Banguela/ Benguela
Hi Catlemur. Your wikilink of Banguela here does not apply. Is it a typo? Please als note that a lot of history in English sources use spellings such as "Bihe", "Viye" (Bié), "Wambu" (Huambo), "Bailundu" (Bailundo) that are not used normally used. Regards, Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 07:13, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
I fixed everything hopefully.--Catlemur (talk) 09:46, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
HI, thanks. My main concern was the "Banguela", as I had not seen this name before (except as a word in Angola and copied into Portuguese meaning "toothless". [different tribes in Angola use tooth filing/ removing etc (of the front top two) as a cultural identifier - perhaps there is a connection]. I guess some confusion arose from the names "Benguela" and "Imbangala", creating "Banguela". But I have now researched it to make sure and sorted it out. Thanks for your help. Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 18:25, 16 May 2015 (UTC)

Blue whale
Hi, Catlemur:
On 19:54, 14 May 2015, you edited the article "Blue whale" to fix 6 bare references. I have commented out one of the references because its link is dead and the wikicode that you added included an <a> HTML tag, which is causing a Checkwiki error #4.
The wikicode also seems rather complex for a citation.
Would you please take a look at it? Thanks. Knife-in-the-drawer (talk) 09:07, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
Hey.I am not really an expert on this tool so I would suggest just putting the dead link tag on the specific reference.--Catlemur (talk) 11:35, 22 May 2015 (UTC)

My thanks for your recent comment.
You appear to have declined to revert or delete some contributions, when the rules suggest you really ought to have done so.
That suggests that you believe the illusion of security provided by the presence of a reference is, in reality, often no guarantee as to its actual validity.
And perhaps that, occasionally, a reference can be a means of cementing an untruth; it being of little consequence whether that exercise was performed through malice, or, as is of course mostly the case, in all good faith;
nor, if so, whether it is the good-faith wikipedian who is culpable for having chosen a meretricious source, or whether some world-famous sources, in whom one really ought to be able to rely, are in practice often shockingly bad.
In which case, are thoughts are pretty much the same. It's just our responses that are different.
That's a much longer answer than I usually give, but you seemed pleasant and thoughtful, and therefore not a conventional wikipedian... Bye for now. Protozoon (talk) 12:55, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
Thank you.
Sentence 1: I had. Hence the careful phrasing.
Sentence 2: Two more like that and I'll definitely give you a barn-star... (a. for the vocab. b. for the concept). Protozoon (talk) 14:37, 26 July 2015 (UTC)

Vandalism on Degrassi: The Next Generation Articles
Hello there, I was wondering if there was some way you could semi-protect the Degrassi: The Next Generation home page, List of Degrassi: The Next Generation episodes, Degrassi (season 14), Degrassi: Next Class (season 1), and List of Degrassi: Next Class episodes. I have taken so much time out of my day to fix the problems with the new "era" that Degrassi is entering with Next Class and have listed some sources (and if I need to list more, I will) that show that DNC is not considered season 15 but season 1 of its own show (but a new incarnation of Next Generation). That's why, instead of making a whole different article on Next Class, I made it to where it was nicely intertwined with the DTNG page. I created a separate page for its episodes, its cast/characters, a table for its regular characters for the first season, and moved the season 15 page to season 1 of Next Class. Someone named Robodog619 has continuously been undoing my edits and I believe he even signed out so his name wouldn't show as the person doing it. I know its him since that IP address undid two of my edits a few minutes ago and then his user name showed up. He apparently has a history of vandalism (from his talk page) and he never responds when someone talks to him about it. So I am also asking he be blocked in some capacity from editing anything. He even decided to delete the table that was on the front page (the original one and the one I made for Next Class) which I know took a lot of time for whoever made it. I warned him about making unconstructive edits and he didn't listen. So please help! Thank you. Ijoshiexo (talk) 04:46, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

Battle of Dobro Pole
I reverted your revert; we could have a long argument about whose homeland Vardar Macedonia was at that time (many Bulgarians still consider it part of Bulgarian homelands even now). Instead, I hope we can agree that there can be no discussion that the area was "conquered".Preslav (talk) 19:26, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
Vardar Macedonia belonged to Serbia at the time thus it was liberated from a foreign force (Bulgaria), it later became a separate country which Bulgaria has currently recognised. Bulgarian nationalists may even claim Thessaloniki to be part of their ancestral lands but I do not really see how this form of historic revanchism is relevant to the topic.--Catlemur (talk) 19:55, 18 September 2015 (UTC)

You edit of Audie Murphy plane crash
Hi Catlemur and thanks for your your edit of Audie Murphy plane crash. I'm going to revert your edit, but before I do let me tell you why. Many years ago a passenger aircraft got into trouble during flight and declared an emergency. Because the fate of the aircraft was in doubt the control tower asked how many people were aboard. The plane was carrying, as cargo, deceased bodies and this fact lead to confusion. Since then on it's become standard to ask how many souls onboard.
I noticed that you are an atheist. I am not a religious person either, and can assure you that I'm not trying to interject any type of faith into the article. Samf4u (talk) 16:14, 10 October 2015 (UTC)
That is understandable, carry on.--Catlemur (talk) 16:24, 10 October 2015 (UTC)

- Passed this for you :) Great article. Sorry it took me so long to get through the review.. RL things happened, plus it was quite an in-depth article in terms of lots happening in a short space so I wanted to give it enough attention. --Errant (chat!) 10:47, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for the review. I requested a user from Vardar Macedonia to clarify the article in terms of geographic locations by he never responded.--Catlemur (talk) 10:51, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
DYK for Ayutthayan–Cambodian War (1591–1594)
On 18 November 2015, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Ayutthayan–Cambodian War (1591–1594), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that following the Ayutthayan–Cambodian War in 1594, some 90,000 Cambodians were taken to neighbouring Ayutthaya? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Ayutthayan–Cambodian War (1591–1594). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

Hello,
Your neutral opinion on the content dispute currently on-going at Hadith and Criticism of Hadith will be appreciated. The discussion thread is at: Talk:Hadith#Recent_cleanup_of_huge_chunks. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
