Write for the Rights Nigeria

Hi Celestina007: Thank you for the welcome. I am not editing with multiple accounts, I have only one account which is the account with the username: Edriiic. I have multiple tabs of Wiki opened whenever I am editing or creating an article. I am not operating on anything with another person, kindly recheck the pattern for more clarity. Also on the Enioluwa Adeoluwa article, I saw the review and I just want to point out that I don't have a close relationship with the subject, never met him before. I am participating in a project, read more about it here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Write_for_the_Rights_Nigeria This article Enioluwa Adeoluwa was listed in the article list. Enioluwa Adeoluwa has a huge impact on the LGBTQ community in Nigeria, this open-source knowledge will help youth that is finding it hard in accepting themselves for who they are. Thank you for your work :) Edriiic (talk) 15:53, 23 September 2021 (UTC)

@Edriiic sorry for the very late response, I’ve been doing a lot of maintaining the project as a whole as well as developing a project of mine. It’s okay, please prior creating articles ensure they meet WP:GNG. The fact that you are engaging in the write for rights isn’t an excuse neither is it leeway for you to create just any type of article. If you have further questions feel free to ask me whenever you are in doubt. Celestina007 (talk) 20:52, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for the response, but I want to clarify, is it that the article doesn't meet the notability standard of Wikipedia? Because I made sure to follow reference reliable sources.Edriiic (talk) 06:57, 30 September 2021 (UTC)
I don’t think it does, I took a second look at the article and I guess as of now what I’m interested in is, in what capacity are you acquainted with the subject of your article? Are you both affiliated in any which way? If your answer is “No” how did you get this image as your own work? Celestina007 (talk) 10:01, 1 October 2021 (UTC)

Please provide feedback if you have time

Hello Celestina007, I see that you have made numerous excellent contributions to the Wikpedia project. The is a no consensus on Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Anusha_Rai_(2nd_nomination) and since this is a page you have commented on in the past, may I ask you for your objective analysis -- if you time of course. Thank you. Gentleman wiki (talk) 02:08, 1 October 2021 (UTC)

You are canvassing which isn’t appropriate. I’m not !voting nor will I provide feedback because If I do so I would be then considered a “canvassed editor”. I’m sorry. Celestina007 (talk) 09:56, 1 October 2021 (UTC)

User:Celestina007 B.Korlah (talk) 19:35, 4 October 2021 (UTC)

@B.Korlah, hello, Thanks for creating the article, whilst I do not do typically do reviews on request I have reviewed the article. For future sake please do note this. Celestina007 (talk) 22:05, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
Celestina007, Hello, it’s noted with thanks, I normally do not that, but I was forced too when I noticed it’s been a while and it’s yet to be reviewed. Furthermore, I appreciate you and it’s noted. Thank you B.Korlah (talk) 22:15, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
The delay is not unusual, Patience is quite the virtue at such moments. I’m happy to be of service all the same. Celestina007 (talk) 22:20, 5 October 2021 (UTC)

A question about sandbox

Hello Celestina Bond, Good morning from this end, I hope your ‘007’ represents ’Bond’😅. My question is, what is the right way to use a sandbox? Is it to create the article then move to the original name on main space or create the article in the sandbox, then copy and paste everything to the original name on main space. The one moved goes with the revision history while the one copied has no revision history. Now, please which is the right one to do? Normally, there's a pattern I follow, but I want to clarify something that's why I decided to ask. And I have my reasons for asking you and not asking in the teahouse. Thanks for your time, will be expecting your reply. --Comr Melody Idoghor (talk) 10:58, 7 October 2021 (UTC)

@Idoghor Melody, all of the aforementioned are manners in which an article is created. Whilst in my philosophical stance there isn’t a “right way” to create an article, that’s very subjective. Having said, if a given editor doesn’t possess the satisfactory knowledge on our policy on notability I generally wouldn’t advise directly creating into mainspace. I encourage the use of sandbox or draft, after creating via sandbox you may move the article to Draftspace where I also encourage users to use the AFC method to submit the article and not manually move nor copy paste to mainspace. Celestina007 (talk) 19:50, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
@Celestina007: Thanks for the answer. --Comr Melody Idoghor (talk) 19:57, 8 October 2021 (UTC)

NPP

It seems that in times of lack of coordination or clear leadership, you have become somewhat of a driving force at NPP. Not everyone is going to agree with everything you say, that's normal, but you have my support. Don't relax, keep up the good work 🙂 Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:31, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

@Kudpung, thanks dear friend, to the best of my ability I’d try as much as I can to help at NPP. Furthermore thanks for the kind words, I’m aware of your vow to avoid as much as possible editing here, coming out of retirement to give me this compliment means a lot to me. Celestina007 (talk) 03:11, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
Regarding leadership at NPP, whilst I try my best, I believe my superiors Barkeep49 and Rosguill do a splendid job given the fact they do other heavy lifting site-wide. Celestina007 (talk) 11:05, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
There are no superiors on Wikipedia. It just has some people who have time to spend a lot of time on Wikipedia to the extent they get to know a lot of stuff and use it eloquently and persuasively. Some call it leadership, a better term would be 'initiative'. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 11:45, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
🤦‍♀️ It’s the Nigerian in me, we are taught utmost respect from a very tender age 😊. Celestina007 (talk) 14:21, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

Question From Herpetogenesis

If you don't mind, I would be happy to get a brief explanation of what all of this is about, if you are comfortable with sharing. What exactly are forest spirits, animal sacrifices, potions, and incarnations in modern-day Nigeria? In college GE classes, I've read about these things in anthropology books from decades ago, but they all seemed pretty darn abstract to me. Maybe we can move this to another talk page if you want. HᴇʀᴘᴇᴛᴏGᴇɴᴇꜱɪꜱ (talk) 13:56, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

@Herpetogenesis, i moved this from MER-C's, I hope you don’t mind. Yes I’d be happy to answer your questions, I’m a martinist, & I practice Gnosticism so I’ve dabbled and still dabble in occultism. So your first question, forest spirits are just that, forest spirits, if you have read the Bible, you’d note the Fallen angels that rebelled were cast down to earth some decided to reside underneath the water, some on mountains and some in the forest, in Nigerian mythology the forests in which the fallen angels (forest spirits) reside in are referred to as “evil forest” see this & this. Moving to your second question, animal sacrifices aren’t even peculiar to Nigeria, in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible, Animals were sacrificed to the Abrahamic God for the atonement of sins, this principle applies here, but in this case the Animal sacrifices are made to Nigerian deities in order to appease them or ask a favor from them. Your last question, Portions are a liquid substance which comprise of a variety of natural herbs, the portions are predominantly used in order to cure ailments in a traditional manner. Sometimes some portions are taken when you want to attain spiritual powers. Id be happy to answer more of your questions. Celestina007 (talk) 14:15, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
Thanks! I mean, I do know the basic literal definitions of what these things are, but I'm simply wondering what they would mean to ordinary people in a society where such things are widely feared by everyone. Thanks for the explanations of course. Time for us to get back to constructively building the encyclopedia! HᴇʀᴘᴇᴛᴏGᴇɴᴇꜱɪꜱ (talk) 14:21, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
@Herpetogenesis, No it’s okay, you come off as a prodigy with an inquisitive mind, so I definitely do not mind explaining things to you until you are satisfied. Generally speaking, allow me correct something, You see what is referred to as “black magic”, “voodoo”, “sorcery” and whatnot is actually a pervasion/corruption because in itself it is actually a religion in the southern part of Nigeria. For example see Obeah & Ifa. Do you remember when Beyonce did this? She was acknowledging the Nigerian deity Osun. Feel free to ask me anything anytime. Celestina007 (talk) 14:34, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

Monday Sunday Adiaha

I had not known that you have special familiarity with Nigerian spam. I will notify you in the future when I encounter what appears to be Nigerian spam. I will also ask you when I encounter a Nigerian draft of which I am uncertain. Robert McClenon (talk) 16:45, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

@Robert McClenon, thanks Robert, please do so I’m very much familiar with Nigerian articles and also extremely accurate about Nigerian sources. Keep up the good work my friend. Celestina007 (talk) 18:17, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

Progress At Anti UPE

Statically speaking There has been a significant amount of reduction in UPE or spam in Nigeria & as a collaborative project as a whole, this is so because we now possess the tools required and largely because of this it appears we agree that the threshold(s) for granting sensitive perms are rather low and thankfully Kudpung is already proffering theories on how to give out this sensitive perms after due diligence has been carried out by the granting admin. I, with the help of my co anti spam editors are able to try and eradicate unethical practices exponentially before 2022 due to an exponential growth in technology that has been handed to us to optimize with care and discretion at our disposal. This is progress. We have to keep up the good job! Any anti spam editor interested in this methods we use, should please contact me via email, I wouldn’t bother opening the mail if it isn’t a functionary or sysop or an anti spam editor seeking my expertise. If we can be serious by the next quarter of 2022 2023/2024 we should have eradicated UPE completely if we anti UPE editors & sysops get very serious about this plague. Celestina007 (talk) 15:56, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

Furthermore by 2022 we are going to see an exponential reduction of sock puppetry due to the aforementioned advancement in technology, we have no more excuses. This Too is progress. Celestina007 (talk) 14:40, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
I love the word ...exponential reduction..., I think that is achievable, but as long as humans remain humans, I don't think we can "...completely eradicate..." anything. We can only do the little we can do to keep it at the barest minimum. Good job you are doing and the success thus far. HandsomeBoy (talk) 15:24, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
@HandsomeBoy, you do make a valid point. You’d note that I mention somewhere else that whilst we can’t get a utopia or a paradise we can get the next best thing. The idea is to create a system that negates unethical practices and not “people” although anyone perpetuating UPE now, would find it extremely difficult for it to make it to mainspace. Celestina007 (talk) 15:36, 13 October 2021 (UTC)

Hello Celestina007, Please Review my draft Draft:Kumbharacha Ganpati and suggest or guide me for how to move this in article space and how to improve.

Thank You. Rajmama (talk) 08:50, 13 October 2021 (UTC)

Hey there, I would love to help out but I more often than not, do not do reviews on request, occasionally i do, but I’m honestly busy right now but Hey, but you can go to the WP:TEAHOUSE where you can get pertinent help from experienced editors, im very sorry as I believe this wasn’t the reply you were looking for please bare with me. Thank you

@Timtrent, Aye mate! Good to hear from you. I’d get right to it. Celestina007 (talk) 21:19, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
@Timtrent, you are probably dealing with Kolapoimam, needless to say I have done the needful. See Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Kolapoimam. Thanks for nabbing this one. Celestina007 (talk) 21:53, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
I knew you would be familiar with this crew. There are a LOT of similarly shit articles FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 22:00, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
I've endorsed your SPI nomination FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 22:05, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
Timtrent, thanks for nabbing that. If you see more stuff that smell like fish but you know definitely that it ain’t no fish, You know I’m always here. Celestina007 (talk) 22:16, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
You might like to have a look at Special:Contributions/St theresa01 which feels related. The Spax article in particular has an odd history FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 22:20, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
Timtrent, Now this is just blatant article spamming on their part and simultaneously being very disruptive. I have included them and expanded the report. Celestina007 (talk) 23:17, 18 October 2021 (UTC)

Draft:Benjamin Sokomba Dazhi

Hello, you recently moved my article Draft:Benjamin Sokomba Dazhi pending more citations. I have added more citations and I would like you to please have a look at it again and see if it has passed notability. Regards Moshswacide (talk) 01:32, 19 October 2021 (UTC)

@Moshswacide, allow me half an hour to look through it & give you feedback, if I observe that it meets the notability threshold I would accept. Celestina007 (talk) 11:01, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
@Moshswacide, I have removed the unreliable sources used & now the article has three sources & those three do not per se demonstrate notability, However, Im going to accept the article as a criterion from WP:CREATIVE appears to be met. Moving forward I’d suggest you read WP:RS, it is indeed complex but if you meet any hurdles, please leave me a message to explain things to you better. I would also assist you in adding more sources to the article. Congratulations on your new article & thanks for creating. Do have a nice day & happy holiday. Celestina007 (talk) 11:29, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
Thank you very much for the help, I really appreciate. I will read WP:RS as you suggested and if I have any hurdle, please I will leave you a message for more explanation. I promise to learn, improve and do more. Do have a nice day and happy holiday too. Moshswacide (talk) 13:45, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
Hello @Celestina007: I just saw a tag of notability guideline has been placed on the article again by Princess of Ara. Moshswacide (talk) 17:14, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
Then you talk to them about it. Celestina007 (talk) 18:29, 19 October 2021 (UTC)

More Progress in Anti UPE

One year ago, a knack or rather, a natural predisposition for knowing when something just isn’t right and the ability to take mental notes of editors and their edit pattern led me to do this, nothing much came out of it, but one year after it was confirmed that I indeed was correct. It may take a while but surely anyone engaging in unethical practices would get what is invariably coming their way no matter what parameters or security measures or trickery they use to evade scrutiny. This is more progress against unethical editing. Celestina007 (talk) 18:51, 19 October 2021 (UTC)

More Progress

Due to the help of Timtrent, who notified me about a possible undisclosed paid editing see here another upe ring has been nabbed. In the SPI a classical deflection tactics was used by the blocked sock, see here where they quickly go on the defensive and imply Timtrent or i was uncivil towards them whereas this entry, to be precise, this comment by me invalidates their claim as I was very polite and shared a rationale for leaving the UPE template, but they nonetheless thought it wise to outrightly speak untruthfully. They have been blocked now, indeed we are making progress. Celestina007 (talk) 22:55, 22 October 2021 (UTC)

I've seen worse in this field--you might want to see if it is rescuable. -- DGG ( talk ) 02:38, 25 October 2021 (UTC)

@DGG, Sure thing! I’d take a look. Celestina007 (talk) 17:14, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
@DGG, DGG I’m sorry for the late response, Real life has been hectic. Alright, the article creator declared they were a paid editor, so I applaud them for being truthful. The problem with this article, as any other article created by a genuine editor who has done the right thing by stating their paid status is that the article would be nonetheless scrutinized thoroughly and from the inception I can see the sourcing being the problem. I checked the first 4 and I couldn’t see anything tangible. To be honest, arbitrary, when an article has an encyclopedic value I might lower the bar (pertaining to notability) but I can’t see any encyclopedic value here coupled with the poor sourcing, I’d decline the article too. Is it salvageable? I honestly don’t think so (for now). Celestina007 (talk) 16:48, 27 October 2021 (UTC)

Jacky Liew

Draft:Jacky_Liew_(Si_Gongzi), Jacky Liew. Can you please mark my page as approved? I have corrected all my mistakes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 197.253.22.107 (talk) 01:48, 27 October 2021 (UTC)

I’m sorry I can’t, I do not do reviews on request save for salient and exceptional reasons, the article appears to have been declined thrice and none of them by me, which leaves me a little surprised as to why you would come to me rather than the editors who have declined the article if you keep submitting this article it might end up being rejected please tread cautiously.
