Interested?
[edit]Hi! I read the article you created about Teo Gheorghiu and I was wondering if you would be interested in joining a WikiProject or taskforce, basically a group of Wikipedia editors who improve articles about a subject. In this case about children. I need a minimum group of interested editors before I can set it up so every little bit of effort helps. - Mgm|(talk) 15:23, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- P.S. IMDB accepts submissions from its users but it's not a good source, because they don't say where the information comes from and they've published mistakes on several occasions. In the future, it would be better to cite other sources like newspapers or news websites. (see User:Uncle G/On sources and content for more information) - Mgm|(talk) 15:23, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- Hi MacGyverMagic! Unfortunately I don't have enough (free) time for that. Calimo (talk) 16:13, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- You don't need much free time. Dropping in once every couple of months is enough. - Mgm|(talk) 16:42, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- PS: for the refs most of those I have are in French, but I've already found some in English. I think they'll cover everything here. I'll add them soon.!
- If you don't have enough English sources to cover all of it, the French ones are acceptable too (just make sure you clearly label them as French). English sources are preferred, but others are not forbidden. - Mgm|(talk) 16:42, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
Teo
[edit]There are some things unclear in the article. Did he shoot a Swiss and an American version of the same movie. Or did he shoot in two different locations for one film? Also, "He won the first prize in the San Marino Piano Competition in 2004 and in 2005 he got the same prize in the Franz Liszt Piano Competition in Weimar." When you say "the same prize" am I right to assume you mean first prize? Side note: It's convention to put those references after punctuation like periods/full stops. - Mgm|(talk) 21:36, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- I think Swiss and American are the same. At least the contrary isn't stated anywhere. However I'm not sure it is relevant here so let's just say it was released in 2006, which is right. Further precisions are available on the film's page for interested readers. For the prizes, you're right it's not clear. I tried to rephrase it a little bit. For the French refs I still need to see if it is really relevant and if it adds valuable information. I know I can add them, but I'd prefer not to if if it isn't really required. Thanks for the reviews! Calimo (talk) 08:10, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
Help me
[edit]In the chart below, let's say that I want to increase the font size and make only the words "Richard Rodgers" bigger. What exact code would I type in -- and where -- if I want to use CSS and not HTML? Thanks. (Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 09:39, 24 June 2009 (UTC))
Richard Rodgers 1. Academy Award 7th 1945 Best Song "It Might As Well Be Spring" from State Fair 2. Emmy Award 12th 1962 Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composed Winston Churchill-The Valiant Years 3. Grammy Award 23rd 1960 Best Show Album (Original Cast) The Sound of Music 4. Tony Award 39th 1950 Best Musical South Pacific
- Hello Joseph,
- Try
font-size:2em;
. That would give you:

- Thank you for your help. I knew that the correct command was
font-size:2em;
, as you say. But I was not able to figure out where exactly to place that command within the code for my Chart. I tried typing it in, all over the place (except, of course, in the actual correct place) ... and nothing worked. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated. (Joseph A. Help with Peer Review
[edit]Hi Calimo, thanks for your suggestion with my article here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Cistine/Walter_Rhodes. I hope this is the right channel for me to ask your advice. Could you please guide me on how I can request for a peer review? I've found out that I should add subst:PR (brackets substituted) to my article's talk page for this. But since my article is in my User Page for now, it seems the template doesn't work there. Could you advice me on how I can get my article reviewed by peers from my user page? I was assuming that placing it there would minimize its risk of being deleted if it is not yet suitable for publishing. Thanks.

Help with undoing "Redirect"
[edit]Hi Calimo, Thanks for offer of help. The page Dialogue with Death (title of a book) redirects to Spanish Testament which is a book that originally incorporated Dialogue with Death. Subsequently Dialogue with Death had been decoupled from Spanish Testament and, with minor modifications, is now a stand-alone title. I wish to create a new page for Dialoge with Death. 3ig-350125 (talk) 08:54, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- Got it! Many thanks. 3ig-350125 (talk) 09:09, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks

[edit]Thanks for your help with my question regarding how to obtain copyright permission for images correctly, I think I've done it properly this time. TheoloJ (talk) 19:22, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
... and thanks for adding my Winter references to the Summer article. I should have thought to do that myself! Dbfirs 08:00, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
File:Massachusetts Relief 1.jpg needs authorship information
[edit]The media file you uploaded as File:Massachusetts Relief 1.jpg appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.
It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.
Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided), authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).
- If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which:
{{subst:usernameexpand|Calimo}}
will produce an appropriate expansion,
or use the {{own}} template.
- If this is an old image, for which the authorship is unknown or impossible to determine, please indicate this on the file description page.
Colour of weatherboxes
[edit]Currently the discussion on the colour of the weatherboxes has been moved to the Request for Comment section (as recommended by other users) but however, there is not enough outside opinion. Given that you talked about the colour schemes in the previous discussion about the colours in the weatherbox (ended in a stalemate), perhaps you can put any thoughts in the discussion? Any opinion would be welcome? Ssbbplayer (talk) 17:08, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
