Regarding edits made during August 1, 2006 (UTC)

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. If this is an IP address, and it is shared by multiple users, ignore this warning if you did not make any unconstructive edits. Chaser T 09:51, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

I did not vandalize the page. In the portal page 'Cannabis' was listed under 'Arts and Culture' and under 'Science and Math.' I removed 'Cannabis' from 'Arts and Culture.' A portal needs only to be listed once.

ABC peer review

Just added two links I felt were necessary to the article. I was about to start the science summary we discussed, but I thought it would be better to put it up for peer review first; and ask them if they think we should implement that (and other things) to bring it to FA standard. With that mandate it would help motivate me to create the new section. Your thoughts? - RoyBoy 800 00:52, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

I like the links. I did a rough draft summarizing the science section here, though perhaps we could move some information from the conclusion section up and merge it there (I've never seen a conclusion section in a wikipedia article, though I'm not opposed to the idea, either).--ChaserT 01:01, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
Interesting idea. Yeah the Conclusion section is a curiosity, I kept it to help distinguish for the reader what the skinny was since the science section was huge. :"D Since its not huge anymore, indeed a merge seems to be in the cards. I'll add that meme to the peer review and take the liberty of merging it in your sandbox for peer reviewers to see. - RoyBoy 800 04:11, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Hello, I have rewritten this article. I hope you might reconsider your opinion? CanadianCaesar Et tu, Brute? 09:04, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Your To-Do list - Sunday Closing Laws

I noticed that you wanted to start an article on Sunday closing laws, and thought I'd mention that such an article already exists at Blue law. --Tim4christ17 21:29, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't realize it existed. I'll have to do some research to decide whether separate articles are worth it. Cheers!--Chaser T 21:53, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Mistaken vandalism warning

I am sorry about that warning. You reverted the page miliseconds before me and I meant to warn the vandal. Sorry again. Wikipediarules2221 19:35, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

No sweat. These things happen.--Chaser T 19:36, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Wookieepedia

After your contribution to Physics and Star Wars, I am curious if you would be a member of the English Wookieepedia and help expand on material there. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:08, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the invite. I'm a big fan of both physics and sci-fi generally, but I don't know enough about Star Wars to contribute at Wookiepedia. Sorry. Feel free to copy more of my contributions to the physics article to Wookiepedia in case I forget. Thanks for crediting me for the stuff I already did. Best of luck here and at Wookiepedia.--Chaser T 06:13, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Chaser, Thanks for adding a comment about Arend Lijphart's membership in Eurela network to the discussion about deletion of the European election law association's entry. I am new to the Wikipedia so I am not sure what to do now in order to relist the page and to remove the AFD notice. Who can be the closing admin? Thanks, 164.8.4.123 16:35, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

  • You're welcome. Don't worry about relisting or closing. The administrators who monitor WP:AFD will get to it soon enough. We can still start discussing notability, now, though.--Chaser T 16:57, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

I noticed that you created Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anirvan Ghosh. I wanted to let you know that the Anirvan Ghosh article has been expanded a bit, and I think that it now shows that he is notable. TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 23:02, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

Wow! Amazing. MyWikiBiz actually changed someone's mind from "Delete" to "Keep"? I feel so honored! -- MyWikiBiz 22:09, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
lol. Now let's hope it gets kept. Cheers!--Chaser T 22:14, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Indeed, I've had quite the misadventure tonight. I think I've finally got it fixed, though.--Chaser T 08:26, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

AfD

Thanks a lot for your help and for clarifying!! I actually did step 1 in both cases, however if you look here and here, you will see that the editors had no intention of keeping the tag there. According to the directions here, it says that I'm not supposed to put them back on the page; rather, I should list the Afd's on the page where they are right now. --Palffy 00:17, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

No, that's just for prod. AfD tags are not supposed to be removed once placed. Doing so is actually considered vandalism. You'll see many a "contested prod" (prod tag removed) taken to AfD.--Chaser T 00:21, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
Aah, gotcha. Thanks for the tips! --Palffy 00:25, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
You're welcome. No sweat.--Chaser T 00:27, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Email

I sent you an email with an explanation. Michael 02:19, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Email received. That makes sense.--Chaser T 02:24, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. Michael 02:39, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

RFA Voting explainations

Thank you for your concern about my explainations. I feel I was sufficient in my explainations and do not wish to either feed the trolls, or cause a further conflict with other wikipedians, nor lengthen the page any further then necessary. I much prefer to explain my reasons after an election. --Masssiveego 04:27, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

RfA is not a vote: your input has little weight without some proper justification before the RfA is closed. RandyWang (chat me up/fix me up) 13:03, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for the revert on my talk page--1568 05:55, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome. Good thing we got the vandal blocked.--Chaser T 06:03, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Sig length

Yeah, I figured is was a bit obnoxious anyway. Just a bit over 200 char's now. (|-- UlTiMuS 09:12, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the revert on my talk page 10 days ago. The vandal seemed to vandalize your page too. -- Michaelas10 14:00, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, they do that. You're welcome.--Chaser T 16:10, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Double voting

Thanks for the heads-up on the RfA double voting; even as I imagine my opinion ought to count doubly :), I really ought to pay better attention. Joe 20:53, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

I'd not known Tangobot's RfA analysis report—as is transcluded on BN—to be different from that of Dragons flight; thanks for the tip! Joe 04:14, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

Wangi/RFA

Thanks for your support on my RfA. Give me shout if I can be of help. Thanks/wangi 00:27, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Long-Overdue RfA Thanks from Alphachimp

Thanks for your support in my not-so-recent RfA, which was successful with a an overwhelmingly flattering and deeply humbling total of 138/2/2 (putting me #10 on the RfA WP:100). I guess infinite monkey theorem has been officially proven. Chimps really can get somewhere on Wikipedia.

With new buttons come great responsibility, and I'll try my best to live up to your expectations. If you need assistance with something, don't hesitate to swing by my talk page or email me (trust me, I do respond :)). The same goes for any complaints or comments in regard to my administrative actions. Remember, I'm here for you.
