Just a note

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
Hello Celestina007, Just a note to say Thank you! Autopatrolled granted Thanks for the push and the recommendation you left on my request surely that helped in getting me the right. Thanks a lot! I hope to do a good job. Certainly if I need any clarifications I would drop by. Thanks a lot!!! Ampimd (talk) 16:57, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
@Ampimd, Awwwnn thanks a lot this made me blush. It’s no biggie really I felt you were qualified enough for the right & putting in a good word for you was what any decent person should do. If you ever need anything I’m always here. Celestina007 (talk) 19:42, 2 February 2021 (UTC)

Re: Mohamed Younis Ahmed Al-Manfi

Thank you but "Agenzia Nova" is a reliable source, even if in italian. Can you restore the article? I will add new sources soon (one of them: [1]) --Pietro Di Fontana (talk) 17:04, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

Pietro Di Fontana, I’m sorry but I can’t make heads or tails of what you are saying but if an article you created got deleted, then contacting the admin who deleted the article is what you ought to do but unfortunately that isn’t me as I’m not an admin. Sorry for your troubles. Celestina007 (talk) 17:11, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
@Pietro Di Fontana, Are you talking about Draft:Mohamed Younis Ahmed Al-Manfi? Okay let me review it. Ah! I see, I just checked your tp & observed it was I who moved it to Draft because it was either not sourced at all or probably just had one source at that point in time. I’d work on it now. Celestina007 (talk) 19:27, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
@Pietro Di Fontana,  Done, your article has been accepted, in the articles you may want to create in future please feel free to optimize google books to search for reliable sources. Celestina007 (talk) 19:36, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

In the case of deletion or not of the following page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaun_Paul_Piccinino There is a possible conflict of interest/promotional aspect here, as the originator of the page BradDP186k is a colleague of the individual in question. Draft Falguni Nayar

Hi, what might have been the reason for putting the AfC approved Draft Draft Falguni Nayar back to Draft - you mentioned a possible COI on their talk page, I saw honestly no direct popup or hint for a COI/NPOV suspicion. CommanderWaterford (talk) 18:42, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

@CommanderWaterford, I believe I explicitly said so here. Ah! I see now that it was you who accepted the draft. In any case, like I said I moved it back to Draft for what I’d call “under the cloud covert UPE” which is best discussed off-wiki. However the notability threshold is met. Celestina007 (talk) 18:50, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

Administrators overstepping their bounds

I am really frustrated with this situation, but do not know what exactly to do. Back around the start of December I nominated Category:Imperial Russian people and its well over 100 sub-cats for renaming. People sniped at me about now initially nominating all over 100 categories. No one assisted me in tagging it, they just obstructed the change until I did. It took me over a week to nominate all the categories. After that it sat in discussion for over a month. Every single person who commented on the proposal supported it. Then an administrator came in, insisted that instead of becoming Category:Russian Empire people it should be Category:People of the Russian Empire. He created a little more discussion, most people did not even recomment and most who did had no opinion one way of the other but two said that the reccomended name was better, and I vigorously opposed it. On the grounds of this that same administrator renamed the article. To me this seems to be an editor using their position as administrator to impose their own will unilaterally without consensus. The whole thing very much frustrates me. I was going to try to bring up a higher level review, but I am not sure how to do that. On the other hand, since any open review is turned into a free for all of lobbing character assasinations against me, I am not sure I really want to do that.John Pack Lambert (talk) 13:20, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

@Johnpacklambert, it’s forlorn how you are treated here but nonetheless it takes nothing from the fact that you are a great editor & definitely one of the most special editors in Wikipedia's history. Celestina007 (talk) 00:09, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
  • Thankyou for that. My unwisest move over the last week was checking my email while I was out in public and finding the start of the most recent administrative attack on me for having too many articles I nominate for deletion be kept. I need to learn how not to internalize some of these issues. The way things worked out there are really bad. I probably over reacted. It is so frustrating.John Pack Lambert (talk) 13:02, 9 February 2021 (UTC)

Giving feedback

Hello, I thank you for giving feedback on my talk page and in this article. I suppose the feedback is about red linking to Tikka T1x from other Sako .22 LR rifles in the see also section. I thank you, and this is valuable feedback.

I would however also like to give feedback on your feedback here on your talk page as well. I feel your feedback was a bit harsh. It wouldn't hurt adding a "please" before the "don't", and I felt the "I won’t tell you again" phrase was completely unnecessary as it implies there would be a consequence. So I am wondering, what would the consequence be? A ban?

Remember we are all doing this volunatarily. I have over 10 000 edits and enjoy contributing to Wikipedia.

I seldom get harsh feedback here, and would probably not bother writing as much if I did. It is not fun to get talked to in a commanding and hostile tone, and I believe the same useful points of the feedback could have been get across in a more civil and friendly manner with even better results. Hostile feedback to other editors may even result in them engaging on instinct in defiance, as a natural human reflex, which is unproductive to everyone involved.

When giving feedback it could also be helpful to link to a relevant guideline (for example WP:NOTSEEALSO in this case) as support. You were right in this case, but regardless, linking to relevant guidelines in such discussions can give a sense of security to both the giver and receiver of feedback that we are leaning on guidelines and not personal opinions.

Hope you see how your feedback may be percepted by others. Sauer202 (talk) 09:33, 9 February 2021 (UTC)

@Sauer202, Of course I know I was right, i told you the first time in a very jovial manner not to add red links to see also sections and I proceeded to remove the red links & what did you do? You chose the WP:IDHT route and re-included them. That is blatant disruptive editing. I’m not your guardian & I’m certainly not obliged to beg you to follow simple instructions or link you to policy pages. Furthermore please when signing don’t start a new line/paragraph. Celestina007 (talk) 10:03, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
I've moved my signature above back to the last line - thank you for the feedback.
First: I honestly did not notice that edit by you before you pointed it out just now. If I did, I would never have reintroduced the link in this edit. I am sorry, but it seems that your feedback in the edit history "drowned" in a series of later edits by me in an effort to disambiguate the article. I have learned that red links should not go into the see also section.
My focus was on the article content of Sako Finnfire, Sako Quad, Sako Finnfire II and SAKO in order to bring these up to a level of good quality, both in the Norwegian and English Wikipedia, not paying attention to reading the corresponding page histories while performing a series of edits in a short time frame. Of course I understand that you could not know that, and by looking at the editing history I see how it might appear like I "refused to get the point". I hope you can trust me on this, but I understand if you may never believe me. While I would probably have got back to these articles today, look at the Finnfire history, and get the point, I still appreciate your feedback on my talk page so that the matter was solved quickly. Thank you!
However, my feedback to you was really about the process, not the underlying reasons and outcome. For the record, it is also subjective if that message (which I did not notice) was jovial. And in your last comment above, it in my opinion it would be better to state that you viewed my re-inclusion of the red link as a disruptive edit. Your reply as it stands now may be read as to imply that my editing in general is disruptive here on Wikipedia. I'm not begging you to link to policy pages, and you may not be obliged to, but I view it as good practice. I'm not asking for a guardian. But rough language is a perfect way to lose contributors. Everyone do mistakes, and linking to policy pages facilitates learning, and lowers conflict level for everyone involved. You would still have gotten your point across!
I appreciate your work, and see how this helps bring up the level of Wikipedia to a good quality. Hope you understand that this was an honest mistake. Sauer202 (talk) 10:57, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
@Sauer202, I believe you, overall and coupled with what you have just stated above it does seem plausible that you re-introducing them was a honest mistake. If you want, you can create new articles on firearms and when you are done you can ping me to review them for you. Btw, thank you for your new articles. Celestina007 (talk) 11:30, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
No worries, and thank you. :) Sauer202 (talk) 13:42, 9 February 2021 (UTC)

Keiser Corporation

Hi, in your AFD, I noticed that you indicated a "covert UPE," and I didn't want to run afoul of anything, so I wanted to check with you. I was working with someone from the company on this as a favor to a former coworker who now works at Keiser. I do not work for Keiser and was asked to work on this as an uninvolved third party who is familiar with Wikipedia. Could you please provide guidance on whether and how I should disclose this relationship? Thanks, LaMenta3 (talk) 19:54, 10 February 2021 (UTC)

Are you saying that former coworker of yours asked you to create this article? or are you saying the organization as an entity via a representative asked you to create the article? I guess the question I’m trying to ask is, who exactly hired you for this favour? Celestina007 (talk) 20:04, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Someone from the company who is not my former co-worker reached out to me at my former co-worker's recommendation because he knows I've been a Wikipedia editor on and off for a long time. In any case, I have made a disclosure on my userpage just in case my editing this content on their behalf is an issue. LaMenta3 (talk) 20:21, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
In that case you are indirectly working on-behalf of the organization. You know the drill, WP:COIDISCLOSE should apply in this case & WP:PAID should apply also if you are accepting any reward, even if not financially. Anyway by now you ought to know better than edit in areas you have a COI with, let alone create a whole non notable article on. It just oozes of bad faith undisclosed paid editing. Celestina007 (talk) 20:35, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
It honestly didn't occur to me that taking on a request/suggestion for editing from people within my professional network constituted a conflict of interest, particularly since I've never actually worked at the company, and I accepted because I thought it was interesting. I assure you that I did nothing in bad faith and just wanted to help someone out even though I only edit on a rare occasion anymore when the mood strikes me. Like I said, I've already added the disclosure to my page because I don't want trouble just because I jumped the gun on something I thought would be fun without thinking about any potential conflicts. LaMenta3 (talk) 21:01, 10 February 2021 (UTC)

Still on this Erica issue

Some persons were bent on adding her to Covenant University notable alumni section, and it was reverted severally within 24 hours. Then Dangbenzy added it again and stated that anyone that reverts him "...Ogun will kill him...", not like I believe that Ogun has powers, but I decided not to engage the page then reported to AIV. Admins refused to sanction him, instead said that he was not warned. How can someone say you will be dead if you revert his edit, and nothing is done?????? How is that not a violation of WP:THREATEN?? Not even a strong warning! HandsomeBoy (talk) 09:32, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

@HandsomeBoy, hahaha as one with Indian and Nigerian heritage Im very superstitious & believe Ogun definitely has powers lmaooo. Okay, jokes apart. I believe the AIV decision was good but I feel even better was you going straight to WP:AN/I to report the editor. Any form of death threat is dealt with a block. Every year we face this same Bullshit, Alex vs CC, Mercy vs Tacha & now Nengi vs Erica. It’s so fucking irritating. Celestina007 (talk) 16:33, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
You actually made me smile with your introductory sentence, shows that you will be a great mediator especially in heated situations. And I needed that smile, because I was a little unhappy before. I agree with you, but I do not intend to take it up, hopefully Dangbenzy gets the message. HandsomeBoy (talk) 11:35, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
Sorry for what I said. I really didn't mean that, I was just pissed at the back and forth from those changesDangbenzy (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 22:23, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
That's fine, go and sin no more! :) HandsomeBoy (talk) 15:03, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
@HandsomeBoy, you quoting John 8:11 has to be funniest thing I’ve seen on the internet today. Lmaooo Celestina007 (talk) 17:13, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
hahahaha....you are probably a better Bible scholar than I am. I knew it was inspired by a statement from the Bible, but didn't even know the exact verse! HandsomeBoy (talk) 19:46, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
@HandsomeBoy, yeah, i teach the scriptures to teens and youths on Sunday's in my house. But fuck it!! I’m currently smoking cigarettes because Manchester United just pissed me the fuck off. How the fuck do you concede a goal in 90+5 minutes???? I’m Fucking pissed right now. Celestina007 (talk) 22:16, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
hahahaha....previously, I said you made me smile, but right now, I am really laughing out loud. But seriously, I am no prophet, but you will probably be needing several cartons of cigarettes this season if nothing changes. I would have ordered you some, if I knew your home address. And yes, I actually mean it! Up Liverpool btw.HandsomeBoy (talk) 12:49, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
@HandsomeBoy, it seems like despite our lackluster performance against the The Toffees we still be una oga. So please be calming down with that “Up Liverpool” but tbh, this has been one unpredictable season & at this juncture “I cannot can anymore” I literally have lost all my abilities to can. Celestina007 (talk) 17:55, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
hahahhaha.....I agree with you, but las las, I still think Liverpool are better equipped to finish ahead of United though.even though we lost today. HandsomeBoy (talk) 19:26, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
HandsomeBoy, before we get slammed for any Higi-Haga, Man Utd just dey fuck up back to back. Safe to say we just handed the title to this Werey people jk jk, but oh well I guess it’s back to smoking cigarettes lmaooo. Celestina007 (talk) 21:28, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

Archiving your talk page?

It's totally up to you, but the page has been going on for years and due to your valiant attempts to improve the encyclopedia and foil promotional editing, many threads have been created. That makes it take more time to load on slower internet connections and can be difficult to scroll through depending on the type of device and layout. If you do want to archive your page, just paste {{subst:User:ClueBot III/JustArchiveThis}} at the top and the bot will take care of it. (t · c) buidhe 01:18, 15 February 2021 (UTC)

@buidhe, thanks mate, I probably would have to do that sooner than later, I think it was @Usernamekiran who mentioned this to me last year. but i think having to sieve through archives to look for information seems arduous(just my imagination maybe) & my current archaic method of scrolling through my tp seems a lot easier idk really, but if it is becoming a burden I’d have no other option than to start the bot archive thing. Thanks for the kind words. Celestina007 (talk) 01:34, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
As I said, it's completely up to you whether to archive or not. I do and I've never had an issue finding anything because only old stuff is archived and the archive box on my talk page (example at right) allows me to search through all archives at once. (t · c) buidhe 01:39, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
@Buidhe, sounds fair enough, I’d have to give it a try sometime then definitely sooner than later. Celestina007 (talk) 01:48, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
it is very cumbersome to navigate through your tp Celestina. Yes, I had suggested you about archiving a while back. If I am right, you had said you werent archiving it for new users or something like that. But currently, it is particularly difficult for new users, and specially for anyone who is on mobile. Courtrsy ping to buidhe. —usernamekiran (talk) 20:45, 20 February 2021 (UTC)
Also, I recommend sigmabot to you, over cluebot. —usernamekiran (talk) 20:51, 20 February 2021 (UTC)
@usernamekiran, hello dear friend, ummmm I think the reason I gave (& would still give) is/was that I found it quite easy to navigate through my talk page rather than sieving through archives to retrieve certain information. Celestina007 (talk) 22:59, 20 February 2021 (UTC)

SoftSwiss

Dear Celestina007,

Thank you for reviewing my first Wikipedia article on SoftSwiss. First, I truly believe in the important goal of Wikipedia to promote free online encyclopedia which is maintained by a community of volunteer editors. And this is exactly what I was thinking to myself when I wrote the article.

As for your decision to nominate my article for deletion because it allegedly breaches the notability guidelines, I must admit that I don't agree with you. I noted my counter-claim regarding the notability issue that you have raised in the relevant AfD page.

On a personal note, I worked very hard to create my first article on Wikipedia, while sticking to Wikipedia's writing guidelines and using legitimate sources. I took the time to review articles on similar companies and I've found mine to be better than some. I have plenty of examples: Endorphina, Ramco Systems, Rediff.com, Sasken Technologies and Onward Technologies - If the articles on these companies have been published and still exist on Wikipedia, there could be place for my article as well.

I would appreciate your honest response, and please don't delete the article until a fair discussion will be completed.

Thank you, --Bigball79 (talk) 15:13, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

@Bigball79, I cannot & nobody can unilaterally delete the aforementioned article when the AFD is still ongoing, it is until a consensus is reached at the AFD only then can a sysop delete the article if the consensus is that, so no need to worry about anyone randomly deleting your article when the AFD is still ongoing. I understand that you may have worked hard to create your first article, but unfortunately this is an archetype example of arguments to avoid in an AFD & it isn’t going to be put into consideration when deciding if or not the article is to be deleted. That simply isn’t how Wikipedia works, the amount of effort you put into creating an article is inconsequential if the article is on a non notable entity/subject. What does matter is ensuring you create an article that is notable & of which unfortunately this article of yours isn’t on a notable organization as they fail to satisfy WP:NCORP. This is why for relatively new editors submitting articles via the WP:AFC process is imperative & someday I wish be made mandatory. Furthermore, you also need to read both WP:PAID & WP:COI & adhere if they apply here. Celestina007 (talk) 22:38, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
Thanks @Celestina007 for your reply. I know that the fact that I worked hard on this article is not a valid argument, but I did feel the need to mention it. As for the WP:PAID & WP:COI, I understand your concern but I have no connection at all to this company nor to any person who is related to it; I'm contributing to Wikipedia because I believe in Wikipedia's values and found a good topic to write about. However, I do feel a bit confused about the WP:NCORP guidelines, because in my previous message to you, I listed several similar organizations that exist on Wikipedia and you did not provide any explanation on the difference between these articles and my article. On a practical level, may I suggest adding a Notability template box, thus letting other Wikipedia users to help demonstrating the notability of the topic. --Bigball79 (talk) 12:53, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

Please don't delete the article. help me publish it im begging you with good faith. and please close the deletion discussion. i was paid to write the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by IWasMadeWalker (talkcontribs) 01:07, 15 February 2021 (UTC)

Hey Celestina

Hi Celestina I don't receive pay for editing or creating articles and I was told that I could be blocked from editing if I don't disclose it please how do I say I don't receive payments?? ugochimobi (talk) 13:40, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

@Ugochimobi, come on dude, you do realize you aren’t talking to morons right? Paid editing isn’t the transgression here, but undisclosed paid editing(lying/or not telling us about it) is what is. If you have received a reward or are expecting to receive a reward for creating an article all you have to do is let us know about it. It’s that simple, really. Celestina007 (talk) 16:34, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
@Celestina007, Seriously I can't come to Wikipedia to lie, and trust me I can't take anyone on Wikipedia as morons if not for anything but being able to edit Wikipedia pages both in Source Editing and Virtual Editing... Seriously. I just found out about them online and thought of creating an article about them, I was never paid for creating or editing articles. Please pardon my manners on how I create them often and please remove the warnings, Dear. I can't just tell lies.ugochimobi (talk) 16:49, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
@Ugochimobi, I believe you believe you sound convincing enough but no editor here was born last night, it’s really bad luck for any Nigerian editor engaging in UPE to cross my path, that’s really just tough luck. I’ve lived in Nigeria for 20+ years now and can tell notable from non non notable and trying to play me is just nigh impossible. Can you categorically state you do not(on a personal level) know at least one of the subject of your articles? I mean, your edit pattern was so questionable you attracted Deb who told you not to use Wikipedia for advertising. Hypothetically speaking, if I were to believe the story of you just discovering that anyone could edit Wikipedia and deciding to give it a try, then creating live articles immediately would be the worst possible way to start (take it from me, i was bashed left, right & center) If you have any other questions, please go to the WP:TEAHOUSE. Celestina007 (talk) 17:10, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
@Celestina007, I am so happy you could find a chance to understand me, Please don't be offended I am seriously not involved in UPE trust me. Thanks for you suggestions as well... Please do I have the warnings removed now???? :)ugochimobi (talk) 17:19, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
@Ugochimobi, I deduce this pertains the WP:PAID violations warning you have been receiving(4 thus far) well, it is your own talk page and you can remove messages you don’t want there, however, it doesn’t automatically give you a clean slate as every edit is logged and wouldn’t change the fact that you have been issued a level 4 warning about violating WP:PAID, in-fact, removing the warnings pertaining to your paid status just puts your account and edits under a larger microscope, however the blanket answer is “yes” you can delete the warnings, mind you any other dubious article creation you make now would invariably earn you a block. Celestina007 (talk) 17:33, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
Shall I just block the above user for spamming - it doesn't really matter whether it's paid or not. Are you putting in a sock report? Deb (talk) 18:41, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
@Deb, hello, please do & @Cjup also, who is an obvious sock of Ugochimobi. Celestina007 (talk) 18:45, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

Chatted On my page

celestina007 Hello Bro, First I wanna apologize for the way I spoke to you on my page. Sincerely I'm sorry. Please you need to help me keep the two pages District FM and Sandra Idubor I just need guidelines to make this article okay. I feel bad when my hard work is been condemned. You have to help me, bro. ThanksInnocentuzoma (talk) 09:15, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

Re-read or not? You are in this desperate condition because like you stated, you have already accepted rewards for the creation of both articles & now they are going to be invariably deleted you feel trapped, hence my advise to you to return the gifts. I really can’t be of help because the articles aren’t on notable subjects. I literally can not help even if I wanted to, I honestly feel bad for you & i’m concerned about your safety more than anything else, I also don’t buy the story that you don’t reside in Nigeria, but that is irrelevant, tbh just return the gifts to them immediately and free your mind and most importantly, ensure your own safety. Nigerians (now more than ever) aren’t joking around with their money or gifts. Of course, to listen to me or not is entirely your prerogative. I wouldn’t address this again. Celestina007 (talk) 10:06, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

Zainab Shinkafi-Badugu

Hello, Celestina007, please after I started work on this title Draft:Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu I realized you have previously deleted the article sometime in the past. Please how do we revive and improve the article. I recently recreated it and it was removed. Wikinaija (talk) 08:04, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

@Wikinaija, sorry for the late response. I can’t delete articles so that wasn’t me, nevertheless, add more reliable sources to the article then submit it via the AFC process, just click on the submit button & that would take care of that. Celestina007 (talk) 16:02, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
  • @Wikinaija, I just observed that in the fourth line of your comment, you used the plural pronoun “We” as opposed to the singular 'I' , please do tell, how many of you use this account to edit? Perhaps you are oblivious of this rule, Except per legitimate purposes, you are to operate only one account at a time. Furthermore, If you have been employed to create this article on behalf of the subject you are mandated to declare this. Read WP:COI & WP:PAID. Celestina007 (talk) 18:47, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

Hello Celestina007, please disregard my use of pronoun. It was a mistake. It is just me, and no one hired me. My passion has been to ensure I bridge wikipedia gap on women and in Africa, by creating articles about African's should are worthy of being in Wikipedia because of their work, impact, credibility and visibility.
