Please help me with... I need to change the name of the company on this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catenae_Innovation from Catenae Innovation to Milestone Group PLC
I then need to set up a brand new page for Catenae innovation.
The reason being is that 99% of the content on the current page relates only to Milestone Group and not Catenae and we need to separate the 2.
I don't have the access right to change the name myself but I need to get it done in order to set up the new page. ClientManagement (talk) 12:13, 14 August 2020 (UTC)
- ClientManagement, do you have any connection to the company, and have you read COI and PAID? The latter is part of the terms of use of this website. Please respond to this query before making any further edits to that page. GirthSummit (blether) 12:45, 14 August 2020 (UTC)
Hi, I work for Catenae. I've been asked by them to change the current page to purely be about Milestone Group and to create the new Catenae innovation page to be about the company as it is today. Each page will link to the other so it's not a complete cut off.— Preceding unsigned comment added by ClientManagement (talk • contribs)
- OK, thanks for confirming. You need to read those links I gave you, and make the necessary disclosures on your user page, before doing anything else. Editing this website for pay without making the disclosures is a breech of the terms of use. You should also not be making any changes to the article directly - use edit requests on the article talk page, disclosing your connection with the company. I'd suggest that you write a draft of the new article, and use the WP:AfC process to submit it for review by uninvolved editors; if it is accepted, it may then be possible to get the other article moved to a different title. Thanks GirthSummit (blether) 14:13, 14 August 2020 (UTC)
Hi, I have read the pages. What is the best way to approach this. The page Catenae Innovation is out of date and incorrect. The company want to change that page to be called The Milestone Group as that is the name of the company what the page is actually about. Some changes need to be made to the box on the right hand side. They then want to create a new company page called Catenae Innovation with the correct company information. This isn't about creating a sales & marketing site, they have one of those! This is about the information currently on wikipedia being incorrect and potentially factually misleading. What is the best way to make this happen? My understanding is that whoever created the page no longer works for the company and so we are stuck. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ClientManagement (talk • contribs)

Hi, oh ok. I can change it to whatever you recommend :-) There isn't a multiple access here at all, it's just me and I was just trying to use a name that was nothing to do with my name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ClientManagement (talk • contribs)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, ClientManagement. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);

Hi there, how do I get around the issue that the current Catenae Innovation is out of date and incorrect? Catenae want to change that page to be called The Milestone Group as that is the name of the company what the page is actually about (and the company's previous name because it launched 2 years ago). Some changes need to be made to the box on the right hand side. They then want to create a new company page called Catenae Innovation with the correct company information. This isn't about creating a sales & marketing site, they have one of those. This is about the information currently on wikipedia being incorrect and potentially factually misleading. What is the best way to make this happen? My understanding is that whoever created the page no longer works for the company and so we are stuck. Please can you advise a way to do this which is compliant etc? — Preceding unsigned comment added by ClientManagement (talk • contribs)
- Please make an edit request on the article's talk page, Talk:Catenae Innovation. You should also read Wikipedia:Splitting to learn how to propose that some of the information be separated into a different article.
- Please note that each of these companies must be independently notable to be considered worthy of a standalone article. You will be expected to provide the necessary evidence of significant coverage from reliable and independent sources to satisfy this condition. We won't create articles solely at the behest of the company or its representatives.
- Finally, please sign your posts on discussion pages, as you were advised to below. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 21:43, 18 August 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Making the page about Milestone Group rather than Catenae Innovation
[edit]Hi,
I would like to request the following changes to be made to the Catenae Innovation page:
1) rename it to Milestone Group and 2) Create a New Page for Catenae Innovation which sets out this new (2 years old) company.
Rationale: all of the content on the current Catenae Innovation page is about Milestone Group. When Catenae Innovation was created 2 years ago, it wasn't just a company name change, it was an entirely new direction for the company. Catenae Innovation is isn't a company built on the back of newspapers etc in the way that Milestone Group was. And so for clarity, the page current should renamed Milestone Group (its original name) and a new Catenae Innovation page to be created. There is no issue with the pages being linked.
I am requesting this is done and for clarity, full disclosure, I work for the marketing agency employed by Catenae Innovation. Catenae have been advised by shareholders (and the City) that the current page is factually incorrect and misleading and it needs to be changed. The proposed changes below are hopefully clear.
Current page
Intro copy to be changed to read: "Milestone Group was a British Digital Media company. Originally a cross media proprietor with holdings in radio, publishing and television, the company then focused on the digital media. The company was based in London."
Box on right hand side to be changed as following:
Top change Catenae Innovation PLC to: "Milestone group PLC"
All content in the box to remain the same except - Traded as AIM: CTEA should be "AIM:MSG
- remove the URL
Everything else on the page to remain as is.
NEW PAGE FOR CATENAE INNOVATION
INTRO COPY
"Catenae Innovation are a British Technology company specialising in blockchain (Distributed ledger) technology to support highly regulated industries including construction, healthcare and hospitals, hospitality, facilities management, local government and sport. Data entered on Catenae’s blockchain-based systems can never be fraudulently tampered with. The company’s B2B and B2C products are fully GDPR compliant and validate the identity of individual employees and service providers or customers. They also allow businesses to remotely schedule work shifts and tasks."

Please advise that these changes are approved and how long it will take to do them. Thank you ClientManagement (talk) 11:31, 19 August 2020 (UTC) ClientManagement (talk) 11:33, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
Note: I have clarified a few points above and made the required changes a little clearer ClientManagement (talk) 13:38, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- You were advised to put the edit request at Talk:Catenae Innovation, not here. To make it really easy, please use the Wikipedia:Edit Request Wizard.
- You did not provide any references to show that this is a notable company. Without these, an article will never be accepted.
- You should use the {{paid}} template on your userpage to comply with Wikipedia's paid editing policy. It needs to be stated very clearly 1) what articles you are editing for pay and 2) who is paying you to do so.
Thank you, I have done the 3 things above ClientManagement (talk) 15:43, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
