Meg White
[edit]Hi. I removed what you added to the Meg White article. The article doesn't need to consider the opinions of no-one in particular and it's not enough to say she is "often criticised". Who criticises her playing? Why are their opinions notable? Can you cite them? Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 19:03, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
- Almost forgot; you also can't decide that someone has "effectively retired" because you personally have not heard much from them. That counts as your opinion. I don't know what White is doing, or what she intends doing in future, but it can only be said that White has retired from the industry if White herself has said so. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 19:09, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
- Fair enough. --ChristianJosephAllbee (Talk) 15:15, 29 June 2013 (CDT)
"Minor" edits
[edit]Hello, I noticed that you are in the habit of marking all of your edits as "minor". This designation is really only for completely uncontroversial and small edits, like adding a missing period to a sentence. Things that no one would care about. Some people have their watchlist set up to omit "minor" edits for this reason. If you are making any kind of material change to an article that someone might want to review, please do not mark it as minor. Thanks! --Spike Wilbury (talk) 16:19, 3 June 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Caper454. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Geezer Butler, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. [edit]Per guidelines:
Instruments listed in the infobox should be limited to only those that the artist is primarily known for using. The instruments infobox parameter is not intended as a WP:COATRACK for every instrument the subject has ever used.

[edit]Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Space Jam. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Diff: [1] Summaries of critical response need to be supported by direct attribution to reliable sources. Additionally the WikiProject Film community is averse to "mixed to _____" language, since none of the usual critical response aggregators like Metacritic or Rotten Tomatoes use this phrasing. The "mixed to ____" typically represents synthesis, i.e. the combination of two different pieces of information to arrive at a conclusion not expressly stated by either of the two sources. Thanks. Please stop making unnecessary changes
[edit]Hello! It appears you're quite new to Wikipedia and so I'll be a little easy but you need to stop "cleaning up" "tightening" and making pages more "compact". These changes that you are making are not necessary and can lead to confusion, another thing you often do is re-order personnel to fit your preferences. These are your preferences and these personnel sections should stay alphabetized. One last note regarding "personnel", when a musician is also a producer/engineer you often remove them from the production section; please stop this as it then inaccurately reflects the production team as they are no longer listed in the "production" section. Please be more thoughtful of your edits, and have a nice day.

It just so happens that I have been editing since late 2013. Out of all the people that have edited the Tom Petty pages, you're the only one that has a problem with the way I have fixed them. I make these edits in order to accommodate people with short reading attention spans and I do not feel that they are unnecessary and are in fact practical. I'm sorry that you feel they add nothing, but I stand by every edit I have made to the pages. ChristianJosephAllbee (talk) 03:06, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
You are trying to say Disney was reluctant to do further animated sequels due to the performance of this film.
Your first edit stated this directly, without a source. This is original research.
Your second attempt added the unsourced fact (that there were no animated sequels in the following years) in a paragraph about box office receipts. This is implying the same unsourced connection. Please see WP:SYN. - SummerPhDv2.0 14:55, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
- On the contrary, what I said was that there were no theatrical animated sequels (but plenty of direct-to-video sequels). I don't feel that a source for this is entirely necessary because of how obvious it is. I understand where you're coming from with the box office performance, but the fact of the matter is that this was the last theatrical animated sequel to be released until 2002
ChristianJosephAllbee (talk) 15:14, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
- You are adding a fact to the article about The Rescuers Down Under in such a way as to imply that the box office performance of the film caused Disney to not release further theatrical animated sequels in following years.
- A: Box office returns were below expectations.
- B: There were no theatrical animated sequels in the following years.
- C: A caused B.
- You do not have a source for statement B that directly refers to this film, the subject of the article. You do not have a source for statement C at all; it is synthesis.
- Additionally, the sourced statement is that the film's box office results were below what the studio expected. "Box office bomb" implies something altogether different and should not be linked. (The film grossed over $47 million. The 20th highest that year was Edward Scissorhands at $56 million. That's not "highly unsuccessful or unprofitable" by any stretch of the imagination, unless the film's production costs were substantially higher than there is any reason to believe they were.) - SummerPhDv2.0 19:58, 23 July 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to The Wild Thornberrys Movie, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. SummerPhDv2.0 17:39, 24 October 2019 (UTC)

Please stop speculating about Hawk Nelson's future
[edit]Hi. We cannot say more than the sources do about Jon Steingard's departure from the band. https://heavy.com/news/2020/05/jon-steingard-hawk-nelson-renounces-faith/ states that "he has stopped believing in God", but the only mention I see about putting things on hold are in relation to his son. Am I misreading the article? In fact, he states "he was open to the idea that God was there" so this sounds more like deconstructing his faith than loss of it (which is my own original research on his writing). Hoeever, there is no commentary on the band's future in that article and making any claims that there is, is original research. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:42, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

Welcome!
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Ian Anderson, have removed content without a good reason to do so. Content on Wikipedia should not be removed just because you disagree with it or because you think it's wrong, unless the claim is not verifiable. Instead, you should consider expanding the article with noteworthy and verifiable information of your own, citing reliable sources when you do so. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 15:10, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
What you just did at James Woods, that's the kind of thing that might get you blocked per the above discretionary sanctions. The sources are clear: they don't talk about "controversial views" or whatever--it's lies and conspiracy theories. So be mindful, and leave your personal POV out of article space, especially out of BLPs. I'll ping User:Ritchie333, just in case, and I am going to add another DS template below, since it also applies to these edits. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 13:08, 4 June 2021 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at DC Talk. Four times editors have formally asked you to submit edit summaries. The requests date back to September 2018. There are other edits here making the request. You continue to edit without supplying edit summaries. It makes it difficult to understand why you're making the edits you make and not all of your edits make sense or are even remotely correct. Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:28, 12 July 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Scoob!, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Thank you. – wallyfromdilbert (talk) 18:05, 6 October 2021 (UTC)
Everything I added is based collectively on what was stated in reviews as seen in the "Critical reception" paragraph. It is added as a way to make a quick read for visitors. ChristianJosephAllbee (talk) 18:12, 6 October 2021 (UTC)
- That is not true at all. None of it was supported by reviews in the "critical reception section", and the only review that even mentioned "pop culture references" actually praised them, unlike the criticism you claimed in your edit. – wallyfromdilbert (talk) 18:27, 6 October 2021 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Birds of Prey (2020 film). This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. You've been reverted for inserting that link before, so please open a discussion about it on the talk page. Thanks. Musical instruments in Infobox
[edit]Secondary instruments are not listed in the infobox, they're meant to be brought up in the article body per Infobox musical artist. - FlightTime (open channel) 22:00, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
That's why I removed it. What I meant by the message was that an instrument WAS added (not that I added it myself) without a consensus and I removed it because of that. ChristianJosephAllbee (talk) 22:05, 22 October 2021 (UTC)

Ian Anderson - instruments
[edit]Hello, I reverted [4] your recent edit to Ian Anderson because as per the 'hidden note' for the infobox, changes to instruments within this should not be changed without first reaching a consensus on the talk page. Affleck at The Flash (film)
[edit]Hello, I just wanted to let you know why I have removed your addition to the Ben Affleck information at the article, and have noticed you've readded it. Affleck said at the time of the interview that his role in The Flash was a nice finish to the character. The Aquaman 2 reshoots for a cameo came after that, although we do not need to state every forthcoming appearance of a character, even after the actor says they are done. We also do not know any character or plot details on Affleck's cameo, and those would be helpful to state at The Flash article, but more so at the Aquaman 2 article as this is about the part he played in The Flash film. The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline on Black Adam
[edit]Hello Christian, you reverted my edit where I removed your claim about producer Joe Singer's comments in a Deadline, as you made it seem like Singer was rebutting THR's report about a being sequel being unlikely.
While the Deadline and THR report were published on the same day, the THR report was published later than the Deadline article.
This can be confirmed by checking the timestamps. The Deadline article was published at 11:45 am, while the THR report was published at 4:17 pm. So please do not use an article published earlier than another as a rebuttal of it.
Also after THR published its report, Deadline edited its article to remove its claims about a Black Adam sequel and Hawkman spinoff being in development [5]. While retaining Joe Singer's comments.
It's abundantly clear the Deadline article was published earlier. Please don't confuse what the two articles or use Deadline as a rebuttal of THR. I've regardless removed the THR article as it's no longer necessary and just speculation. Thank you. Roman Reigns Fanboy (talk) 03:01, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
Film reception in the lead
[edit]Please do not add your own Rotten Tomatoes-style critical consensus using synthesis. Per MOS:FILM: The overall critical reception to a film should be supported by attributions to reliable sources that summarize reviews; do not synthesize individual reviews.
We already have Rotten Tomatoes, which tells us what critics thought. We don't need you to add your own IMDb review to the lead, too. Speaking as an administrator, I see that you have a page full of warnings like this, including a final warning. I really dislike this whole "final final warning" that we sometimes do on Wikipedia, but you really need to stop ignoring both policy and warnings on your talk page. DC Universe
[edit]Hello, I just wanted to inform you that the reason I have reverted your edits at DC Universe (franchise) before and continually is because, as I explained in my edit summaries, we should explain to readers who may not be familiar with what these topics are what the DCEU is. As for your most recent contribution there, it introduced a run-on sentence, removed helpful clarity on the exact notion of Superman: Legacy being the true start, among others that I detailed in my summary. Please, make sure you check edit summaries when you notice your contributions have been undone, as there are usually editors willing to explain themselves through them, and communication is vital in ensuring Wikipedia functions. King Crimson
[edit]Hello, I've reverted your edits at King Crimson regarding KC being a band in the past tense. A band may still be active despite there being no tours planned and the absence of any confimed "plan" is nowhere near sufficient to declare a group as having retired. There is a conversation in the Talk page regarding the ongoing status of the band and if you have any strong evidence to support your claims, please provide it there so as to build a consensus on whether or not the band are indeed "retired". [edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page DC Universe (franchise) has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. I strongly encourage you to provide a detailed explanation of your changes, as opposed to stating "Fixed" when in fact there is nothing to fix. It better helps everyone in contextualizing what your edits are. Trailblazer101 (talk) 04:49, 26 June 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Greetings ChistianJosephAllbee, I will initially state that I was very tempted to issue a lvl4 warning with regards to your most recent edit on Phil Collins, because you very obviously have a lengthy history of improper citations and recent, repeating account sanctions for them. However - in an attempt to help keep you out of further trouble and try to correct the issue I wanted to give you some feedback here, instead.
Firstly - please be sure not to include tracking portions of URLs that you use for references. The raw URL to the exact, cited source is what is necessary - none of the ancillary tracking info which leads back to the original site which held the link you may have clicked on.
Second - simply putting a URL in between <ref> </ref> tags is not the appropriate method for citing web published news sources. There are features in the editor to aid you in properly completing the cite fields. Please make sure you thoroughly review WP:CITE and Help:Citation_Style_1#Online_sources to help you properly fill in and complete the necessary citation fields. This also helps preventing the need for other editors to come in behind you and clean up the references.
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me. Thanks. --Picard's Facepalm • Made It So Engage! • 19:39, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
