ASIO
Thanks so much for the much needed overhaul of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation article. Still needs more content, but it's a fantastic start. Keep it up! --K. AKA Konrad West TALK 08:31, 14 October 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree. I just read through it and am quite impressed. There's still more to be done, but that's a fantastic start. Thanks,--Cyberjunkie | Talk 10:12, 14 October 2005 (UTC)

Hi !
I would like to ask you whether you can confirm that you are the author of the image Image:New-Rock-boots.jpg ? (It looks a little bit like an image of a seller website, so forgive me or asking....)
Also, I would like to ask whether you would consider double-licencing the image with the Cc-by-sa licence, which roughly equivalent to the GFDL, but more convenient for images (see this article, or more simply this comics [1].
Thank you ! Rama 09:13, 22 October 2005 (UTC)

PD retagging
Hi. I noticed that your retagging of Image:DixieMusic2.jpg gave it a "life of the author plus 100 years" caption; as the date of the book this was scanned from is given as 1909, that seems dubious. I presume this was a mistake, so I reverted it. Cheers, -- Infrogmation 16:12, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
I see that you are listed as a participant in the WikiProject Melbourne. If you are a Melbourne resident I would appreciate your views on the suggested Meetup in March . Please give some indication of your interest, or otherwise, in the idea. Even a simple "No thanks" with your user name would be welcome and assist in assessing the level of support for a meetup. eliya thamby
this is in reference to the advice provided by canley on the article stated above, firstly i would want to state that this article is true and is part of a research project that i am conducting as i am piecing the pieces together. i request all of the previous items to be placed back as they are all true. i do understand that all of this required clear evidence and statements. this being a thing of the past it is rather difficult as singapore generally does not publish data that is freely available.
-firstly eliya thamby had great influence and had the ability to squash up important matters, thus my goal is to dicover what really went on thus i am doing so secondly from a source it was said that he was a medical doctor and was qualified for the task, but chose not to do so. as that was not what he wanted to do, it was said to be because it was his dad's ambition and so on, it was also partly related to status. the very fact he went on to being a gynaecologist was due to the fact that his father was around for a while ensuring his sons future.
-secondly the only thing that i was able to find out about him easily was his cars as this was what he was known for.
-great eastern assurance had been founded by another induvidual who went into monetary troubles as time went on, thus it has been said that eliyathamby took on the task of establishing the company it was said that initialy said that he was the silent investor and later went mainstream.
these are the bits and pieces that i am piecing together to try and uncover the mystery of mr. eliyathamby
thus i request for the item not be removed but i shall ensure that it is improved but over the course of time
So where the bloody hell are you?
I see you created So where the bloody hell are you? as a redirect, so I just thought I'd let you know that I've just replaced the redirect with an article, since this advertising campaign has received a fair amount of media attention. Image copyright problem with Image:Shrimp on the barbie.ogg
Thanks for uploading Image:Shrimp on the barbie.ogg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. I tried to create a disambiguation page for Fresh Records (I don't have time to research the real content). Help!! Antares33712 20:56, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
- No, there were TWO Fresh Records. One, in the US, was the rap label. The other, a smaller label in the UK, was a rock label. As they died in the '80s, currently, the info pickings are slim. Antares33712 01:54, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Addams Family Movie.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Addams Family Movie.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Shopping Mall articles
Hi, you recently voted to keeep the article Macarthur Square. Could you please suggest something that could be added to the article to make it notable compared to all the other articles for shopping malls on Wikipedia? I ask this because I cannot see what makes one shopping centre notable compared to the one in the next suburb. Not every house has an article, why should every shopping centre? Thanks, I hope to implement some of your suggestions. I am happy to conduct a reasonable amount of web-based investigation to implement some of your thoughts. --Garrie 05:56, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Poida
Hey! Why did you revert my edit? Poida is relevant to the bogan subculture. In the mid-90s he was recognised as the iconic bogan, albeit as a caricature. Comments on talk pages should not be removed unless they are grossly offensive or inflammatory. Many look up to Poida proudly as a bogan, just as people looked up to Paul Hogan as the stereotypical Australian. Rintrah 08:32, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Tagging
Hiya, I wanted to apologize for a misperception, and try to alleviate any confusion. I saw your comment on Rebecca's page, and wanted to reassure you that in no way am I specifically targetting Australian establishments, though I understand why it might look like that! What's going on is this: I routinely scan thousands of new articles per Special:Uncategorizedpages, and tag articles accordingly with {{uncat}}, {{wikify}}, {{db-spam}}, etc. Though this takes me rapidly through a lot of articles, I'd been noticing a disproportionate number of (what appeared to me to be) non-notable shopping mall articles in the batch. When I slowed down to look at them more closely, I noticed that many of them were being added by Tuddy (talk · contribs), so I left a note on his talk page about it. Then, as part of the discussion on one of those articles (I think it was an AfD, but I'm not sure), I learned about the new WP:LOCAL guideline. I started participating in the discussion there, and suggested the creation of {{local}}, to help with tagging articles like this. When the template was created, I wanted to populate its category, and, in looking for a "high-density" collection of applicable articles, Tuddy's contribution history seemed the natural place to start. However, within a couple hours of my tagging his articles, I noticed that Rebecca was following along right behind me, reverting, without any attempt at discussion. So, I stopped tagging articles, and as you've seen, we're now talking about it at the talk page at WP:LOCAL. Once things are resolved, I'll start tagging things again, and I promise, it won't be just Australian articles. :) For more information, please see the thread at: Wikipedia talk:Places of local interest#Guideline. Sorry again for any confusion, and if you have any questions, please let me know. :) --Elonka 20:00, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
iPod
Nah, can't find any newspaper quotes or websites, that's just general knowledge I was surprised to see absent from the page
- Yes but that was a 'CRITICISMS' section, and that sort of criticism belongs there, you're Aussie, you know how much iPod have taken basically all the market. I'll trawl through the BBC or CNN to find something to back me up vut it's all true and everyone knows it, evidence or none.

Hi you recently contributed to the AfD re Westfield Bondi Junction, including a citation regarding notability.
I am looking into your reference and will add it to the article.... but if you are going to the trouble of identifying references in AfD discussions could you add some content to the article using the source you have identified? Even if it is a minor sentence in an existing section, if it is referenced within the article then it will be more helpful to other contributors attemtping to improve the article.
I understand that sometimes - especially when other users seem to be making a point - it is difficult to edit rather than defend the article being there, but sometimesoften the best way to prevent an article from being deleted is to improve it with well referenced edits.Garrie 23:56, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, hadn't noticed the edit you highlighted... and having read the article in "the age" all I could pull out of it was something to put in the "list of..." page. I am often annoyed by the number of people who contribute to the AfD without ever improving the article in question or implementing their own suggestions. I can see by your talk page (ignoring the random wikistalking ??) that you seem to contribute fairly extensively. Thanks for clearing it up.Garrie 00:15, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
