Hi, welcome to my talk page! This is a place you can where you can tell me things I may have missed in my edits, and that's ok! I welcome mistakes, as long as they're beneficial in the long run. I apologize if I have made any errors, as I am relatively new to Wikipedia. Please note that anything you post here may not receive an immediate reply. Thank you for your patience!
Edit on Desmos
Hello, CosineTanSine and welcome to Wikipedia. It is nice to see another orchestra participant and mathlete here. I have reverted your edit on Desmos as it introduced non-neutral wording ("...with many features")
and lists of languages that Desmos was available in that were overly long and indiscriminate. Please take your time to review our neutral point of view policy and our policy on seemingly indiscriminate lists of things. Thank you. Regards, #prodraxis connect 21:25, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
- I have also had to revert your edit at Green Charge Networks. We do not add disclaimers that articles are not for promotional purposes here on Wikipedia. Plus, some of the words you added including
"achieve this through a unique approach"
are actually promotional. Please take a moment to read WP:PROMO and WP:NPOV. Regards, #prodraxis connect 21:39, 19 November 2023 (UTC)- Hi Prodraxis, thank you for letting me know a mistake I made (while it may be embarrassing). It has helped me gain a better understanding of Wikipedia. Thanks for the articles you recommended, they, again, helped me understand this better! 😊⩤五颜六色⩥ 14:33, 20 November 2023 (UTC)

Your user page
Hi CosineTanSine, I'm Primefac. You'll likely not be pleased about this but I have removed some of your edits because they reveal too much personally identifiable information about you. We have a policy of protecting editors' safety by hiding such information if they share it. I'm really sorry about having to suppress your edits, and I know it's annoying, but it's for the best. Please don't re-add the information. For some useful information on privacy and safety, you can take a look at Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors and Wikipedia:On privacy, confidentiality and discretion. Thank you, and sorry for messing about with your edits! Primefac (talk) 06:44, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice. However, I do have a question. When you suppressed my revisions, the edit history was completely marked with double strikethroughs. I have read WP:OS but I still do not understand why the entire history, from second-to-last to second-to-first, were completely marked. This isn't an accusation - I just want to understand this better. I realize now that I may have been a little to open on my page, and will avoid doing so in the future. ⩤五颜六色⩥ 23:55, 20 November 2023 (UTC)23:53, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- When someone adds information to a page, the entirety of the old page is saved in the history. For example, Special:Permalink/1185018125 is the first edit made to this page, but the content is in every version of the page until (and including) this edit. Similarly, the information you added in with your second user page edit was there until I removed it, which is why every version in between needs to be hidden. Hopefully this clears things up a bit, but let me know if I need to clarify anything. Primefac (talk) 11:39, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
