Kyoko
[edit]Hey. I don't want to start any rumors about E@L, so please don't say anything about it. By what I can guess, it looks like she or someone she knows may have been sexually abused by a teacher, and thus has entered an incredibly depressed state of clinical depression. She hasn't said anything and I don't want to speculate, but that's what I can guess happened. As for Kyoko, she's made no secret of it; as I think you know, she attempts to kill herself a while back and has been emotionally unstable for a while. She recently felt really bad and so checked herself into the hospital to make sure she didn't do something drastic like try to kill herself again. I really ask that you be sensitive about this and tread lightly. Thanks. DoomsDay349 02:26, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
- I understand, but what exactly is this in reference to? IRC? I'm trying to be as sensitive as possible and I don't want to drive anybody away due to any perceived insensitivity on my part. ~ crazytales(lol myspace) 03:02, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
RfA thanks
[edit]Thank you so much, Crazytales56297, for your support in my RfA, which passed on November 11, 2006, with a final tally of 82/0/2. I am humbled by the kind support of so many fellow Wikipedians, and I vow to continue to work and improve with the help of these new tools. Should you have any request, do not hesitate to contact me. E@L and Kyoko
[edit]Ahh, they doth return. I feel so much better, and feel like we all did something good in helping them through their dark times. How about you? --teh tennisman 21:43, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- I try my best to be a nice wikipedian, even though being nice will never get me adminship. I'm really thankful E@L and Kyoko are in the process of recovery and back on Wikipedia. ~ crazytales(speak to me) 02:03, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
Two weeks ago I couldn't even spell administratur and now I are one (in no small part thanks to your support). Now that I checked out those new buttons I realize that I can unleash mutant monsters on unsuspecting articles or summon batteries of laser guns in their defense. The move button has now acquired special powers, and there's even a feature to roll back time. With such awesome new powers at my fingertips I will try to tread lightly to avoid causing irreversible damage and getting into any wheel wars. Thanks again and let me know whenever I can be of use. |
- One of the coolest RfA thanks messages I've seen. (: ~ crazytales-My talk--Your talk- 00:51, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

ArbCom questions
[edit]Hi. I'm Ral315, editor of the Wikipedia Signpost. We're doing a series on ArbCom candidates, and your response is requested.
- What positions do you hold (adminship, mediation, etc.)?
- Why are you running for the Arbitration Committee?
- Have you been involved in any arbitration cases? In what capacity?
Please respond on my talk page. We'll probably go to press late Monday or early Tuesday (UTC), but late responses will be added as they're submitted. Thanks, Ral315 (talk) 01:58, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
Your wish finally came true; I'm an admin
[edit]I wasn't going to send thank-you cards, but the emotional impact of hitting WP:100 (and doing so unanimously!) changed my mind. So I appreciate your confidence in me (and willingness to nominate me long before I thought I was ready), and hope you'll let me know if I can do anything for you in the future. Portfolio for ArbCom
[edit]On Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2006/Summary table, I added a column "Examples" with links that exhibit a candidate's arbitration skills. My motivation is that as a voter, I don't want to just rely on a candidate's words, but also see their actions. Moreover, I believe a portfolio of "model cases" to remember in difficult situations can be useful for each candidate, as well.
So far I have entered examples for the candidates who registered first (from their questions page), and I'm not sure if and when I will get to yours, so you may want to enter an example or two yourself. — Sebastian (talk) 00:52, 4 December 2006 (UTC) (I may not be watching this page anymore. If you would like to continue the conversation, please do so here and let me know.)
RfA
[edit]I have only been blocked twice; this time was an accident; I was genuinely shocked to find that I had.
The first time was a broad interpretation of the ArbCom decision on Ultramarine. All involved editors were restricted in their conduct on two specific articles; Stifle blocked both of us, minimally, as a warning, for a dispute about one line in a third article. Neither of us had breached 3RR, or it would have been more than 90 minutes. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 18:22, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- [assumes you posted this with a tabbed web browser on the wrong tab] Is this about your own RfA that finished some months ago? ~Crazytales56297 | t+c 18:26, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Hey, Chris, I just noticed this note on the Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Archive45 page: "I'd like to butt in here and congratulate Merond e for being a civil editor. Good job. ~Chris Don't be evil. 17:15, 21 June 2006 (UTC)" I didn't notice it before, and I just want to say thanks for supporting me. I have been on Wikipedia a while now and can call myself an expert editor. I'm gonna go back to that reindeer article and see what I can do. --Merond e 10:27, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

That edit summary
[edit]Crazytales, that edit summary of yours was not appropriate and I have commented on your RfA that it would be helpful if you would promise that nothing like that will ever happen again. Having said that, I want you to know that you have my sympathy if you are having to deal at school with any kind of bullying or harassment. Plenty of the older editors here were also given a hard time at school on occasion when we were younger, myself among them, and I know it can't be fun. You will be happier if, in your own mind, you keep your comments on Wikipedia, even to the grossest vandals, civil and separate from any other sources of unhappiness you, like all of us, may encounter from time to time. Wikiproject Automobiles Notification
[edit]Hi Crazytales56297, you were on the list of members at WikiProject Automobiles and we are introducing a new way of listing members, as the old list was becoming too long. Our new method involves having all of our members in a category.
To add yourself to the category just add the userbox to your user page by putting {{Wiki Auto Project}} where you want the userbox. Alternatively if you don't like the userbox you can add [[Category:WikiProject Automobiles members|Crazytales56297]] to your userpage.
If you no longer wish to be a member of the project, simply don't add the userbox or category, there's no pressure. Thanks for your time, James086Talk | Contribs 05:02, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- Userboxed already, and I still wish to be a member of the project. I just won't be incredibly active. My main area of contribution is photography. ~Crazytales56297 | t+c 12:22, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Request for Adminship
[edit]It is my regretful task to inform you that I have closed your request for adminship early as unlikely to achieve consensus. Please do not be discouraged; a number of users have had their first RfA end without consensus, but have been promoted overwhelmingly in a later request. Please continue to make outstanding contributions to Wikipedia, and consider requesting adminship again in the future. You may find Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship helpful in deciding when to consider running again. If I can be of any help to you, please do not hesitate to ask. [edit]As you requested, your username has now been changed from Crazytales56297 to Crazytales. If you haven't done it already, please remember to move your user page and your talk page using the "move" tab on the upper right-hand side of your screen. In addition, your request to have the account "Crazytales" renamed was also fulfilled. That account is now at Crazytales2. Redux 11:14, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. Pages moved, as well as user CSS and JS. ~Crazytales | 56297 00:34, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
- Why did you change your name anyway? --teh tennisman 17:14, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
- Not to speak for him, but I saw that someone in his RfA said that administrators should have easy-to-remember names, as opposed to a string of digits. Since Crazytales is going to try again for RfA in a few months and be successful this time, he probably figured that it was good to get that issue out of the way. Personally, I don't think it was a big problem, but what the heck. Regards, Newyorkbrad 17:18, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

My Request for Adminship
[edit]Thank you for your support in my my RfA, which passed with a tally of 117/0/1. I hope that my conduct as an admin lives up to the somewhat flattering confidence the community has shown in me. 'Thousand million' v. 'billion'
[edit]I reverted the change, because, believe it or not, 'billion' in Britain refers to a million million, or what Americans call a 'trillion'. See Billion (disambiguation). Ral315 (talk) 17:48, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
