- @Tirupatibalaji1987, hey what seems the problem? I really want to help but I honestly can’t help because the format in which you have written this is causing my eyes to hurt. I’m unable to understand you, could you mind re-doing this? You might find it helpful to visit the WP:TEAHOUSE, it’s very rare that I am unable to be of assistance all of such few cases have been where the format in which a question is asked causes my eyes to hurt which in turn causes my head to ache badly. Please bear with me. Celestina007 (talk) 17:55, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
Just FYI
Re this; that was intended to be my last post on the matter, now I'm watching a few videos of Lachy Doley having discovered his recent contributions to two of my favourite keyboards, the Hammond Organ and the Clavinet, which I've done quite a bit of work on article-wise. - Apparently, you are a potential editor for the "Naija Wikipedia" project, currently in the pipeline by the Nigerian WM community. Back to Ronaldo, surprising to know he actually suggested a new coach. I can't wait for the reverse fixture at Anfield, I am ready to put my money where my mouth is. Latest tech news from the Wikimedia technical community. Please tell other users about these changes. Not all changes will affect you. Translations are available.
Recent changes
- Mobile IP editors are now able to receive warning notices indicating they have a talk page message on the mobile website (similar to the orange banners available on desktop). These notices will be displayed on every page outside of the main namespace and every time the user attempts to edit. The notice on desktop now has a slightly different colour. [1][2]
Changes later this week
- Wikidata will be read-only for a few minutes on 11 November. This will happen around 06:00 UTC. This is for database maintenance. [3]
- There is no new MediaWiki version this week.
Future changes
- In the future, unregistered editors will be given an identity that is not their IP address. This is for legal reasons. A new user right will let editors who need to know the IPs of unregistered accounts to fight vandalism, spam, and harassment, see the IP. You can read the suggestions for how that identity could work and discuss on the talk page.

Articles on massacres in Ethiopia suggested for deletion
Hello Celestina007,
I saw that you appreciated the article that I started on Addi Gabat massacre in Ethiopia. There has however developed a whole discussion whether such articles are fit for Wikipedia. See: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/2020_May_Kado_massacre. 107 similar articles are nominated for deletion.
You may wish to add your views in this discussion. Rastakwere (talk) 14:14, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
- I’m sorry I can’t, as me !voting there after this message would be considered a form of canvassing. In any case it appears as of now consensus is on the side of the named articles. Celestina007 (talk) 15:03, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of a page
Hello Celestina,
Hope you are doing well. I noticed a crowdfunding company that did not have a Wikipedia page and tried to create one. Sadly it is discarded by you. The piece was created in a neutral tone as I am not persuaded by anyone and the piece was my own research. Please guide me where did I go wrong and how can I rectify it and do it all over again. I am relatively new on Wikipedia as a creator/editor which is why am seeking your help. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Celestina007
Regards Malvika
- I don’t have the technical ability to discard(delete) any article. What did happen was you created a promotional article that was G11 eligible and I tagged it accordingly and it was deleted by a capable system operator. Celestina007 (talk) 12:43, 11 November 2021 (UTC)

Deletion The Lonepack
Hey! I was informed that the The Lonepack page was deleted at 20:06, 11 November 2021 (UTC) and it was tagged for speedy deletion under the section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, i was unable to contest it cos its late night for me, cos i am in IST, i was curious if there was something we could do about the deletion, i recently got a chance to interact with the organisation and i loved the work they have been doing, can you help me restore the same? vasishta 08:49, 12 November 2021 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vasishta.chary (talk • contribs)
- “if there was something we could do about the deletion” @Vasishta.chary, hello I’m afraid there is nothing “we” can do about that, however there’s something “you” can do about it and I’d tell you what. The first is that, your affiliation with that organization is causing a conflict of interest which is something we strongly discourage in this collaborative project. If an editor is too close to the subject they are writing about they are admonished to not write about it. On what you can do about the deletion, you may contact the admin who deleted the article and ask that the article be restored back to your draft. If you have read WP:NCORP, WP:NPOV, WP:ADMASQ, WP:COI & WP:NOT and you feel all is alright then contact the admin as I mentioned, when they restore it read WP:LARD and remove all promotional words and statements in the article, read WP:RS then proceed to submit the article using the WP:AFC method. Feel free to ask me for clarification if anything I have “said” is confusing. Celestina007 (talk) 16:51, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
Thanks
I appreciate your weighing in. I was starting to feel like I was in Bizarro-world, where I was the only one that could see something that's as plain as day.
Also, he slipped up:
- Film Fanatic: "Thank you for your long and detailed explanation. It seems well thought out and I appreciate your time."
- Ugochukwu75: "Thank you so much for taking your time to give a detailed explanation." Fred Zepelin (talk) 20:42, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- Aha! You could include this as part of behavioral evidence. If ever in doubt feel free to leave me a message. Celestina007 (talk) 21:23, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Fred Zepelin, they have now been blocked by the ever diligent Dennis Brown. Celestina007 (talk) 18:10, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
- I saw that, but now Toddy1 is adding back all of the non-reliable-source references that those socks put in. I would've thought that's against policy... isn't it? Shouldn't paid/sock work be removed if it's all promotional hooey? I'd really like someone else to weigh in on this at the Wheels (2014 film) article. Fred Zepelin (talk) 22:44, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Fred Zepelin, if Toddy1 is adding unreliable sources to the article then that’s disruptive, I haven’t checked to see anything, I should state also that if Toddy1 is adding reliable sources the blocked sock added previously, insofar they are reliable then they aren’t wrong. I wouldn’t usually oblige weighing in on an AFD especially if I have been pinged for that purpose but this is a very peculiar case, so I’m willing to go over WP:NFILM thoroughly again and cast a !vote or comment accordingly at the AFD. Celestina007 (talk) 20:10, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
- Some are definitely unreliable sources. Others are just trivial mentions, added originally by the paid editor(s)/socks to try to give the impression that there's a lot of sourcing. Together, they add up to an impressive-looking list, if someone doesn't actually go and research each source individually. My feeling is that the blatantly unreliable ones should be removed outright. Stuff like "Worcester Herald" (defunct blog faked to look like a newspaper); the Forbes "contributor" piece; the deadline.co.ok promo, a press-release service designed to mimic Deadline Hollywood (no actual affiliation); and broadwayworld.com, another place that people can pay for a promotional "article". I asked about all of these at WP:RS and the responses I got all agreed that these were unreliable sources. Fred Zepelin (talk) 19:45, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

I do not see how the significance of this rap music label is deemed unworthy by your standards. I’ve provided various references and external links Tribal619 (talk) 20:07, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, I’m afraid the musical organization isn’t notable (for now) and they aren’t my standards but the general standard(s) as determined via consensus by the collaborative project, if nothing, all the sources used in article are not in adherence to what constitutes as a reliable source. I’m here to answer more questions from you but if you seek more eyes looking at this, you can visit the WP:TEAHOUSE for help, even better is you can make your case properly at the deletion discussion page. Celestina007 (talk) 20:21, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
Hello
It seems John is getting understandably stressed by the goings-on on his talk page, so I thought I'd post here. as you are his friend and just catching up with all of this I hope that is fine. I know you and I have not always agreed on everything, but I know we have agreed on some things. I'd like to talk to you because I think he would prefer I not talk to him on his talk page at this time. This ANI sure is a mess!
You are horrified (if I may use that term) at the socking. I am as well. It is the most problematic thing that can happen here, with the exception of creating hoax articles, I suppose. In my opinion, socking and votestacking should be always be met with a lifetime ban. It is the most troublesome of the things that have ever come up about him. Were it not for the socking, I wouldn't have seen a need to comment in ANI.
I am not calling for an all-out ban. I'd rather see if he can learn to use the site in a way that is restrained by necessity and that helps both the project and him. Compromises are in order. He is doing a good job of not saying anything much to make the situation worse than it already is. But this situation calls for some sort of real consequence. Some sacrifice. Even if it's just for a year. That's why I was thinking a sanction against his participation in any deletion would address the socking. But other people are upset about the LDS and religion stuff and want him banned from that. And the "no biography work for a year" proposal came up and I think that would also be fair. Not happy or comfortable for him, but doable, especially for just a year. He has contributed in areas other than biographies before; it is hardly all he does, and I'm sure he can find work for himself. If not, others can.
You seem to be one of his best friends here. If you can encourage him to willingly give up as much of what he can stand--to plea bargain, if you will--to satisfy the greatest number of people, that could be helpful. He has little reason to listen to me and a number of others, well-intentioned as we are. Can you talk to him and come up with the very most he would be willing to give up--and something beyond "one year category for now thing," because that isn't going to satisfy the masses--, and then consider putting it together as a proposal at ANI? It's a lot to ask of one of his friends, but you seem to be good friends.
I'm not sure all of that makes good sense. Anwyay, even if not, thanks for reading, and don't feel you have to respond.
I hope you have a speedy and full recovery. --DiamondRemley39 (talk) 23:20, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- @DiamondRemley39, I’m sorry for the late reply and also, thank you for stopping by, I saw this message a while ago but i was still recovering & to be honest and truthful to myself, I’m still recovering. I haven’t even had the chance to read the ani meticulously, but would do within the hour. For starters, although I was a little disappointed and still am, I’m not “horrified” by the socking on his part, sure I was dazed but not “horrified” People react differently to stress, perhaps the stress got to him or something else I really do not know. Don’t get me wrong, I’m no apologist for unethical editing be it socking or UPE. Furthermore although I’m yet to pick up to speed as to what has been occurring since i took a four/five day break from active Wikipedia editing due to private and medical related reasons but prior my short break, if I recall correctly it appears a senior colleague of mine; Herostratus, has been constructively and peacefully trying to see a proposal is drafted in which the result would be a win-win for both our mutual friend and colleague & for the collaborative project as a whole. Celestina007 (talk) 22:29, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
- Having seen the most recent entries honestly it’s as Bradv stated. (if I’m not mistaken) I too believe the optimization of ANI in trying to mitigate In matters such as this may create an inverse effect. I note that too many editors are proposing multiple conflicting opinions so much so that a consensus might be hard to establish/reach. Celestina007 (talk) 23:16, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
Hello
Hello Celestina, are there any issues if we delete some of the self-published and primary sources while the page is still in AFD? I found 27 out of 33 references on this page, that are articles written by the subject himself. I have seen many people doing it, but as a nominator, I just want to make sure that there are no issues with that. Regards.— TheWikiholic (talk) 18:07, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
- @TheWikiholic, Although mildly frowned upon, I cant think of a policy AFAIK that prohibits that. For me, to make things less controversial, prior initiating a deletion process I remove every dubious WP:QS, & yes, even mid AFD I have removed sources from a given article, insofar as the sources you are removing are blatant dubious looking sources you shouldn’t have any problem. Celestina007 (talk) 21:19, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
Hello
Hi, I am a Wikimedia projects editor, a recruiter and trainer for new editors and a program lead. @Ampimd: told me to reach out for assistance. Please we have an upcoming workshop for new and experienced editors which is due this Saturday, October 9, 2021, in one of the major cities in Ghana. Editing from any IP in the city is being blocked by @ST47: and @ST47ProxyBot:. I left a message on the talk page but no response. Please we will be grateful if you look into it and help us lift the block for the day October 9, 2021, and add a local exception to the global block to enable participants to join and contribute to Wikipedia. The IP we will use is 154.160.70.27 . Hope to hear from you soon. Find the event dashboard here Robertjamal12 (talk) 09:50, 4 October 2021 (UTC)
