Autoreviewer

Hi Chris, I just came across one of your articles at newpage patrol, and was surprised to see that an editor who has been contributing articles since 2004 hadn't already been approved as an wp:Autoreviewer. So I've taken the liberty of rectifying that. ϢereSpielChequers 19:18, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, WereSpielChequers. I've been out of things for a while, so that is new procedure for me. Much appreciated. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 19:31, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
You're welcome. Oh and welcome back. ϢereSpielChequers 19:46, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
Not really back, just scratching an itch. But, thanks.  :) --ChrisRuvolo (t) 19:47, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

This image is going to need updating.

The MTA is merging the M and V lines, among other things.Rickyrab | Talk 15:48, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

The idea is for the new line to run from far northern Brooklyn (and perhaps a small chunk of Queens) down the current "brown" tracks and use the Chrystie St. cut to switch over to the "orange" lines uptown, where it takes over the route of the V. This eliminates a link between Manhattan and Brooklyn (currently served by the M), but otherwise, all stations are still served by trains. The new line will have the color of the V and the letter of the M (yup, an orange M). — Rickyrab | Talk 16:01, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
Hi. Yes, I'm aware of the change. I will update the map when the change takes place. Thanks. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 18:17, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
 Done. Thanks. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 22:34, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:34, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. Is it just me, or is the all-seeing-reviewer-eye logo kind of creepy? --ChrisRuvolo (t) 13:43, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

While this NJ article seems to have been saved from the scalpel, an retained its FA status, there is now a discussion regarding how to define the Pulaski Skyway. In light of contradictory information and opinions your input would be appreciated Djflem (talk) 07:27, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

Bergen County signage

Hi there. I hope you find the references regarding the road signage to be adequate. The pictorials are embedded deeply within the refs. The refs are legitimate, although refs are extremely difficult to find on an issue like this. But if you're well familiar with Bergen County roads, you'll know that these four-municipal directional signs are not only ubiquitous but actually very practical in navigating around the county's towns and have been around for decades in conjunction with the county's development. They also are not found anywhere else, to my knowledge. Thus, I believe they warrant mention in the article. Best, —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.242.217.91 (talk) 14:49, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Hi. We know the signs exist, we need references that show that they are somehow notable and to back up the claims that they are unique and ubiquitous. Unfortunately, the references cited don't meet the wikipedia criteria of a reliable source, so I am removing them. I know you are editing in good faith and are trying to meet the policy criteria, so please do keep looking for reliable sources. I would also encourage you to create a user account so people know they are talking to the same person and not random people behind a IP NAT address, HTTP proxy or a shared computer. Cheers, and thanks for your contributions. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 18:00, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Will look for these refs as efficiently as possible, thanks :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.242.217.91 (talk) 18:30, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

NYC Meetup: Saturday, December 4

We meet outside by the trees at 5:00 PM.

Our next Wikipedia NYC Meetup is this weekend on Saturday Dec 4 at Brooklyn Museum during their awesome First Saturdays program, starting at 5 PM.

A particular highlight for the wiki crowd will be 'Seductive Subversion: Women Pop Artists, 1958–1968', and the accompanying "WikiPop" project, with specially-created Wikipedia articles on the artists displayed on iPads in the gallery.

This will be a museum touring and partying meetup, so no excuses about being a shy newbie this time. Bring a friend too!
