[edit]

The page Waste Industries has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the content of the page appeared to be purely promotion of something or someone, and was unlikely to be suitable for an article (or at best would need a fundamental rewrite). Wikipedia is not a medium for promotion of anything, whether a company, product, group, service, person, religious or political belief, or anything else. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Information icon Hello, Cole Watts. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 15:04, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for promotional editing, and for violation of the Wikimedia Foundation's requirement for disclosure of paid relationship to the subjects you edit about. You were informed of that requirement in October 2016, but have not complied, despite the fact that since that time you have made at least twenty edits relating to subjects to which you have a paid connection (maybe more, as I have not checked every one of your edits) and a significant proportion of those edits have had an unmistakable promotional tone. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 16:05, 24 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Sister Communities of San Ramon, Nicaragua

[edit]

Hello Cole Watts,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Sister Communities of San Ramon, Nicaragua for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Request reason:

I have never received any money from any of the sources that claim to have been mentioned here. If my writing is promotional in tone, it's simply the language I use and i'm not sure how to change it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cole Watts (talkcontribs) 19:31, 27 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I have verified this is inaccurate. You created an article on Waste Industries in violation of WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO. Given that you were not honest about that, I cannot take your other statements at face value. Additionally, you state that you are unable to change your promotional language. As such, better you remain blocked. Yamla (talk) 01:27, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
