Speedy deletion declined: Eneriko

[edit]

Hello Cassigad, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Eneriko, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not nonsense - there is meaningful content. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 16:39, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Shore Capital Partners

[edit]

Hello. Welcome to Wikipedia. What's your connection with Shore Capital Partners? Can you explain your move of the draft? Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 15:40, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Curb Safe Charmer: I have reverted the improper move and sent it back to draftspace. Trailblazer101 (talk) 18:32, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Draft:Inhumans (film), without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You should not have moved this article without discussion and I have now moved it back. This draft does not meet the basic requirements for being in the mainspace (filming has not begun) and you should never move an article to an incorrect title ("movie") for any reason (I assume you did this because Inhumans (film) already exists as a redirect, that is a big no). If you want to make similar edits in the future please ensure you are following all guidelines and policies, and have discussed the change at the talk page first if you are unsure. - adamstom97 (talk) 17:56, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What was the meaning behind all of this?! I presume these are editing tests, though considering these categories are a part of Wikipedia's internal navigation system, they should not be tampered with in this manner. Please feel free to use your sandbox in the future for trying similar edits. Also, I will echo other editors' sentiments above that you should not move drafts without discussing it first, especially by using blanket edit summaries as you did. It is always best to consult others when you are unsure of something or trying something new or unfamiliar to you. Trailblazer101 (talk) 18:46, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Non-attributed translations

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from es:The Land of Skulls (Película) to The Land of Skulls. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:

NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.

Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. jlwoodwa (talk) 18:14, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Land of Skulls moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to The Land of Skulls. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. — Saqib (talk I contribs) 08:26, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:The Land of Skulls, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — Saqib (talk I contribs) 17:26, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
