Thanks for uploading Image:Centru Nazzjonali laburista.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

Please do not upload images you find online and attempt to release them here under a free license or to the public domain. Wikipedia takes copyrights very seriously, and those images are not yours to release. Most of the images had to be deleted for copyright infringement. If you do hold the rights to these images, or there is some other reason you feel I have made an error, leave me a note on my Talk page and we'll get things straightened out. Changing the names of the Maltese village articles

[edit]

There is currently an ongoing debate about whether the articles on Maltese villages should be given their English names. Kyarichy has already gone and renamed a bunch of articles such as as Kalkara citing these changes from an old obsolete paper and http://www.geody.com, even though these names are no longer in use.

The naming conventions clearly state that foreign location names commonly used in English should be used as the article names.

It would be appreciated if you could assist us in this discussion. ~ ► Wykebjs ◄ (userpage | talk) 10:58, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading images/media to Wikipedia! As you may know, there is another Wikimedia Foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In future, please upload media there instead (see m:Help:Unified login). That way, all of the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. If you wish to move previous uploads to Commons, see Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons (you may view images you have previously uploaded by going to your user contributions on the left and choosing the 'image' namespace from the drop down box). Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Help us spread the word about Commons by informing other users, and please continue uploading!--OsamaK 22:10, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Several images that you uploaded, Image:Buttigieg.jpg, Image:ACassolaweb.jpg, Image:Malta-cbonnici.jpg, Image:Maltaboffa.jpg, Image:Malta-sant.gif and Image:Willie savona.JPG have been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. --HughCharlesParker (talk - contribs) 21:35, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. You were offered the opportunity in July to explain your assertion of ownership of this wide variety of images drawn from a variety of online sources. You have offered no explanation, but have continued to upload them, sometimes from the same sources for which they were deleted before. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 01:34, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article on the Partit Laburista is found at Malta Labour Party. Partit Laburista redirects to this. Labour Party is a general article about Labour parties around the world, and not about the Malta Labour Party, so it is not a useful link for readers. Please check your links. Thanks. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Glenn Bedingfield, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.maltatoday.com.mt/2004/05/16/interview.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. And, of course, the article immediately above. We cannot use text copied from other sources unless those sources are demonstrably public domain or consistently licensed with GFDL or unless our usage meets our non-free content guidelines. Toni Abela utilized a sentence copied directly from http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20080613/local/anglu-farrugia-toni-abela-elected-mlp-deputy-leaders. The other article took text directly from http://www.maltatoday.com.mt/2004/05/16/interview.html. If you do not understand our copyright policies or the non-free content guidelines, please seek assistance. You're welcome to approach me at my talk page. Of course, we also have a help desk manned by volunteers. But you have been warned multiple times, and if you persist in placing copyrighted material on Wikipedia, this account will be indefinitely blocked from editing in order to prevent our utilizing material in a manner that violates US law. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:08, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing indefinitely in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating copyright policy by copying text into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned multiple times that this is against policy, and on December 8th, I advised that an indefinite block would follow further violations. On December 14, you created the article Guze Cassar with text copied from [3], which site clearly displays copyright reservation: © Copyright 2001 MaltaMedia Productions. Please take this opportunity to be sure you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to quote non-free text. If you believe this block is unjustified or if you intend to comply with copyright policy, which includes verifying copyright permission on import of previously published text, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Given what seems to be intentional fraud in the uploading of file:Michael Briguglio.jpg (see immediately below), I am inclined to think you should not be unblocked without very careful consideration. You have given no evidence of copyright compliance. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:43, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have tagged file:Michael Briguglio.jpg. The individual is not dead, and fraudulent fair use summaries indicating he is does nothing to suggest good faith, particularly when you yourself placed the "living persons" category on his article that same day. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:38, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Chrisgill! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 4 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 19 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Angelo Farrugia - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Joe Debono Grech - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  3. Gino Cauchi - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

The article Marlene Mizzi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I cannot find any sources that demonstrate that the subject meets the WP:POLITICIAN guidelines or is otherwise notable per WP:BIO.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ukexpat (talk) 02:33, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Redtouch Fone requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:47, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:General Workers' Union (Malta) logo2.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:General Workers' Union (Malta) logo2.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
