Image tagging for Image:Broadway.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Broadway.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Davis Jones for Cairns Central

[edit]

Greetings, I see that you have added some info about David Jones moving into Cairns Central by 2010. Could I ask you to cite your source on the page? I simply ask this because it would be really intesting to see where the info came from :-) - Fosnez 01:59, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Port Central

[edit]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Port Central, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. ajdlinux 09:37, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, removing those tags and replacing it with a highly POV, unsourced article isn't acceptable. I have reverted the changes. (JFTR: I have lived in Port Macquarie for almost 10 years now, and I think it isn't notable.) ajdlinux 10:24, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Since you appear to object, I replaced the prod tag with a full AfD tag. ajdlinux 10:39, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rouse Hill Town Centre

[edit]

Hi,

I've seen your edits on Rouse Hill Town Centre recently.

I know you're well intentioned, but you need to remember Wikipedia:Notability, WP:NPOV and Wikipedia:Copyright. As you've been reminded before, you MUST have a fair-use rationale on all non-free images.

Unfortunately I don't have the knowledge to fix the articles and photos, but I hope you take this into consideration in later edits. ajdlinux | user page | talk | contrib 10:19, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DB tag

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Rouse Hill Town Centre, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Elonka 20:34, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Westfield Burwood

[edit]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Westfield Burwood. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Michellecrisp (talkcontribs)

False image licensing

[edit]

Please consider this your first and only warning: if you continue to upload images under false licenses, you will be blocked from editing. It is entirely unacceptable to take copyrighted works and claim them as your own under a false license. If you did not do so intentionally, and instead simply don't understand Wikipedia policy, I ask you to promptly read Wikipedia:Image use policy. I've deleted the images you've uploaded. License tagging for Image:Supabarn canberra.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Supabarn canberra.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:06, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading Image:Supabarn canberra.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

Re: Macquarie Park Station

[edit]

Apologies for the delayed reply. The photo was taken during Morris Iemma's visit to Macquarie Park station that was reported on the news (SMH i think) a few weeks ago. Other photos are available at this location: http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y286/kakamesh It was stated by the owner of the album that the photos were released on Morris Iemma's facebook. However this is yet to be verified. Pikablu0530 13:24, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

According to Macquarie University's website, "Macquarie University train station is due for completion in June 2008". As for access to the station directly from Macquarie Centre, I'm not quite sure about this but very early on back in around 2000 it was said that there will be direct access from the shopping centre, but things change rapidly and I havn't seen any construction within Macquarie Centre that looks like a connection to the station, but I might be wrong. --Pikablu0530 14:27, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Tuddy, I have noticed that you've added the section in relation to pacific blue flying - hobart to Auckland from 2009. Do you by any chance have a reference to add? have tried looking myself on google, with little luck. Cheers, Wiki ian 12:27, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the virgin info. Would be good if you read Wikipedia:No original research before adding info of this nature in the future. Kind regards, Wiki ian 17:56, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

When moving the page, use the 'move' button at the top rather than copy and paste the contents. That way the page history is kept - at present Westfield Geelong says you created the entire page. It's a first timer's mistake - I did it once before as well. ;-) Wongm (talk) 11:17, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image source problem with Image:Circular Quay stn.jpg

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Circular Quay stn.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 10:41, 4 April 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:41, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For the images, you really need to pick the correct licence for them, as listed in the upload form dropdown bit. Since they were posed on the forums, if the photos were actually taken by 'x' user, then get them to say you have permission to upload them or something. License tagging for Image:Northland interior 1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Northland interior 1.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 09:07, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Image:Myer-dubbo.jpg

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:Myer-dubbo.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement [dubbo.yourguide.com.au/news/local/news/general/selling-up/1236460.aspx]. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Myer-dubbo.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Typo redirect Westfield Braopdford

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Westfield Braopdford, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Westfield Braopdford is a redirect page resulting from an implausible typo (CSD R3).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Westfield Braopdford, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Wagga Wagga Airport. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Wagga Wagga Airport. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Bidgee (talk) 09:16, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
