Adoption
Hi CharlesDrakew, I am relatively new to editing on Wikipedia even though I have been a member for over a year. I was hoping that you would be able to adopt me to help me become better as a Wikipedian editor. Thanks Qaei Qaei (talk) 11:39, 15 May 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Qaei. I am too busy to do much right now but I am happy to help with any specific issues. I will certainly not be able to help with making bots. Way beyond me. Good luck editing.Charles (talk) 08:11, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
Adoption Request
I am interested in mentors hip. Even though I have several hundred edits now, I'm still not quite perfect and have been blocked before. Could you please adopt me to try and improve myself and my skills. Reply soon and thanks. Pablothepenguin (talk) 15:49, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry. I do not have much spare time right now. You seem to be doing well as is. Happy editing.Charles (talk) 16:33, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- Are you sure, I think you should reconsider, I could really do with an adoption, you know. Pablothepenguin (talk) 17:22, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

Wells Cathedral
Hi, why did you revert my edits on [Wells Cathedral]]. They are entirely relevant. I have improved their fluency and re-added. If you still object, please reply on here with your reason before deleting.
Best wishes

London General
Hey Charles, hope you are well
That revert you performed on the page was leaning towards a blind revert, and was slightly unconstructive.as there was a CN there. The reason I added a [citation needed] was because no web sources have yet been published of this, however I can try to find them now, or they have been mentioned in magazines which i don't have. Thanks! Class455fan1 (talk) 14:39, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
- Ahh, seems as if one has been published, from TfL. Will replace the CN with that. But just as some advice for the future, if you see anything thats unsourced, add a [citation needed] and if nothing is added within a certain time period, remove it. It saves users coming to complain and eventually turning into an argument.Otherwise, there is no point of having cn's. Just a heads up. Thanks and have a nice day! - Bollocks. There was nothing unconstructive with my revert. Get your source sorted out before replacing referenced text with unreferenced text.Charles (talk) 14:51, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
- Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi, I was only giving him some advice because of the "If this user makes a mistake, please let them know" user box on Charles's user page (I've got this on my page as well) and based on experience of a past discussion I was involved in about the same kind of thing. Best Regards. Class455fan1 (talk) 15:09, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
- Charlesdrakew Geez, you're not my mother, or are you my mother in disguise???? 😂😜 (thats the kind of thing she would say, looool). Cheers! Class455fan1 (talk) 15:15, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi
Hi, since you like reverting edits, can you look at this article and see what's unsourced and remove accordingly? Thanks. Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CSR Qingdao Sifang C151A 33ryantan (talk) 10:00, 13 July 2016 (UTC)

The West Country Challenge
I presume you have heard about The West Country Challenge?
The The West Country Challenge will take place from 8 to 28 August 2016. The idea is to create and improve articles about Bristol, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Dorset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
The format will be based on Wales's successful Awaken the Dragon which saw over 1000 article improvements and creations and 65 GAs/FAs. As with the Dragon contest, the focus is more on improving core articles and breathing new life into those older stale articles and stubs which might otherwise not get edited in years. All contributions, including new articles, are welcome though.
Work on any of the items at:
or other articles relating to the area.
There will be sub contests focusing on particular areas:
- Bristol (Day 1-3)
- Cornwall and Scilly (Day 4-6)
- Devon (Day 7-9)
- Dorset (Day 10-12)
- Gloucestershire (Day 13-15)
- Somerset (Day 16-18)
- Wiltshire (Day 19-21)
To sign up or get more information visit the contest pages at Wikipedia:WikiProject England/The West Country Challenge.— Rod talk 16:43, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
Hi
I noticed you are willing to adopt. Would you be cool with adopting me? I'm a new user and feel that having guidance to help me get the hang of editing and research would really help. I also noticed you are from the UK (saw it on your entry on the adoptee page) which is good as I also am.--Armanikoka (talk) 10:59, 21 July 2016 (UTC)

About changes in Abiogenesis
Dear Charles, I'm KC.
I have noticed you have reverted the change i have made based on my new findings in regards of the Iron-sulfur world and thioester in the Abiogenesis page. I would like to have that entry back to serve as a constraining factor to this hypothesis. There has a been a lack of experimental results to verify such hypothesis; we have did the measurements and are convinced that the hypothesis, despite it's compelling narrative, has problems. Generally, the OoL is a problematic place because negative results are generally frown up and we would want to make a difference by having our work up there on the page as a sign of good and fair science, despite the probable bashings from the creationist.
Thank You — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nahuk82 (talk • contribs) 08:56, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

Hi, you previously contributed to a deletion discussion for London bus route 99, another similar deletion discussion is ongoing at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/London Buses route 53 which you may wish to give your input on.
Note: I've placed (or am in the process of placing) this notification on the talk page of anyone who took part in the original deletion discussion, as the most recent similar discussion, regardless of deletion preference, which is allowable under WP:CANVASS. The only exception being if that person has already contributed, or has indicated on their profile that they are inactive.
