- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:

Apache Pulsar moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Apache Pulsar, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 14:00, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
A kitten for you!
[edit]Hi Cara. Thank you for starting a page on Lake Flato. I was surprised when I looked last year and they did not have a page. But I am too lazy to start a page from scratch. I hope to add to it soon.

- You're most welcome, and thank you for the kitten. Cara Wellington (talk) 10:15, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
CME Group request
[edit]Hi Cara Wellington, I saw that you made an update to the CME Group article back in December by adding information about the NEX Group and Electronic Broking Services. Thank you for taking the time to make these changes. I've put together a proposal on the Talk page that attempts to correct some ongoing issues in the article, namely the conflation between Chicago Mercantile Exchange and CME Group. I have a COI due to my relationship with CME Group, so I won't be editing the article myself. As such, I'm hoping that editors like you who have helped to improve article content in the past can take a look at what I've put together. Would appreciate any feedback you can provide! - I've reviewed it and it looks good to me. Happy to iterate on the article further if no one else takes it on. Cara Wellington (talk) 06:30, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Cara Wellington, just wanted to crosspost my message from the CME Group Talk page. Thank you so much for volunteering to review the proposed edits and please let me know if you have any questions. Lbischel (talk) 19:41, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, Cara Wellington, just checking to see if you have any thoughts on the CME Group revisions. This article in Bloomberg provides a useful accounting of the 2010 flash crash, and it's one of the sources I cited in my proposed rewording. Hope that's helpful! Please let me know if you have any questions. I really appreciate your help updating the article. Lbischel (talk) 17:40, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, on this article, you will need take out reference 7, 10,13,14,15 and 25 as they are non-rs. They are not reliable sources. Never use a press-release in any citation. There is simply no need for it. scope_creepTalk 07:07, 8 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review. This seems straightforward, I've found secondary sources to replace those and removed 1 section. The article should be free of press releases now. Cara Wellington (talk) 07:24, 8 May 2024 (UTC)
