Disambiguation link notification for September 28
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jingoism, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Socialist League (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:24, 28 September 2019 (UTC)
Sources needed for Days of the Year pages
[edit]You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the content guideline, the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide or the edit notice on any DOY page. Please do not add new additions to these pages without direct sources as the burden to provide them is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 20:25, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
- I know of this rule and I did provide direct sources.

[edit]The Jefferson Key moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, The Jefferson Key, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from War of Canudos into another page. . It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Third Age (disambiguation)
[edit]Please note that disambiguation pages like Third Age (disambiguation) are meant to help readers find a specific existing article quickly and easily. For that reason, they have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:
- Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
- Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
- Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
- Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
- Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
- Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory
- Do not add articles to acronym or initials disambiguation pages unless the person or entity is widely known by that name (in which case it should be stated in the linked article).
I removed your addition to Third Age because the term is not mentioned in Three Eras, Judeo-Christian, or historiography. If you would like to add it to one of those articles it could then be added back to the DAB page.

Draft:The Jefferson Key concern
[edit]Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:The Jefferson Key, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.
If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.
You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.
If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.
Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:29, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
providing sources
[edit]Hi, editors of articles even remotely related to the Arab-Israeli conflict are fanatical about requiring in-line citations for every statement. If you add text without them, like you did at San Remo conference and Covenant of the League of Nations just now, it is very likely that someone will remove it soon. I'm not criticising your insertions (which I have not examined carefully) but just letting you know how to give them a chance of surviving. Cheers. Zerotalk 21:56, 7 May 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Your username did make me chuckle when I saw it appear one my watchlist. Reminded me of Sir Sidney Ruff-Diamond, KCB, OBE, ACDC, BBC, ITV! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:19, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
- It is the name of an actual person who lived in the early 20th Century. My great-grandfather had some slight contact with him. (My great-grandfather was a penniless refugee from Russia living in the East End of London. The actual Captain Sir Mansfield wanted to recruit him as a British secret agent and send him back to Russia. My great-grandfather considered it but in the end rejected the offer, preferring the mundane livelihood of a minor shopkeeper.Captain Sir Mansfield George Smith-Cumming, KCMG, CB (talk) 17:33, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to The Horse and His Boy, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 16:16, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Curb Safe Charmer. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Catholic People's Party (Austria-Hungary), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 17:13, 15 June 2020 (UTC)
- I have now restored the edits which I made to the Catholic People's Party (Austria-Hungary) page but added seven sources appearing in the Hungarian Wikipedia page [1] (from where I took all this information).
