[edit]Hi Comte, I just gave you a reply - and by the way, you know you can sign your name by just doing four of those squiggly lines, or clicking on the link "Sign your username" underneath GFDL and the edit box? You're not from France are you? Wikidea 00:13, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- It's going to get a bit fully on the page if we start talking there. What I said was that the first companies with limited liability and separate legal personality arose in the mid 19th C. The chartered corporations of course had been around much longer. The difference was that you had to go to the government for a charter, whereas modern company law meant a simple registration procedure which any business person could fulfill. I wouldn't worry about my speculations over the nature of Capitalism if you're not an economist, it's getting rather deep. You might have noticed that I've written the page top to bottom as it is, and the most important thing isn't changing this or that title, or this or that sentence, but finishing the stub sections on modern economic theory. What it really needs therefore (same as for any changes) is properly referenced sources, either from the texts themselves that the authors have written, or from a decent degree course text. Thank you for responding to my post. In regards to the article, if any of the subjects I volunteered to write about were acceptable, where would you like me to write them ? For I know that you already have made a more or less final stucture to the article, and I would hate to alter it without your approval.
As for your personal views on capitalism, I am curious to read the main proponents of your point of view. I am not familer with any notable exponent of the view that capitalism has ceased to be (Except Kosjeve). Certainly many have described the economies of modren goverments as mixed economies but never as socialist (Prehaps that is in fact all you were asserting, and I have just been misinterpreting your post).
Again, thanks for the feedback ! Comte de Maistre (talk) 00:31, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
