Redirects to non-existent pages
[edit]These don't need to be listed at WP:RFD, they can be speedied under CSD R1. Also, if you are going to list a redirect at RfD, please follow protocol (located at WP:RFD#How to list a redirect for deletion. I noticed the redirects you nominated did not have the {{rfd}} tag on them. Thanks. BigNate37T·C 20:19, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Hi ColourBurst. I didn't close it because i'm on an IE computer, and the admin tools don't work on it. So frankly it's a hassle to go and look up the template commands to close it. This doesn't happen all that often, and usually another admin just closes the afd for me. But i'll go look up the commands now (it's probably something I should know by heart, but don't). --talk 19:34, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Thanks for your message. As a result of your message I took a second look, and I see no correlation between the article and the source. I'm very sorry, I must have been comparing a historical edit. I've restored the text, apologies again, Mark83 20:00, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit]-- Answer -- Thanks ColourBurst, there is no conflict of interest in here, it is easy for me to distanciate from my father's work, it is my work now, as art critic, I can do like an historian will do, I am conscious we are in an encyclopedia, I am not working alone, and I need to refrain sometimes my collaborators verve. I will cite sources, I have too much of them... I await the changes of my collaborators and I will proof read, and clarify the syntax later on. I am very sorry, we are slow and in the middle of the editing, it will come. Sorry. Thanks for your advices. --cesarharada (talk) 22:32, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, sorry for my friends bluntness, she's not wiki-centric. She added sources and links for my file, but assumed someone flagged as being untrue. ^^; I explained to her that you were in fact a editor here. LOL!
Please note the changes and note if we need to add anything else. Thank you,

Warnings on user talk pages
[edit]When using certain template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. Awyong Jeffrey Mordecai Salleh 04:30, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
- So far, no template I've ever used on a user talk page has been broken from been subst'ed, so I suppose it is quite safe to subst everything on a user talk page. :) Awyong Jeffrey Mordecai Salleh 04:42, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
Ooops missed that - is now closed. Thanks for the heads up :) - GIen 19:44, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- You can close it yourself in the future. Use {{subst:afd top}} Speedy Delete by user:whatever ~~~~ and use {{subst:afd bottom}} at the bottom. - CrazyRussian talk/email 07:09, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

I have noticed when you closed the above AfD, you did not remove the category template, "REMOVE THIS TEMPLATE WHEN CLOSING THIS AfD". By deleting this when closing it pulls the discussion out of the category. I have deleted it from this discussion, but if you could review any other closures you have done recently and remove the tag from them it would be greatly appreicated. Thanks. --Gay Cdn (talk) (email) (Contr.) 14:09, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Vanessa Minillo
[edit]Is there any way you can keep an eye on the Vanessa Minillo and List of Eurasians page? Vanessa Minillo has recently stated in a recent Maxim article that she is of polynesian descent not of filipino. Although on her page they say she has once claimed to be filipino, the source they give to prove this comes from a source that hasn't been proven to be reliable and if it was reliable information, more then one source (especially one that is not international) would have that information. So according to Vanessa's recent statements she is not eurasian or filipino and therefore shouldn't be classified as such.68.120.195.156 03:16, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

re: Interracial Miscellaneous
[edit]Thanks for the comment - I wasn't aware of the fork, just ran across the article while chipping away at the uncategorized pages backlog. Merging would probably be fine, which article to merge into is still up in the air it seems. Crystallina 02:50, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
OK, you're right, the article doesn't meet the notability policy for software, go ahead and delete it. If you could, leave a note on the talk page, warning others not to create this article unless the policy is met. I'd do everything myself, but I don't know if there are any other guidelines I should follow. Tukkek 15:10, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Re: Your comments on Notability and fangames
[edit]Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for explaining the concept of notability to me earlier. I see now that it's much more concrete in a Wikipedia context than I imagined, and although I still wish some of the more unimportant articles could stay, at least it makes the notability argument very clear. Thanks again. Rōnin 00:26, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Webcomic notability guidelines

I'm afraid the only sources that exist regarding Youmacon, particularly in 2005, are sites that contain hundreds of photos that were taken at the convention. Youmacon received a limited amount of coverage in its inaugural year. The only other source written by a third-party is the personal notes of a photographer who attended Youmacon. The photographer is from the site Fansview.com, which is actually a fairly well-known in the Japanese animation convention circuit. If one were trying to judge it to be a "reliable third-party source", I could see the argument for (and against) it. The reliability of what is, essentially, a personal account is questionable. Therefore, the link to the official website is the best I was able to do. If you're interested, however, the link to the notes of the photographer are here: http://www.fansview.com/2005/youmacon/yonotes.htm Shinkou 06:59, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your help regarding biographical pages. Ok, well, I guess since I'm too busy to do what you suggested at the moment (find some newspaper articles or other reliable sources to document his achievements.) I'll just let the page die, and if someone wants to do the work then they can go ahead without me :-) IanChai
Well it depends. I happened to have Konstable's talk page on my watchlist, so I have noticed all the goings on today and this did come to my mind when I read about it.
On the one hand this was clearly a delete; on the other, it was closed incorrectly so proper process wasn't followed.
If I close it now, would everyone accept that? Or should we relist the article? I'd rather just do the former, personally. --Robdurbar 16:33, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Black/White
[edit]Well then what do you suggest I put. Someone put Mulatto you knocked that down. Someone put Afro-Caucasian, you signified that wasn't a term. I think black and white is pretty cut throat. So what do you suggest? I think appropriate that instead of judging a term, you implicate what you think would be a better usage. That way the problem can be fixed and everyone ends up happy.Americanbeauty415 01:07, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Sorry I misunderstood you post on my user talk. You said I forked "Interracial" from "Black/White".. But that's impossible, I MADE the term "Black/White" to reduce confusion. I'm glad everyone has taken to that edit, but because of this, there would be no reason for me to rename it Interracial.Americanbeauty415 06:28, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Wait a second Eletrosphere is a good source it has more info than us I always take away the fanfiction from it though but its not that much. Please point out any fanfiction (Fancruft also) you see there. I guess I could find a source to replace the Ace Combat place I'll get working on that. And how am I supposed to fix the article when I cannot edit it to make so that nonplayers can also read it.Sam ov the blue sand 20:31, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

- Yes but wouldn't that go against writting about fiction or something like that and since you know alot about the policies can you help part time, please.Sam ov the blue sand 01:23, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
- As to how relibable Eletrosphere is, I made the article without first obtaining the aircraft in the game so at first most of the info came from there then I added my own info. Eletrosphere has both quanity and quality only some of the info is fan based and I always delete that info. And the forums aren't usally used for fanfiction and talking about talking about fancruft they usally talk about how the games interlink with one another, which they do, but all the adims didn't believe me about that and I got rid of it.Sam ov the blue sand 00:24, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- I was just telling my opinion on the article. --Sir James Paul 00:31, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Please read WP:STUB. Even stub articles need to have enough context to show relevant notability. Also, there seems to be no third-party reliable sourced information about this subject, which means that this subject is unverifiable. Please cite such sources if you can. ColourBurst 17:43, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- I have no personal knowlege of this person, however, after reviewing the history of the article about Chillán and seeing that this was one of several red links which survived purges by previous editors I was left with the impression that there might be a consensus among the previous editors that there is sufficient notability to leave the person in the article. My creating a stub was to eliminate a redlink hopefully leading to someone esle adding the useful material to the article.
- Perhps in a future moment I might find and add material, but I make no committment. --JAXHERE | Talk 18:11, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- I've just added a bit of material to the article after doing a quick Google search on the name. I'm wondering why people who are so quick to delete an article can't take the time to at least do a quick google themselves before putting on a quick delete. Is it too much trouble?
--JAXHERE | Talk 18:32, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Re: Sven Co-op
[edit]Re: your comments at deletion review, [1], I agree, the article was unsourced, but that doesnt make any of the information invalid or incorrect - anyone who has played the game knows that its fine. Why didn't the relevant editors simply tag it with an 'unsourced statements' tag and wait for someone to sort it out? Deleting it was unneccessary. Thedreamdied 21:09, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Title 10 USC
[edit]No worries...just can't work with all the constructive help I'm getting from you and Dr Bradbury. Title 10 is in and of itself a very dry subject, but crucial to understanding how US DOD is organized and operates. I was trying to lay in the structure and then add explanation with worthwhile references and links in Wikiland and elswhere. That is a slow and tedious process, which kept getting interrupted. If sandbox worked for me and allowed saving of my article while under construction, I would have created it there, but it doesn't seem to work for me and I have lost too much in prior attempts.HJ 01:37, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Finally, a useful suggestion that works!! Thanks!! I was bleary eyed from trying to find a way to do that and actually held off on other articles when I didn't have all the references or material ready to go. Cheers, HJ 02:04, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Flying Spaghetti Monster fork
[edit]Hello, thanks for the comment. So far I have not redirected anything but I did create a Bobby Henderson (Intelligent Design) page for discussion. I don't know what most people would search for but all the reliable sources listed in Flying Spaghetti Monster revolve around Bobby Henderson and his struggle against Intelligent Design-- not the deity he created. The Flying Spaghetti Monster article has several self-published sources. This is a problem but those self-published sources become OK if the article is about the man and his efforts rather than about the deity/religion he created.MikeURL 18:29, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- Bobby Henderson (Intelligent Design) was moved or changed to Bobby Henderson. Bobby Henderson (Intelligent Design) is just a redirect, so I'll suggest it for deletion. --h2g2bob (talk) 19:50, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
