Wikipedia is not a web host for holding personal web pages unrelated to work on building the encyclopaedia. You are, of course, very welcome to start making contributions to the encyclopaedia, in line with Wikipedia policies and guidelines, if you are interested in doing so, but if you wish to have a personal web page, then there are many web sites which provide that sort of service, but Wikipedia is not one of them. Thank you for your message but I think you should wait a bit until I am finished what I am trying to write since what I wrote was only a test to see how things work. When it is complete you may judge and suggest to delete it or not.
Thank you,

I am writing for someone that inspires people and making a huge effort to protect old people from abuse and ageism. His efforts in Cyprus are one of a kind and he is a very well know for his passionate advocacy for the human reights of older people. How can not this be a subject that should not be included in Wikipedia? This is not an advertisment but rather a call for more people to care about older people. Do you believe that all these things that he is doing is not worth mentioning? I am just wondering. If I am wrong then I understand and delete completely everything. Thank you. Firstly, you are clearly writing about the president of your organisation (to which your user name refers), and are writing what you want to say, and/or what the subject himself wants you to say, to tell the world about him. That is the very definition of promotion, see WP:YESPROMO. We have no interest in any of that. We almost exclusively want to know what third parties, and more specifically independent and reliable secondary sources, have said about this person. Your job is then to merely summarise what they have previously published.
Secondly, on a related but separate point, Wikipedia is not a platform for advocacy or righting great wrongs, no matter the topic. We are an encyclopaedia, and publish factual articles, with a neutral and impassive point of view, on subjects which are deemed of encyclopaedic value and notable. This draft offers no evidence of notability, as we define it.

I understand.... you are absolutely right, maybe you are more keen in having more material for terrorists, drug abusers, etc etc... don't bother replying CTAOCY (talk) 07:15, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.
