Whpq - The original submission for the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center page on Wikipedia has been severely reduced and looks nothing like the first version. Why is this extremely reduced version sill showing a conflict of interest? Cmclamb (talk) 22:05, 29 July 2009 (UTC) 22:05, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- The reason is because the edits of any substance that remain are still from editors closely affiliated with the subject of the article. -- Whpq (talk) 11:53, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- I have done some copyeditting on the article and have removed the COI tag. -- Whpq (talk) 18:10, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Reminder about our principles of operation here

In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. Thank You
[edit]I want to say thank you to Whpq, Orangemike and DGG (and the other contributors) for allowing the information about the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center (DCCC) to persist on Wikipedia.
{{helpme}} Please allow me to ask another question and let me know if this is the correct place to do so. The IP address that was assigned to my computer (actually a group of computers where I was connected) was banned. I have not been editing the DCCC pages to avoid any further conflict of interest but curious why the IP was banned. Is my tone in asking questions offending anyone? If so, please accept my apology!
- In your block message, you should see a line of text that starts with either {{unblock-ip| or {{unblock-auto|. Copy that whole line here, and we'll be able to take a look and see what's going on. Hersfold (t/a/c) 15:18, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
- I apologize, but I do not see any block or unblock tags that you mention. It's been unblocked as I'm able to add the question as well as this "answer." I'm just trying to learn the rules. Sorry for any trouble. Cmclamb (talk) 16:09, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
