Yeah I know there has got to be a reason but
this edit... Why? There is a huge difference between, say, 2.5% and 3% when we are talking about hundreds if not thousands of cases... And, why "no decimals please"? is this a policy or guideline? Even so, I just don't get it...like I said before, there is a huge statistical difference between whole number percentages and fractions thereof. - @Shearonink: Once upon a time, the {{Medical cases chart}} template was universal in not using decimal points. Many state examples didn’t use them. But the template itself is still only a month old and is constantly being updated and tweaked, so there are no “guidelines”. I’ve been simply following this edit, which gave no summary for the change. Quite frankly, I don’t think the percentages are necessary, at all, as it’s easy to see from one day to the next how the cases/deaths flow, especially with a chart further down the page detailing “new cases” daily. TN COVID-19 bar chart
Great fixes but was wondering...what is the default-display when people bring up the article? Does it display the entire progress or just a portion... Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 20:36, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
- Hiya! Its default is the Last 15 days. The “Mar Apr Last 15 days” under the legend are buttons, even though they’re not designated well as such. If you click (turn on) one, you have to turn off the others in order to see what you want. So, to see both March and April together, click both. The editing (adding new days) is the same. I've been finagling around with the Virginia charts
I think it makes sense to break out the Health Districts from the City/County stats. Including the Health Districts is making the County/City Table too long. I've been working on a new Health District Table in my sandbox. What I want to do is to place the Health District Table below the bar chart one, arranged on the page somewhat like this:
- County/City.......Bar Chart
- County/City.......Bar Chart
- County/City.......Bar Chart
- County/City.......Bar Chart
- County/City
- County/City.......Health District
- County/City.......Health District
- County/City
- County/City

- I think what you have here is fine. If the HDs matched the city/county names, then you could just extend the county table outward to include them, but they don't. Or are you asking for bar charts for everything? Sometimes tables are best, especially for numbers below 10. Also, if a table ever gets too long, we can always collapse it, as we did here. As for placing anything beside the main bar chart, it's impossible unless itself is tiny. Most pages that try to have text beside the charts, the words get squeezed out as the chart gets bigger. - @Shearonink: I tweaked your Virginia tables at the main page, just cosmetic ones. If you update your sandbox versions daily before you change the main ones, you should copy my changes to those before overwriting new changes. Otherwise, all my changes are lost. And the ducks will be loose! Thanks and great work! (P.S. I tried to have the two tables side-by-side but it looked odd with one long and one short like that. But it’s doable.) Guam COVID-19 medical chart
You created the needed Guam template. I was going to do that, thank you for taking the lead. My concern was how to include the noteworthy arrival of the USS Teddy Roosevelt with its crew infected. I do not believe the statistics are in the Guam Department of Health statistics but they are all on the same island. The Navy is not apparently presenting clear data, USA Today has tracked it here as best they can. Because of the Roosevelt and the subsequent firing of the captain and his potential reinstatement, this is a front line story to track. How do we present this, particularly with the scattered information? The spike and separate statistics might deserve another color line (part of the options of the master template). Basketball infoboxes for college coaches with significant playing careers
Hi - just a note that for college coaches who have had significant professional playing careers - like Nicole Powell - please keep Template:Infobox basketball biography instead of converting to Template:Infobox college coach. The college coach infobox isn’t sufficient to capture the playing background for these folks - cutting off measurements, draft status, high school, etc. The basketball biography infobox was adapted several years ago to accommodate coaching tenures to avoid converting infoboxes for subjects And losing relevant info. Request for advice about my draft
Good day, I'm a newbie who prepared a draft about Test Pilot Edwin Schoch. It's my first contribution to Wikipedia.
I've seen that your short yet exhaustive article about J.F. Coleman was published, while my draft wasn't deemed publishable. Despite the energy that I put into making it as reliable and complete as possible, to my great dismay, I received the suggestion to merge it in another Wikipedia page, about the most famous plane that Ed Schoch flew.
I've seen that your compact page about J.F. Coleman wasn't merged in the article about XFY-1.
I would like to get a "second opinion" or better to submit my draft to another reviewer, hoping that he may overturn the judgement by the first reviewer.
Have you any advice to share with me?

- @CesareBrizio: Hello. I replied at Schoch's draft page concerning its holdup. DGG's entire userpage is his view on Wikipedia quality. If you look at the Coleman article history, you'll see that I subverted the AfC process. I don't think I've ever used it to get one published. I have, in the past, asked at the Helpdesk for formatting ideas, but I've never done an AfC submission. There are too many by-the-book editors out there who are quick to decline, in order to protect the site. My suggestion for your future articles would be to not ever use the AfC process (by not tagging your drafts) or simply develop content in a sandbox (which no one can touch). Just don't let the AfC process scare you off, because there are far less-notable unnoticed bios at Wikipedia. As for Schoch, I suggest putting the ISBN numbers in the citations to help track those down. Wyliepedia @ 23:05, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
