Hi Smashville - thanks for the info. I've added catagories to the Stone Cottage page, and I'm about to start on a Christopher Lloyd page. CallieCalickamo (talk) 21:09, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That makes me think of Christopher Lloyd (actor), but I guess you are interested in Christopher Lloyd (gardener). PrimeHunter (talk) 21:40, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jens (PrimeHunter), yes, the gardener not the actor. I also noticed a page on French Architecture that is in real need of help, might spend some hours on that as well. CallieCalickamo (talk) 02:18, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia!

I saw [1]. Another time you can make a new talk page section by clicking '+' at the top. And you can sign your talk posts by writing ~~~~ at the end of them (or clicking a link that does it). Then the software replaces it with username and time when you save. Regarding my comment at Wikipedia:Help desk#how do I add a photo?: I meant it takes 4 days before a new account can change an article title by moving the article, but that is irrelevant now when I moved it. There is no waiting time before you can insert images. Just follow the instructions at Help:Images and other uploaded files#Linking. You could for example add this to Stone Cottage:

[[Image:05 Moran Exterior.jpg|200px|thumb|The Stone Cottage]]

Insert non-formatted text here== WOW ==

PrimeHunter - how do you know all of this?? You know the ole saying, "you can't teach an old dog new tricks." ?? well, I'm an old dog and the internet is new to me. I know there are things call hyper text mark up language, but no idea how to use it, and I find Wiki very difficult to navigate. I really do appreciate your help. You're a peach! ThanksCalickamo (talk) 03:50, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have been a lot at Wikipedia. It takes time to learn all the tricks (I probably never will), but it's quite possible to edit without knowing them all. And you don't need to know HTML. Wikipedia has its own markup language which I find easier to use. PrimeHunter (talk) 03:55, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did it, I did it, I did it . . . . I linked to the photo of the Stone Cottage and got in on to the article page . . . I'm so excited. Have a great Christmas Holiday. Calickamo (talk) 03:57, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good! I moved it to the top in [2]. If you want the article to link to other articles and vice versa then see Help:Link. And see Help:Category for how to put the article in categories. PrimeHunter (talk) 04:03, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not even going to ask how you moved the image to the top - you're amazing! I'm working on an article about Rosemary Verey. Should I list her book in alphabetical order or by their publish date?Calickamo (talk) 04:31, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No big trick. I just moved the text [[Image:05 Moran Exterior.jpg|200px|thumb|The Stone Cottage]] from the bottom of the page to the top. Chronological order is best for books. PrimeHunter (talk) 04:41, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PrimeHunter - I wanted to work on expanding Rosemary Verey's page . . and have added most of the books in chronological order. How can I expand on the box above BOOKS (no edit button) to include several sentences about what made her life notable? And do my book entries look correct? ThanksCalickamo (talk) 13:49, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Click "edit this page" at top to edit the whole page. It's usual to only list title and year of books in the main text of an article. See for example Peter Dickinson. The Wikipedia software has a special system for ISBN numbers. See for example Roger Jon Ellory. PrimeHunter (talk) 16:43, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello PrimeHunter. I've uploaded an image and have it on the Rosemary Verey page - but I want the image right-justified and with the text wrapping around on the left, like all the other Wiki pages. How can I do this? Calickamo (talk) 20:19, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't use the gallery tags. See Help:Images and other uploaded files#Linking. PrimeHunter (talk) 20:24, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:LaburnumWalk.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:LaburnumWalk.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:08, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kelly L. Moran

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Kelly L. Moran, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Kelly L. Moran. Nucleusboy (talk) 17:13, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nucleusboy - why has the article been suggested for deletion? CallieCalickamo (talk) 01:44, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The above message was not formulated by Nucleusboy who just placed it with the standard {{PRODWarning}} to warn you about the proposed deletion. Nucleusboy stated the reason in [3]: "May not satisfy WP:BIO notability rules". The full title of WP:BIO is Wikipedia:Notability (people). A large number of biographical articles are deleted because they are considered to not satisfy that guideline. As the message says, you are allowed to remove {{dated prod}} from the article, but if you don't improve the article with references to show more compliance with Wikipedia:Notability (people) then the reaction could easily be another type of suggested deletion which must stay until somebody evaluates whether to really delete the article. If you try to work on the article then also note Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. PrimeHunter (talk) 02:22, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Calickamo -- I've also responded on the talk page. You mention articles in the Washington Post & Washington Times; do please go ahead and include those references, and any others you can locate. In addition to WP:BIO, the general notability criteria can help you understand the concept; and WP:BIO will help you apply it to the article about Kelly Moran. --Lquilter (talk) 20:04, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

LQuilter - I've added several citations and several media coverage mentions to the Kelly L. Moran article . . . she was also in the news alot during 9/11 as she hosted a huge afternoon tea for the Pentagon families - several awards from the pentagon as she was the only civilian to have Pentagon support for a 9/11 event - it was all over the evening news. Let me know if there is anything else I should add and thanks for your help, I appreciate it. Cheers CallieCalickamo (talk) 01:59, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Zagaron.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 21:26, 22 January 2011 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 21:26, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Zagaron has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Hoax topic

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 99.113.204.35 (talk) 21:22, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
