Undone edits

It's pathetic that I was not allowed to edit a page. I was told to edit it and when I did it was taken down. All I did was add some basic facts that I had previously known to be true. Apparently, Wikipedia is too stupid to realize that they have no freaking idea what they are doing. I am seriously disappointed.

Overview #2 of updates on Wikimedia movement strategy process

Note: Apologies for cross-posting and sending in English. This message is available for translation on Meta-Wiki.

As we mentioned last month, the Wikimedia movement is beginning a movement-wide strategy discussion, a process which will run throughout 2017. This movement strategy discussion will focus on the future of our movement: where we want to go together, and what we want to achieve.

Regular updates are being sent to the Wikimedia-l mailing list, and posted on Meta-Wiki. Each month, we are sending overviews of these updates to this page as well. Sign up to receive future announcements and monthly highlights of strategy updates on your user talk page.

Here is a overview of the updates that have been sent since our message last month:

More information about the movement strategy is available on the Meta-Wiki 2017 Wikimedia movement strategy portal.

Hello CAPTAIN RAJU. I see that you closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Karin Hansson after you !voted. This is considered an involved close and is not correct. In addition, it has messed up the formatting. Could you please undo you close and relist the AFD? Thank you. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 20:04, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

I have restored the close. In addition to closing after !voting, and messing up the formatting, CAPTAIN RAJU improperly marked the edit making the close as a minor edit. —David Eppstein (talk) 21:17, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

Categories on my user page

Hi Captain Raju, I'm confused about the edits you made to three of the categories on my user page, is there a reason you added the colons and pulled them out of the "Categories" section? I also notice you did the same thing on another article I submitted. Is there a reason to not use the Categories section as they are auto created? Thanks Jghampton (talk) 23:43, 11 March 2017 (UTC)

Thierry Geoffroy

Dear Captain Raju,

I noticed that you have reverted the corrections I just made on the Thierry Geoffroy page. I am new to wikipedia and trying to develop the page on request of the artist. As some of the information on the page is correct, I do not believe that using the sandbox tool is the right solution for me? I want to edit a few things and add more references and a new section to the page.

Best, Johanne

Active sanctions

As I pointed out to you here you were placed under active sanctions which are noted here. You were advised of that in this section on your talk, but have apparently decided to ignore that. As with previous messages, you ignored my advice in December. Today, yet again you've erroneously tagged Matt Mahoney (soccer) as A1 adn in clear breach of your sanction which forbids you from tagging any page as A1. Do you plan to abide by the restrictions placed on you? Valenciano (talk) 17:56, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi,Valenciano.Thank you for sending me a message.I have remember about csd tag notice/WP:RESTRICT.I have not ignored your advice.I've rememberd your advice.Matt Mahoney (soccer) article, I've added 10 minutes later csd ‍A1 tag.According to the notice. See here.Thanks.CAPTAIN RAJU (✉) 22:59, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
Captain, I really think you haven't understood these sanctions. They say very clearly that until 8 June you are "Banned from tagging any pages with CSD A1 or CSD A3." So why are you adding A1 tags?
They also say that you are banned from "performing patrol duties on any article created within the last 7 days", yet you are adding A7 tags on articles just 10 minutes after creation. If you're in London as your user page says, then you should only be adding tags to articles created on 6 March or earlier and you shouldn't be adding A1 or A3 tags to any article. Relisting AfDs

When you relist an AfD, please remember to follow all the steps listed in WP:RELIST. In addition to slapping on the substituted relist template, you have to remove (or comment out) the AfD from the old log and transclude it on the new day's log. I have fixed several ones, though I'm not sure if I got all of them. Also, AfDs should not be relisted more than twice unless absolutely necessary; in this case, I have left open most of the ones that you relisted more than twice. --Kurykh (talk) 06:18, 16 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Gemini (2017 film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Aaron Katz. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Maxine Asher by Hidekisan

Maxine Asher is dead and her AWU apparently died with her. So AWU is a "was" and not an "is." I happen to know, as a former Japan-based academic, that Asher tried to establish her unaccredited university in Japan by twinning with a Japanese institution. She was not successful. At one point she asked some of the British and American academics to write her references. Some, being kind -- and under the impression that AWU was accredited -- did. It is doubtful that any of these people accepted doctorates from Asher because they already had doctorates from PROPER UNIVERSITIES. I just thought you should know some of this. Yours, Hidekisan. Ps. I am not very experienced working within Wikipedia. Hidekisan (talk) 00:55, 18 March 2017 (UTC)

I have removed the {{prod blp}} tag from Preet Hundal, which you proposed for deletion, as the article now includes one or more sources. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think the article should be deleted, please feel free to nominate it for deletion with a regular {{prod}} or via Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! Thank you for your comment regarding mentioned article. Name of this person is wrongly indicated on Wikipedia. Please check government source: http://rada.gov.ua/en/news/News/News/96920.html "Valeria Hontareva" is being used. That is the background of my edit. Also please check Romanization of Ukrainian and native name to understand my edit. Please revert back to my edit and nominate article for move to 'Valeria Hontareva'. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RGT6EXFX (talkcontribs) 20:35, 23 March 2017 (UTC)

Arkansas Reputation

I deleted the section again with a better description of why.

I noted the episode of the show where they state they are from Tennessee.

I noted that the citation for the portion I deleted was vague.

And I think the overall mention of the Beverly Hillbillies as an archtype for Arkansas perception was lazy and not well thought out.

Thanks,

John F. Kennedy Jr.

I did leave an explanation, in the talk section. Twice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Princetoniac (talkcontribs) 20:34, 25 March 2017 (UTC)

The two sections on John F. Kennedy Jr are the least relevant to the article. They add nothing but trivia, and it does not harm the article to simply remove the sections. Princetoniac (talk) 20:45, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
