January 2014

[edit]

I note your recent changes on 14 January, and previously, to the Wales High School page and your revert of my edits with no edit summary to explain this. The blue links to Wikipedia guidelines in my edit summary can show you where you have gone wrong, ie here: WP:WPSCH/AG - about the use (not) of prenominals, and here: - WP:MOSBOLD about where and where not to use boldface, and here: - WP:OVERLINK about overlinking common words. The section that I changed, and you reverted, was written in long-winded waffle style imperfect for an encyclopedia, fine though for a school promo brochure. Also, please do not removed inline templates asking for citations to prove text. The proper response is to find such references (to independent reliable sources - see WP:VERIFY) if you believe the text should stay - I can't find any such sources. You added back a named head boy and head girl - please read WP:WPSCH/AG#WNTI - while present and former headteachers can be added, any mention of other staff, and particularly pupils, should only be added if they are notable in their own right, per WP:BIO, in which case an article can be written on them - these are not notable.

I will leave you to mull over your unexplained reversion for a few hours to give you the opportunity to rectify your changes. As you are an inexperienced editor I am quite willing to help you, however, if you persist in reverting changes properly explained and linked to guidelines, this could be seen as disruptive editing. Thank you. If you have any questions add them to my Talk page. Acabashi (talk) 21:04, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have responded to your comment on my Talk page there. Thanks. Acabashi (talk) 23:32, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

February 2014

[edit]

Re your re-addition of "The Headmaster's Trophy" as a red link in Wales High School – please note that red links are for an entity or subject which is probably deserving of a Wikipedia article in its own right. If you believe this is the case why not write an article on the trophy with multiple reliable independent sources to show that the trophy is notable - see Wikipedia:Notability. If you can find these sources that the trophy is of international, national, or regional importance please get back to me and I will advise on the writing of such an article. I have replied to your comment on my Talk page there. Acabashi (talk) 16:54, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Removing AfD template

[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with The Headmaster's Trophy. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot I NotifyOnline 02:02, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Suth anston

[edit]

Hi, I'm Epparadox. CompactPine, thanks for creating Suth anston!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Hi, I have added some tags to your recently created page. These will help improve the overall quality of the article, they can be removed at any point once the issues have been corrected.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Epparadox (talk) 11:38, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Headmaster's Challenge, Wales High School, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 22:33, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
