Better title

I would support "Juul (electronic cigarette)". You could ping all editors who commented if they would support changing it to "Juul (electronic cigarette)". QuackGuru (talk) 15:14, 18 January 2019 (UTC)

My first preference is for "Juul" without any disambiguation. But I'm fine with "Juul (electronic cigarette)" if consensus is that the e-cigarette is not the primary topic. Feel free to propose whichever name you support on the talk page and we'll see how it shakes out. Conifer (talk) 18:55, 18 January 2019 (UTC)

Declined speedy: Common People

Hello, Conifer. Speedy deletion work is important and I do appreciate the effort. I would just ask that you please review the criteria carefully because accuracy is also important. On that issue, I have declined your speedy deletion nomination of Common People as a technical deletion under CSD G6. That criterion did not apply because the proposed move has been debated and rejected before at Talk:Commoner, therefore the proposed move is not uncontroversial. You can open a move request following the instructions at WP:RM instead, and try to establish a consensus for the move. Thank you.. IffyChat -- 12:45, 31 May 2019 (UTC)

Move discussion opened. Thanks. Conifer (talk) 19:06, 31 May 2019 (UTC)

Cite error on Texas

Hi Beland – with this edit to Texas, you added two citations to a reference named "seeds". However, I can't seem to find a reference by that name in the page history, and it's now throwing an "invoked but never defined" error. Conifer (talk) 19:17, 28 February 2020 (UTC)

Whoops, I copied that incorrectly from another article. Should be all fixed now. Thanks for spotting that and tracking down the cause! -- Beland (talk) 20:05, 28 February 2020 (UTC)

Hi there,

Thanks for reverting the latest vandalism from this user. Just to let you know I have also requested that an administer look into redacting the histories because he is posting a full mobile number.

Cheers,

Railroad bridge

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Union_Pacific_Railroad&type=revision&diff=983486671&oldid=983395180

Fairly minor? As of last months, some of the lanes still weren't open. When an article doesn't quite reach the notability of creating its own article per WP:NEVENT, that doesn't preclude them from inclusion into a relevant article. On the other hand, you left in information such as "paint and color" section that is completely unreferenced which is arguably undue. If it was important enough, it would have been covered in secondary sources. The duration, and the number of people impacted also should be considered in notability. This was quite significant. https://www.enr.com/blogs/15-evergreen/post/48024-fixes-to-train-damaged-portland-bridge-ongoing .Arguably, it would be more notable than a yard accident in which one employee dies, because of impact to public. Graywalls (talk) 19:37, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

@Graywalls: I would disagree with you that damage to a bridge—and yes, it's fairly minor damage, as the structure did not collapse and is still permitting traffic—is more significant than the death of a railroad worker. These sort of incidents happen fairly frequently ([1], [2]) and it wouldn't make sense to cover them all. But add your content back in if you feel strongly about it. I'm not that invested in this question. Conifer (talk) 22:50, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

My Uploads to Wikimedia Commons

Hi Conifer, Sorry for the amateurishness demonstrated by my photo uploads related to Pomona College today. I have explicit permission from the owners of the Pomona College Timeline to upload these photos. I will try to update their permissions... and would appreciate any further guidance if you have thoughts! Thanks-- WikiWonderful99 — Preceding unsigned comment added by WikiWonderful99 (talkcontribs) 07:12, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi @WikiWonderful99: no worries! If the college owns the rights to these photos and is willing to release them under a Wikipedia-compatible free license, I would suggest having someone email Commons OTRS to catalog that. Here's a link to the instructions. Once they've done that, let me know and I can replace the "no permissions" template with an "OTRS ticket filed" template. Best, Conifer (talk) 07:17, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

A kitten for you!

Oh, thank you! That's exactly what I needed. I am new to Wikipedia, and was looking for this much appreciated help. Zatanna (talk) 07:58, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
