User talk:Canberranone
Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Canberranone! I am Marek69 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page The Porridge Men has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \byoutube\.com (links: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=xpw42or1ozk). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 04:00, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Lyneham / Mitchell border
[edit]You clearly are no expert if you still believe that EPIC is located in Mitchell. Have a look at ACT MAPi and select Canberra by Suburbs.
Flemington Road is not the boundary of Lyneham. The northern boundary goes from (approx) the intersection of Barton Highway / Ellenborough St (service road) across to Flemington Road then down to the Federal Highway to include EPIC. The northern part of Watson does border the suburb of Kenny (according to my UBD map) - this might be what you are thinking of as Mitchell.
Please do not make any changes to Watson or Lyneham (or even Mitchell) to continue to assert that EPIC is in Mitchell and that Watson borders Mitchell, because you would be incorrect. I have still yet to update the article for Mitchell to remove the reference to EPIC being in the suburb - perhaps I will do so now.
Also make sure you sign any entries you make on discussion pages using 4 tildes. Please feel free to ask me any questions regarding Canberra suburbs and geography.

Speedy deletion nomination of Michael Kaczmarski
[edit]A tag has been placed on Michael Kaczmarski requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Option to do a Did You Know
[edit]New articles qualify for creating a "Did you know..." that runs on the Wikipedia main page for one day. The window for submission is seven days from when the article was accepted. Typically, results in thousands of viewers on that day. The DYK process is confusing - first one has to create the submission, and in a separate process, submit it. Including a picture is optional. Disambiguation link notification for February 16
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Klootschieten, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Applewood. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:37, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
