Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Wikipedia:Teahouse, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 18:42, 23 August 2018 (UTC) Ok I understandBusinessExpert99 (talk) 19:15, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is only for talk pages or discussion pages, not edit summaries. I saw you adding ~~~~ as your edit summary, which is no use. Cheers ~ Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 10:38, 24 August 2018 (UTC)ok I understandBusinessExpert99 (talk) 10:49, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Lydia Ansel Suggestion

[edit]

Wikipedia provides a number of guidelines for determining what or who are notable for inclusion. The most relevant of these is WP: NMUSICIAN, which states:

DJs, instrumentalists may be notable if they meet at least one of the following criteria.
  1. Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent of the musician or ensemble itself.
    • This criterion includes published works in all forms, such as newspaper articles, books, magazine articles, online versions of print media, and television documentaries except for the following:
      • Any reprints of press releases, other publications where the musician or ensemble talks about themselves, and all advertising that mentions the musician or ensemble, including manufacturers' advertising.
      • Works consisting merely of trivial coverage, such as articles that simply report performance dates, release information or track listings, or the publications of contact and booking details in directories.
      • Articles in a school or university newspaper (or similar), in most cases.

Social media websites such as Twitter, YouTube etc are not acceptable or reliable secondary sources. Neither are press releases or biographies published by her agents, or advertising of her appearances.

In examining the references you have provided in the article there is very little coverage provided in multiple independent verifiable secondary sources. In addition there is close paraphrasing of some of the references which could be considered a copyright violation and grounds for the article to be deleted. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of swimmers, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Peter Robinson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Sources in biography articles

[edit]

Information icon Hello. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Peter Benson (actor), but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. Thank you! --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:44, 6 September 2018 (UTC) He is not famous enough for this news to Be Published in the press but I can assure you he has sadly passed away but you’re welcome to put him back alive on Wikipedia if you need evidenceBusinessExpert99 (talk) 21:55, 6 September 2018 (UTC)I thought you want Wikapedia to have Up-to-date information I guess not so I apologiseBusinessExpert99 (talk) 22:01, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

We do want Wikipedia to have up to date information, as long as that information is verifiable through the inclusion of reliable sources. If those standards are not met, any editor could write whatever they wanted and pass it of as fact (not that I believe this is what you are doing in this case). --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 16:11, 7 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Peter Lorimer Music Producer, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Ewan Venters requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi there, you created this new article. I have just copyedited it and in doing so noticed that it copies content verbatim from the Northern Echo article. Please don't do this - it is a copyright violation. Tacyarg (talk) 18:52, 11 September 2018 (UTC)How do you know I did not write the Northern Echo article? I am sorry but you guys at Wikapedia jump to too many incorrect conclusions that are not correct. I will not be adding anymore articles to Wikipedia have a nice evening. I can assure you there has been no breach of copyrightBusinessExpert99 (talk) 18:58, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, sorry to have offended you, and I appreciate that you want to contribute. If you have a look at the link above (WP:Donating copyrighted materials), that describes how to donate copyrighted materials if you hold the copyright. Best wishes, Tacyarg (talk) 19:09, 11 September 2018 (UTC)You have not upset me so please don’t worry about that. I just like things right and every article I have tried to contribute are my own articles which I have edited. You removed 3 International swimmers from the Hummersknott Achrdemy page one of your colleagues claimed the 3 did not attend the school when one of the citations showed one of the pupils in a Hummersknott school uniform with a school tie and holding the National Champion’s shield. I have tried to help you improve Wikapedia as Jimmy Wales asked me to plus I have donated a substantial amount of money to Wikipedia. You don’t obviously need my help or money as you just delete anything I created. I am doing this free of charge to help Wikipedia sadly you and many of your colleagues delete things even when I am correct plus one accused me of being paid which is Just not true and when I ask a question they don’t answer and point something out no answer either. I will not be donating anymore funds or contributing anymore to WikipediaBusinessExpert99 (talk) 19:30, 11 September 2018 (UTC) Plus I gave Wikapedia a scoop the day the actor Peter Benson died very few people knew. One of you’re colleagues deleted my update and stated he was still alive? I have lots of connections that could have supplied news to Wikipedia first it’s disappointing you will now miss outBusinessExpert99 (talk) 19:48, 11 September 2018 (UTC) You deleted this page Christopher Mark Pattinson International Swimmer too which I tried to re write to stop the confusion that was pointed out that there was a politician with the same name. Pattinson also built a multi million pound Revitalise skincare company that was sold to Estée Lauder and your colleague claimed that’s nothing but you have a page for N V Perricone M.D. which is commercial as the company still trades. I did not even get the chance to add all the citations and it was deleted. I added Kim Wickham who won a silver medal in the 100m Butterfly in the 1974 Commonwealth Games even with a citation added when you have swimmers on Wikipedia that have no even won a medal. I am just being honest with you and I don’t want to upset anyone either BusinessExpert99 (talk) 20:01, 11 September 2018 (UTC)I am not this person CHRISTOPHER PATTINSON . I do however know who this person is as I have seen him on TV and heard him on the radio. So with respect I am not sure why you blocked my account and deleted all my articles. Plus I have contributed a substantial amount of money to Wikipedia and therefore who do I contact to get my contributions refunded?[reply]
