It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Duke Health Raleigh Hospital. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - CobaltBlueTony 16:18, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Please do not remove content from Wikipedia, as you did to Duke Health Raleigh Hospital. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. - CobaltBlueTony 16:18, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia! We could really use your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as Nixonic) are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. If you want to test things out, edit the sandbox instead. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Mhking 16:53, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- Please see WP:NFT for an explanation of why Wikipedia is not the appropriate place to try to get a word you've invented into common usage. Geoffrey Spear 17:18, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- Totally understood. Thanks for the explanation. Please consider using "Nixonic" anyway. I think it can be a good word... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Butterwise (talk • contribs) 15:07, November 29, 2006
- I think you're missing the point. Wikipedia is not a tool to promote words, or ideas, or businesses, or people. It's an encyclopedia. You wouldn't find it in Britannica, and without notability/verifiability, it'll never make it here. - CobaltBlueTony 20:55, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, my point above was "please personally consider using Nixonic." Butterwise 13:32, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! - CobaltBlueTony 20:55, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Userpage problems
[edit]Regarding User:Butterwise, it seems pretty far from WP:USER appropriate usage. More seriously for you, once you post something on Wikipedia, you are declaring that it is not restrictively copyrighted by someone else and that you are releasing it under liberal reuse terms. Copying from an existing website probably fails the first of those two. Posting here as a development for some future website probably affects that new site due to the second of those two. Please only use our resources for work directly related to building our encyclopedia. Let me know if you have any questions about this. DMacks (talk) 21:01, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of User:Butterwise
[edit]A tag has been placed on User:Butterwise requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
