A barnstar for you!

Especially for your hard work on Malaysian musems and historic site! Thank you! Wakanebe Wizard (talk) 03:22, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi, do you know when this building was built? Wakanebe Wizard (talk) 04:19, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

Uhm, as we all know, I only put the information on any Wikipedia articles I've made only if I can find it on any website as a legit source, or if anyone had taken any photo of the building information (e.g. name plate, wall writing) and upload it to Wikimedia Commons. Regarding that Straits Chinese Jewellery Museum, the only information I found is the opening date of the museum, which is in October 2012. But the year for the building itself to be built/constructed, I haven't found any information on that. Probably the next time I enter the museum, I shall ask all of the required information (for noble Wiki article) from the museum personnel itself by interview or other means. Of course once an article has been made, I'll try to keep adding more information to make it a more & more noble article. But since there are just so many museums/buildings/structures in Malacca which has no article at all at the moment, I'm trying to establish the very basic information first for such museums, e.g. name, native name, location, geographic coordinate, reference, opening date, construction date, photos (if any) etc. Chongkian (talk) 04:31, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, I've just found that the building used to be the former home of a prominent Peranakan Chinese. But still didn't know yet if the building was built either by the Portuguese, Dutch or the British. But, thanks for your time to focus on the Malacca topic. (you are now in Malacca aren't you?) :) Wakanebe Wizard (talk) 04:52, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
Yup, you got that right. At least I'm based here at the moment. Had been moving around before like in my Wikimedia Commons (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Chongkian) for all the photos I had taken before when I was at those particular areas. Are u in New Zealand or in Malaysia now? Chongkian (talk) 05:19, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
That's great, do you have plan to round the whole state? Currently I'm in New Zealand, but will come there if I get any chance. :) Wakanebe Wizard (talk) 05:28, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
Not really in my plan though. But I believe for sure I will go around, and shall take photos and get some information to make any new Wikipedia articles which is not yet exist. Anyhow, is there any more private way to communicate with you? Looks like everyone in the world (who opens Wikipedia) can see this page :P Chongkian (talk) 11:57, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
Hurmmmm, unfortunately. I'm like kinda that one who like to be private. Do you have WeChat? Wakanebe Wizard (talk) 15:41, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

Happy Chinese New Year!

Wakanebe Wizard (talk) 12:45, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

Oh, haha .. Thanks, I didn't expect this! 祝你农历新年快乐!I'm still wondering how to communicate with you effectively in private? Hmm .. Chongkian (talk) 14:19, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
You're welcome. It's okay, I prefer to become an anonymous. Wakanebe Wizard (talk) 18:10, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
Oh, I've seen my name there on your User page! haha .. Sorry for the few new articles or updates lately, a bit busy on business trip right now. Btw, I saw your writing on your user page So I have decide to retired from now .. Really? Please don't! Chongkian (talk) 23:37, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

Invitation to update article

Hello, Chongkian! I hereby invite you to edit List of heads of local governments in the Republic of China. You seem to have updated Template:Heads of the local governments in the Republic of China (Taiwan) but not the list! After updating you may remove the maintenance templates. The list may lack citations, so feel free to add it, or I may do the job. I have created an article draft on the list in the Chinese Wikipedia and I hope that it can benefit Chinese-language users. HYH.124 (talk) 09:46, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

Oh, looks like I've missed out the List of heads of local governments in the Republic of China. Thanks for the reminder, I'll update it asap. Thanks, and Happy Chinese New Year ~ ;) Chongkian (talk) 10:33, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
Done! The only thing is that if one reference is enough or not for the article. It contains all of the result of the election though (on the local heads). Chongkian (talk) 13:48, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

Malaysia Museums

You're welcome. I imagine it must be quite stressful to have a bunch of your articles all nominated for deletion at once, so keep checking for sources: newspapers, books, and scholarly articles are best. I'll do my part too. Also, you can keep track of what articles LibStar has been putting up for deletion with the AfD Stats tool here. He nominated another two yesterday. Good luck! Altamel (talk) 01:11, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

Thank you so much there for all of the efforts!! .. I mean, thinking this way, people should help more (instead of doing deleting-spree for the sake of "upholding sacred Wikipedia constitution") on the people who are willing to contribute their time & efforts to write new articles which have not existed before. Besides, that's what Wikipedia is about, to give free knowledge to everyone in a neutral point of view. It does take time just to write one article, because you always need the information on its name, native name, coordinate location, introduction, history (establishment date, construction date, opening/officiating date), website references, any facebook page, wikipedia article category, any information on the exhibition, any transportation info to that place etc. I guess all of these information can fulfill already all of the basic needs for an article to be established. To make this, it often takes more than 1 full day to do it. And again there are photos, sometimes you have to drive about an hour (or maybe 2 hours for return trip) just to get the photo of that place for the article, including paying entrance fee to get the interior photo (I must also double check if any photo taking is allowed or no inside any establishment). And again, most of these articles are still newborn baby, of course you cant expect it to have a long and deep coverage like let's say The Great Wall of China. And isn't that that's what Wikipedia is about, to bring equality to all of those establishment around the world in every country/state/province/district, not just only those in the United States or Europe. And these places are not just "small shops", all of them are well-established establishments listed in the local government/council/tourism website. All of tourists visiting the town will for sure visit these establishments. So yeah, don't expect it to be like the Louvre Museum in France where I believe there are hundreds of editor for that article everyday. We can't just let the big becomes bigger, while the small is being suppressed and deleted just like that. For your information, nothing among the article I do it for commercial purpose. All of these are my interest in spreading free knowledge and information to everyone in a full voluntary work. The least people can do is to tag stub for that article, instead of do that deletion tag. T_T ~ Chongkian (talk) 01:25, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bee Gallery Malacca requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Drmies (talk) 20:12, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi, can you create this article as you may know more about it? I'm currently developing the Malacca City article and I think Jonker Walk are not a single Chinatown but part of the main Malacca Chinatown after reading this. Your help are really appreciated, thank you. ~ Muffin Wizard ;) 12:40, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

Hmm, let me do some initial research first as the defined area (outer area border) of Malacca's Chinatown, and if there is any official boundary on that. Cuz sometimes over here things are pretty ambiguous. Even the exact border of Malacca City within Malacca State is never clear (not to mention Hang Tuah Jaya area also), which makes it a bit frustrating to create articles in which we have to know the exact detail to avoid overlapping with other articles/areas. Btw, if you are free and are around Malaysia/Singapore, please feel free to come to Singapore Wikipedia Meet Up 8 later on 8 November 2015 ;) Chongkian (talk) 13:21, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
