A tag has been placed on Sharon Lewis (voice actor) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ~Darth Starbo 21:06, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of The Raccoons on Ice, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.gilsinan.com/raccoons/specials/onice.shtml. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Short articles

Hi! Please flesh out your contributions a bit more; "X is a Canadian actor" doesn't tell nearly enough about the subject and might wind up in a whole bunch of deletions. Someone researching the subject already knows that the subject is a Canadian actor. Think "quality versus quantity." Thanks. PMDrive1061 (talk) 00:58, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And once more: Please avoid too-short articles and please flesh out the articles you've already made. PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:39, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Silverbolt, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This is particularly important when adding or changing any facts or figures and helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. -- Doniago (talk) 16:16, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The things I've written about her are true. I've done the research, I've looked at him three times - there's no mistake. So there's no need for it to be deleted. User:ChipmunkRaccoon 10:36 pm, April 23, 2010
I have no doubt that your article is "true" and accurate. But that's not the point. Articles here must be on subjects that are considered notable by our guidelines. Please read WP:BIO before creating any more articles. You clearly wish to contribute to Wikipedia and that's great: but we all must respect the guidelines for notability. thank you, Shawn in Montreal (talk) 16:01, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I swear, I've looked the sites over a dozen times already. I wouldn't lie about this. There's nothing wrong with it! User:ChipmunkRaccoon 3:34 pm, April 26, 2010
Which sites do you mean? The ones in external links? Unfortunately, I don't believe they qualify as WP:Reliable sources. Please do read that guideline, as well. thanks, Shawn in Montreal (talk) 19:41, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I mean ALL the external links, including imdb.com. And what guideline? User:ChipmunkRaccoon 3:42 pm, April 26 2010
Have you clicked on and read the guidelines as I've asked? Do read the guidelines. I don't believe IMDB is considered a WP:RS here (although others here may disagree) as a good deal of the content is user-generated. IMDB and many (but not all) blogs are not "reliable sources." What you'd ideally want is independent, notable coverage in books, magazines, news media, journals etc. indicating that this person is encyclopedically notable, i.e., not just passing mentions. Wikipedia is not a database for everyone who's ever worked in cartoons: generally, you have to be able to demonstrate through reliable sources that such a person has attained a level of notability. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 19:57, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I can assure you, imdb.com is correct on Sharon Lewis - she has been on the Raccoons, and those other live-action movies, as well as those two Barbie movies. User:ChipmunkRaccoon 5:03 pm, April 24 2010
Again, it's not that I doubt Imdb's accuracy -- or yours. It's just that an imdb entry is not sufficient proof that she is notable by our standards. Simply having roles in Racoon and Barbie movies is not enough: she should have garnered notable press or book coverage for those roles, won or been nominated for a major award, something of that nature. best Shawn in Montreal (talk) 22:33, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, how about this -- I heard her voice several characters in the DiC series of the Care Bears. And besides, there's not much on the actor Michael Fantini and that article's still up on here. How do ya explain that? User:ChipmunkRaccoon 6:49 pm, 27 April 2010
For your first point, please read WP:OR. As for the second, please read WP:OTHERSTUFF. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 08:30, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Michael Magee (actor) has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. A tag has been placed on The Raccoons on Ice requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Edit Warring on Silverbolt

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Doniago (talk) 12:44, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Steelhaven has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced, no apparent notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tom and Jerry and the Wizard of Oz, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. BOVINEBOY2008 00:44, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Olivia Hack, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. This is your final warning for adding unreferenced information. Please cite reliable sources for your additions or you WILL be blocked from editing. Thank you. This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. As has become common with your edits, we have no source to confirm it is correct. In fact, a number of the links you added link to completely unrelated articles. This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Small Giant requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. What's a matter with both Fantasia films? Did the Firebird scare you? You don't know what they're about, but I do. The Firebird trapped the Sprite onto a tree and is about to devour her alive. I or i?

[edit]

Hi,

I see you've just edited My_Little_Pony:_Friendship_Is_Magic.

I want to have your opinion. Should the 'is' from Friendship is Magic be I or i?

According to the image, the i is lowercase, and since this is a title, I made it lowercase too.

Why did you changed it to 'I'?

Thank you.

I noticed that you and others have been adding a middle name to the character Rocky Blue in the article List of Shake It Up characters. Unfortunately bogus name enhancements is a very common form of vandalism so need to see some support in the form of an in-show reference for support. As part of a worldwide series of tributes, New England Wikimedians, in conjunction with local institutions of higher learning, have created three edit-a-thons that will be occurring in May and June. The events are as follows:

Hi ChipmunkRaccoon! I see you reverting my bot's edit to your user page. Per WP:USERNOCAT, your user page should not be in the article category Category:American Christians. Category:Christian Wikipedians (or one of its subcategories such as Category:Methodist Wikipedians) would be more appropriate. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 18:32, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Monster in My Pocket may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hi - is this correct [2]? According to Festiniog Railway 0-4-0TT Prince was built in 1864, though I don't own the book referenced in that article to check. Optimist on the run (talk) 21:58, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Thomas & Friends wikia site and Ffestiniog Railway Society website, Prince was built in 1863. ChipmunkRaccoon (talk) 00:17, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
A Thomas and Friends wiki page (or any other Wiki for that matter, including Wikipedia) can't be considered a reliable source. The FR website states 1864, at least on this page - if there's a page that gives 1863 let me know. I need to add refs to List of Talyllyn Railway rolling stock; I'll try to get that done ASAP. You have been blocked temporarily from editing for persistently adding unsourced claims, frequently clearly your personal speculations, to articles. Considering the number of messages you have received about this kind of thing over a period of almost seven years, and the number of warnings about likely blocks, it is astonishing is has taken this long for anyone to seek administrative help resulting in your being blocked. For the present, the block is just for one week, in the hope that it will prompt you to start taking notice of what you have been repeatedly told. However, if you continue with the same kind of editing after the block is over, don't be surprised if you are blocked for very much longer. An individual Wikipedia editor's personal opinion on what something "appears" to be has no place in any encyclopaedia article. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 17:37, 25 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

When adding links to material on external sites, as you did to Talk:My Little Pony: The Movie (2017 film), please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube or Sci-Hub, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:

  • If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
  • If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;

If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. Eflyjason (talk) 01:11, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
