IP deleting for articles

[edit]

Hi more time! I noticed that IP address: 186.108.186.148 deleted the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Columbia content, whether it's good? Because I wanted to treat it as a minor vandalism that took nothing from nowhere and column deleted. Thanks.--Lukaslt13 --Talk 09:09, 23 January 2016 (UTC)Lukaslt13[reply]

Hello Lukaslt13, I'm not sure if 186.108.186.148's edit is correct, since I am not familiar with the article's subject. A Google search for "nnamdi azikiwe international airport airlines" doesn't seem to mention anything about the airline Avianca, so the edit might be correct. Again, I'm not sure, so it might be best to ask someone else about it. CabbagePotato (talk) 21:01, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you should know, and I do not know what to do in such a case, but when I'm still looking at the IP address changes, it seems to be something I see, then I put the "Warning" notice, but I think we should unite, and follow such IP, right?--Lukaslt13 --Talk 13:04, 24 January 2016 (UTC)Lukaslt13[reply]
@Lukaslt13: In my opinion, there isn't really a need to monitor the IP's edits (for vandalism) since they haven't made any other edits recently, and the only edit they made likely wasn't vandalism (I'm assuming that their edit was made in good faith). A barnstar for you!

The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar
For helping me out with a problematic editor whilst I was in bed. Thanks. :-) Ches (talk) 10:13, 21 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Chesnaught555: No problem, and thanks for the barnstar! CabbagePotato (talk) 18:27, 21 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

The Special Barnstar
I herewith honor CabbagePotato with a special, bright, and awesome rainbow barnstar from Europe for helping a new user from Romania getting his article finally done ...
Viele Grüße aus Hamburg, Germany
GeoTrinity (talk) 10:29, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@GeoTrinity: I think you should have thanked Mojo Hand instead, since he was the one who deleted Marius Nasta and moved Dr. Marius Nasta there afterwards (and I haven't done anything related to the article since my last message on Nastadera's talk page). But thanks for the barnstar anyways! CabbagePotato (talk) 17:07, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I only did the technical part - it was a team effort!--Mojo Hand (talk) 17:24, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Come on, you did a great job anyway, being polite and offering your help. This is how Wikipedia should be! I considered this Marius Nasta article to be more and more annoying but we all started inexperienced here, didn't we? This Nasta fan tried his very best, at least, and keep in mind that English is not his mother tongue. ~ Did you know that barnstars are widely used especially by German-American farmers of the northeast? Last August, I made an awesome 6,000 miles road trip through the US (from tiny Delaware to lovely Seattle) and had no idea why all those stables and farm houses have those stars on them. I learned the reason today, adding an audio file to Pennsylvania German language. Wikipedia is so awesome! Best --GeoTrinity (talk) 17:27, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Well, thanks for all your help Mojo Hand and GeoTrinity! CabbagePotato (talk) 17:37, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your Semiosis edit

[edit]

Your good edit at Semiosis I think goes part of the way. This is a fairly off the beaten path discussion, is it a AfD candidate from your read through. Cheers. Fountains-of-Paris (talk) 16:29, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Fountains-of-Paris, I'm probably not the best person to answer this question since I don't have much experience with deletion processes or the Semiosis article, but it doesn't look like an AfD candidate to me. It seems like it could be merged into the more general Semiotics, but I'm not sure if semiosis is supposed to be something distinct from that. CabbagePotato (talk) 02:08, 24 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
When I looked at the daily page counts for both articles, I was surprised to see that Semiotics has ten times as many readers. Do you think that the other article is sufficiently notable to affect the main Semiotics article. It seems that it needs to be improved somewhat before its importance is deemed useful or not, and then possibly AfD re-evaluated. Fountains-of-Paris (talk) 14:54, 25 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Fountains-of-Paris: I think that the Semiosis article may be notable enough to stand on its own, but it would probably be best if it had more sources to show notability. Again, I'm not really much of an expert on notability, so you might want to get someone else's opinions on that. CabbagePotato (talk) 06:11, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
