A tag has been placed on T. Markus Funk, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. noq (talk) 19:56, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Victim's Rights and Advocacy at the International Criminal Court has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a book review site

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 19:56, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on T. Markus Funk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Hi there! I just thought I'd leave a note to say that I've tagged Northwestern University Charter, an article you created, to be transwikied (moved) to one of Wikipedia's sister projects, Wikisource. Wikipedia is not a repository of public domain publications, and we don't include the full text of primary sources. However, we do have Wikisource, which does both these things. In the future, if you have more documents such as this, check whether it would be appropriate to include it in Wikisource, and then add it there! Thanks! -- Lear's Fool (talk | contribs) 12:44, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Joseph Kalady requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. andy (talk) 22:24, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Atama 23:43, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Also, do not try to promote T. Markus Funk or his books, per WP:BOOKSPAM such blatant promotion is not allowed. Wikipedia is not a place for free advertising. Doing so in the future may lead to an indefinite removal of your editing privileges. -- Atama 23:55, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article John Thomas Ambrose has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Per WP:BLP1E, w shouldn't in general have articles about living people only known for one event, certainly not when it is a negative event which has received some but not very much attention (only two follow-up articles available through Google News)

Fram (talk) 11:26, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

About your edits

[edit]

Apparently you are reverting every article to the exact version last edited by you, no matter what the intervening edits, no matter how long ago. Do you recognize that you are doing this, and just how many edits by other editors you are removing? What are you doing? Antandrus (talk) 03:31, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop trying to use Wikipedia to promote Funk's books by inappropriately inserting them as "references". It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -- Atama 16:31, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You've indiscriminately added the reference to multiple articles, generally in a way that gives the book prominence (such as in the first sentence of the lead), and it's not clear how it is actually being used as a legitimate citation. You should definitely read WP:BOOKSPAM to see why that's not acceptable. -- Atama 20:26, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that this document can be hosted at Wikisource, however, not in its current state. If you are interested in having the document online, then we would be looking to source a published copy (preferably) or some sort of sourced version. If there was a scan available, that would be excellent. If that is of interest, then please contact me at s:user talk:billinghurst. billinghurst sDrewth 14:10, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Northwestern University Charter, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Northwestern University Charter. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. billinghurst sDrewth 14:13, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Victimization Dossier

[edit]

The article Victimization Dossier has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG / unsourced article with only one non-trivial mention in a single potential source

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
