Detroit

Thanks for the note. A casual visitor can see the dramatic improvements in Detroit. Many big cities have serious crime problem areas. Rankings can distort, notice when doing so called rankings that Michigan as the 8th largest state would rank 17th in violent crime, much lower than its population rank, and since most people in Michigan live in the Detroit metropolitan area, Metro Detroit overall would rank as one of the safer places in the US.
