The article Teva Lea Race has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unremarkable event. Does not establish notability. Fails WP:GNG
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Richard BB 13:36, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
Your username
[edit]Hey, Chris, welcome to Wikipedia! I'd like to talk about something, if that's all right. I'm an admin here (doesn't mean much really, just that I help clean stuff up every now and then), and I noticed your username appear on one of the admin noticeboards. The issue is that your username can look like it's representing a business, like "Chris Fox Photography LLC", if you see what I mean. The idea is that, on Wikipedia, each account should represent one and only one specific person, but when accounts are named after companies, it can look like the account is shared between employees of the company. Not a huge deal, really; I don't think your intent was nefarious or anything like. :)
But, just to avoid conflict, it might be better if you considered changing your username; even something as simple as just using "ChrisFox", without the word "Photography" in there, would be perfectly fine. "ChrisFox" hasn't been registered by anyone else, either, so that makes it pretty easy! The easiest thing to do is to simply create a new account and stop using this one; that's all you need to do! You can also make a request to change your username here; this will keep your editing history associated with the new name, but it's a little more complicated. There are instructions on how to do so at the top of the page. If you're confused on how to do it, or have any other questions about Wikipedia, I'd be happy to answer them: just write a question either here or on my user talk page. Thanks, and again, welcome! I have tried to register as ChrisFox, but was not able to, so I have submitted the request to change the username. ChrisFoxPhotography (talk) 00:16, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of User:ChrisFoxPhotography
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:ChrisFoxPhotography, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Theroadislong (talk) 21:31, 3 December 2012 (UTC)

[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Teva Lea Race is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

ChrisFox, you are invited to the Teahouse
[edit]Hi ChrisFox! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called ChrisFox. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name ChrisFox~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
