Block
[edit]Hello. You should have received a ping about this block, and you have a chance to appeal it. You need to understand WP:APB, WP:GAB, and that I'm a WP:CHK. Also see Template:Checkuserblock-account. Honesty will be your friend. -- zzuuzz (talk) 04:42, 19 May 2023 (UTC) U
- I am not entirely sure why I was blocked. I'm guessing it was related to the fact that I made this account at my school, which was in a range-block on the English Wikipedia for vandalism. The LTA block is also pretty vague. All that I have been doing is helping out with redirects and making some Spanish-related contributions to Wiktionary. I also understand that my username is related to a crude meme, so that could have linked me to some vandalism from my school's IP. I don't really know what to say. If you want me to stop editing from my school, I can. But I can't control what my classmates do, so that isn't a reason to classify me as a meatpuppet. CheezDeez (talk) 05:45, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Hi. Yeah no that wasn't the answer I was looking for. If you're going to stand by that, last chance, then you'll have to roll the dice with a third party review. You can add the unblock template to this page to flag down a reviewer, or you can contact Arbcom to appeal. Details are in the documentation I've already linked. -- zzuuzz (talk) 06:12, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- And hey, I'll give you a tip. I've removed the LTA moniker, as I suspect that isn't accurate, but this remains a checkuser block, which means it's related to other accounts. You know, other accounts ;) -- zzuuzz (talk) 06:44, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Do you mean the public accounts that I signed on to? Because I don't run any of those. I was just testing because I knew most public accounts are globally blocked by stewards and I was surprised that one wasn't. If that was problematic, it's my mistake. However, I didn't use any of those accounts to vandalize or even edit Wikipedia. I tried to use the accounts to spread awareness of this type of account, similar to this example here. CheezDeez (talk) 23:26, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Progress. One of those accounts ended up being used by a long term abuser using the password you supplied them. You may think you were being helpful, but that turned out to be not the case. But you also changed the password on one of the accounts and proceeded to post the new password! That's very questionable. So look I don't think you're a bad person of irredeemable character, but I guess we need to find some undertaking so that we won't find ourselves in this position again. Your thoughts? -- zzuuzz (talk) 23:48, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Could you please provide me with the link to the other public account I logged into? I believe I did that on incognito mode, so I can't find it in my site history. I think I logged into a different account than User:Passwordpass, but that was the one where I changed the password and posted it. I was not used to the whole public account situation, so I didn't know what to do. CheezDeez (talk) 07:19, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
- Here, but we also have a record of all the other accounts you tried, such as Googaloo and Emo joe (not to mention that you actually had another account of your own). So how about this. No more password guessing. We really do take a dim view of that, and it can easily lead to problems. If you happen to find a 'public account', you don't edit with it but either report it or just scramble the password, as Ed did in your example. In exchange I lift the block affecting this account. Sound reasonable? -- zzuuzz (talk) 07:56, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
- Sure. But I also want to state that the User:Professional boxing account was not used abusively at all. I was curious, so I looked through some creation-protected pages, and I wanted to see what would happen if I created that user. CheezDeez (talk) 15:41, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
- OK. Happy editing. And feel free to give me a shout if you need anything. -- zzuuzz (talk) 19:51, 20 May 2023 (UTC)

Request reason:
I have been blocked for long-term abuse. I don't completely understand why I've been blocked. I believe it is because of a range block for my school which I created my account on. I realize there has been some vandalism from that IP address, but I am here to make constructive edits, and I don't believe there is much evidence that suggests otherwise. I have plans to help with this project and continue making constructive edits as I have already done. If my username is considered disruptive, I would be open to changing it. Overall, I do want to contribute to Wikipedia, and if I practice, I believe I can help with this project. CheezDeez (talk) 06:47, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Confirmed sockpuppetry. The technical evidence is clear. Yamla (talk) 10:26, 19 May 2023 (UTC)

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
