Advice
Dear Burhan
Have you considered archiving your talk page messages rather than consigning them to talk history? I noticed than you want(ed) to be an administrator, and if you try again, !voters there would consider your level of talk page engagement and anyway would wish to readily access these comments.
Anyway, I think the Urumqi page is very enjoyable - I have always been fascinated with this very remote and continent-locked city, with its history as well as its geography - and was pleased to find such a comprehensive article here. I hope you'll continue to contribute - more pictures would be great! All the best Plutonium27 (talk) 22:06, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

- I just found it very strange that the picture is in GIF format since more modern digital cameras take pictures in JPEG format. This means that you deliberately downgraded the image from a JPEG to a GIF. As you took the picture, you probably still have a copy of the original. Why don't you just upload the original image? -- Whpq (talk) 17:56, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Speedy requests
I declined the speedy delete request as the conditions for speedy were not met. You did not provide a specific link url to prove copyvio you just asserted that the uploader was not truthful. The proper place to raise this issue is by using the procedures at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files and making your case there. It is not appropriate to revert my speedy declines and argue the point in the image edit history. --NrDg 17:08, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Splitting articles
In the future, when you split an article's content into a new subarticle as you did in this edit, please use descriptive edit summaries for both articles, such as "moving content to Education for international students in China" and "start article with content taken from Education in the People's Republic of China". This is important for keeping track of article histories, particular for knowing where the text in this new article came from. Thank you, rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 01:30, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Urdu Wikipedia
Dear friend,
You seem to be an active Wikipedian from Pakistan. We have an Urdu Wikipedia that needs all the help that it can get. Currently, we do not have many active users and we will really appreciate if you would consider becoming an active contributor. As you are already familiar with Wikipedia's style and rules, your presence would also help elevate the overall content quality.
Hope to see you soon at Urdu Wikipedia

File source problem with File:History seafh (1).jpg
Thank you for uploading File:History seafh (1).jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:51, 26 August 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:51, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion converted to PROD: DreamWorld Engine
Hello Burhan Ahmed. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on DreamWorld Engine to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 21:01, 26 September 2010 (UTC)
The article Surgical Incisions has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- "How to"-page; WP:NOT (dictionary) applies to most entries
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 08:40, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

Nomination of Surgical Incisions for deletion
A discussion has begun about whether the article Surgical Incisions, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Surgical Incisions until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.
You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 13:55, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
deletion of Naema Tahir
Happily the article about Naema Tahir is still present on the Dutch Wikipedia. I really can't figure out why you found it necessary to speedily delete an article that existed more than two years on this Wikipedia. Dedalus (talk) 20:10, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
Reviewer permission
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 16:04, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

- You can test Rollback at Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback

Altered speedy deletion rationale: Make It Rain (Travis Porter Song)
Hello Burhan Ahmed, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I deleted Make It Rain (Travis Porter Song), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided. The speedy deletion criteria are extremely narrow and specific, and the process is more effective if the correct criterion is used. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Nancy talk 07:22, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Ratonpur

You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Nancy talk 07:43, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Www.medicalopaedia.com screenshot.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Www.medicalopaedia.com screenshot.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 03:22, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
