- I saw your reply; please remember to make the paid editing disclosure. 331dot (talk) 17:29, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

Paid editing
[edit] As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Butopian, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Butopian|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Theroadislong (talk) 17:45, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
- I have no financial stake in promoting a topic. I have done not editing/editing has ceased. I am not being directly or indirectly compensated for edits. Butopian (talk) 18:24, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
- You don't have to be specifically paid for edits to be a paid editor. If Gilmore is your boss, that triggers the disclosure requirement. 331dot (talk) 23:04, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, I understand. I am not editing the page in question. Please remember to Assume Good Faith. Thank you. Butopian (talk) 23:11, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
- I haven't said you aren't acting in good faith. I've only said that if you are making contributions related to your boss(whether it's editing an article or making suggestions on talk pages) you must make a paid disclosure. That's a Terms of Use requirement. 331dot (talk) 23:53, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, I get it. I have stated that I am not doing any editing. Butopian (talk) 14:26, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
- You have previously indicated that you intend to make suggestions on the talk page. That's absolutely correct to do, but you still need to declare as a paid editor. I don't understand the reluctance here. Paid contributions are fine as long as they are disclosed. Are you abandoning contributing(directly or indirectly) about your boss? 331dot (talk) 14:59, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
- There is no reluctance. If/when I make a suggestion for edits to the page, I will make the required disclosure. Butopian (talk) 16:47, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
- I have added the disclosure to my user page. Please let me know if that meets your expectations. Thanks. Butopian (talk) 16:56, 1 September 2022 (UTC)

- I have posted the disclosure even though I am not editing. Butopian (talk) 16:57, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, thank you. That's all that was needed. Good day. 331dot (talk) 16:58, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
- Wishing you also a good day. Butopian (talk) 16:59, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
- I will add you may directly edit a draft as drafts are submitted for independent reviews. It's Articles where you need to propose edits as edit requests. 331dot (talk) 17:00, 1 September 2022 (UTC)

- @Theroadislong Now that I have added the disclosure, would you remove the paid tag you added? Butopian (talk) 17:48, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
