Speedy deletion nomination of Maxtech Consumer Products
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Maxtech Consumer Products, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Zachlipton (talk) 19:54, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
- How do I know if this page has already been deleted? And I spent a lot of time looking at similar companies on Wikipedia before starting to write this, and followed the same style as Black and Decker and other companies by including history and links to back it up.

FYI conflict of interest guideline
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia in Maxtech Consumer Products or other articles, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. – Athaenara ✉ 23:27, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Maxtech Consumer Products
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Maxtech Consumer Products requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}

Good Morning,
This page is on my user subpage, how can I request help from editors to change it so that it isn't deleted again?
Thanks

- Hi there. Thanks for creating a userspace draft. I've gone ahead and moved the article into our Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation space, which is designed for exactly this purpose. You can find your submission at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Maxtech Consumer Products. Someone from our team of reviewers will be along shortly to review your article and will leave you one or more comments as to how it can be improved. From there, you are welcome to make changes and follow the instructions to resubmit it. Once it is ready, a reviewer will accept your submission and move the article into the main project namespace. In the meantime, I recommend reviewing the tips in Wikipedia:Your first article. In particular, adding URLs to your references where possible would be very useful. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions. Zachlipton (talk) 15:39, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Conflict of Interest?
[edit]Do you have a connection to Maxtech Consumer Products? All of your editing so far seems to have been done with the aim of promoting this company and its executives. I see that you previously stated that you are not affiliated with them, but please keep in mind that "supporting local businesses, including farmers and artists" is one of the things that Wikipedia is not for. By all means, create articles on truly notable corporations (see WP:CORP for the guidelines on this), but please don't go off creating articles on corporations and their executives just because you want to support them. Thanks. Zachlipton (talk) 21:26, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
Nope, they were just my first research idea. I've added more content and references to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Kuntz and am working on some other ideas.

- Splendid. Sorry if I seemed to be badgering you a bit and thanks for your quality contributions. Happy editing! Zachlipton (talk) 04:06, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
No worries, I'm just trying to get the hang of this, it's a lot more restrictive than I thought it would be, but I know it's just to make sure the content is correct and of good quality.

Replaceable fair use File:Tn great canadian1605 3.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Tn great canadian1605 3.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 04:50, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
