Legends of the Mafia

[edit]

Currently this exciting game is in is development stage so all aspects of the game are under construction and we are going under some serious renovations of areas and undergoing constant improvement. We aim to move into the beta stage within the next few upcoming months. This means that only officially appointed beta testers will aim to seek out all the bugs (as there are bound to be a few we didn’t notice in the development stage) and also try and improve our game play to make this hopefully one of the best text-based crime games out there on the internet.

Legends of the mafia is a text based global crime syndicate game with many features and paths to follow. The aim of Legends of the mafia is to work your way up in the game, kill other players, rank to the highest rank to reach legend status, manage your own syndicate and own properties to generate income. You start of as a low rank and not in any syndicate. You can increase your place in the world by committing crimes like stealing cars, organised crime, pick pocketing other players, robbing banks and many other actions you can commit. You can also seek the security, benefits, and protection of a being part of a syndicate. Some of these benefits are that you can complete major crimes and special organised crimes within your syndicate organised by the syndicate boss. For faster ranking you can commit organized crimes in a group. When registered, members can talk to each other through private messaging, chat & forums. So will you be a bounty hunter who kills from the hit list for money? Or will you be one of the few powerful syndicate owners with endless money & bullets?

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Legends of the Mafia has been reverted.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \bblog(?:cu|fa|harbor|mybrain|post|savy|spot|townhall)?\.com\b (links: http://legendsofthemafia.blogspot.com/). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Welcome

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means, and on Notability (web) for more detail. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted.

Notability of Legends of the Mafia

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Legends of the Mafia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JohnCD (talk) 11:10, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Legends of the Mafia

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Legends of the Mafia, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

there is no indication that this unreleased game is notable.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. "Why is the game not ntable?"

[edit]

In order to be notable it needs to have "received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." As your game is still under development, it is unlikely that there has been any reliable independent comment on it, and a Google search shows only 9 hits, including this article, blogs, youtube, and the like.

Wikipedia guidelines you need to read include Wikipedia is not for things made up one day - that's mainly written for people who come up with a spoof religion or a new drinking game, but much of the advice in it applies just as well to someone like you, who has a new, serious thing they are developing and would like to use Wikipedia to publicise it. See also Wikipedia is not a crystal ball - maybe your game will be famous one day, that's when it gets to have an article - and Conflict of Interest - people are discouraged from writing about themselves and their own businesses and games - if it's really notable somebody else will want to write about it..
