Teahouse and repost from Jmm1947

[edit]

@Carlatocchini:, Well, obviously, I didn't get there in time to save you from the COI info. I hope you will not think badly of us. The important point, to me, is that we will be able to expand Dr. Scott's article.

As a lay"woman", I was really only familiar with the Botox of Hollywood, etc., and was truely interested in the treatments for difficult medical conditions. That's why I wanted to include the personal quote from Dr. Scott, from SFGate, as it illustrates what is most important to him as a physician and a human being. I must check the Teahouse more often, for good people in need of assistance. Thanks, Tribe of Tiger Let's Purrfect! 19:31, 30 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Don't forget early life info. Even if it is not published, we can use it. WP must have WP:RS to qualify for notability (WP:BIO, WP:PROF), but after that, we can add undocumented info for biographies, as long as it not "likely to be challenged". This to avoid info like "Singer XYZ murdered her baby brother". Not done here! Tribe of Tiger Let's Purrfect! 19:39, 30 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

New info at ABS!

[edit]

Carla, thanks so much for the info you posted to Dr. Scott's TP. I am looking forward to working on it! The format is just fine, and the presentation, with citations! is so professional!

However, I live in NC, and we may have some power outages due to the hurricane. I am not near the coast, but the wind and rain often effect my area (north of Durham, NC) and causes flooding, which topples trees, and leads to loss of power & internet. (I am more worried about my 86 yr old mother & family in Myrtle Beach, SC.) If there is a delay in my editing, please be patient.

I will continue to converse with you about progress, etc. on the TP, but wanted to warn you, just in case.... Thank you again, for you excellent work! Tribe of Tiger Let's Purrfect! 23:40, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hurricane update

[edit]

Thanks for your kind wishes. My family in SC is fine, they did not even lose power, which is a blessing. The storm headed straight north, so Myrtle Beach avoided the worst.

I am fine. Although the Durham system closed schools, just in case, the area here was not affected. Sadly, the NC Outer Banks were badly affected. Prior to the storm, the roads to the islands were closed and some of the "highways" to the islands are now damaged. I greatly fear for my beloved Ockracoke Island, which is accessible only by ferries (or aircraft).

As a life-long NC/SC resident, hurricanes are a part of life. Yet the concept of living in CA, with the threat of earthquakes, brings fear to my heart! I guess this is a case of "the devil you know"!

Thanks for the new ref for #15. I will format and add. Best, Tribe of Tiger Let's Purrfect! 00:19, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Moved info to ABS

[edit]

I have moved your text to the article. I rewrote the lead, incorporating previous info and yours, and added a bit of info here and there. Have a look when you have time. Please note that the ref **numbers** will not match your original ones now, as some refs were used multiple times, and are thus re-numbered.

One thing I noticed while reading for my own interest, is that a few paragraphs of your text appear to be copied from another WP article. This is not a problem, but it is considered "good practice" to note in the edit summary that text being added is copied from XYZ article. See WP:CWW for further info. Since I posted everything in one large "chunk", I will just note the article names on the talk page, which is totally acceptable. If you have time to help with the article name(s), I would appreciate it! Thanks again for taking the time and effort to expand Dr. Scott's article. It really needed someone familiar with the medical field to do it justice. Tribe of Tiger Let's Purrfect! 04:43, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Tribe of Tiger: Thank you so much for all of your help! I will also attach a photo here that we can use on the page. I will look through and see if there is anything the needs to be changed, but so far it is looking marvelous. I have to wonder if your work will be recognized by wikipedia in some way? It is truly kind of you to help us and we wish you all the best. Carlatocchini (talk) 19:12, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
