D. L. Narasimhachar

[edit]

Hi, I'm not really sure why you are asking me, but here's some comments

  • Capitalisation is eccentric, eg "Linguist, Grammarian, Lexicographer, Writer, Literary Critic and Editor". None of these are proper nouns, and the caps seem to be for inappropriate emphasis
  • The article is underlinked, eg Kannada, Lexicographer, University of Mysore are all unlinked, and that's just i the opening paragraph
  • Most problematic is the lack of a neutral tone, eg four masterly introductions... reputed Kannada works. is giving opinions, not facts. Even if your source says that, it's only the author's opinion, not an objective fact, but mostly it's your own unsourced opinion, which is even worse, eg prestigious... critics later considered to be an early foretelling... a memorable preface... famous work... His love for... keen interest... are the best of their kind in Kannada. and so on. It's supposed to be a neutral biography, not a fan page
  • You have copied text verbatim from here, which is marked as public domain, but the fact that you can legitimately copy it doesn't mean that you should.

I hope this doesn't seem too negative, it's a decent attempt, just needs some polishing as I've indicated above Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:40, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That looks better, although I notice that you haven't done anything about the underlinking I mentioned at the second bulletpoint above Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:19, 5 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Tekur Ramanath moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Tekur Ramanath, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) In addition, there appears to be a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 21:46, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your words

[edit]

Hello my friend, I hope you are fine. I want you to assume my good faith when I edit, even if you don't agree with my reasons for doing so. You can always revert me. But making comments like this -- "Kindly do not tamper with the article without perusing" -- is unnecessary and I hope you will reflect before you write such things again. Cheers. Recent edit reversion

[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 12:16, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi.
I am unable to see your brief summary of the problem. I would be grateful if you could lay out the brief summary of the problem here. I can assure with the greatest faith and good-will that there are NO copyright violations and I am more than happy to address any perceived copyright violations (as per your interpretation). The 'ACADEMICIAN' and 'WORKS' section had been updated with about four hours of intense labour with equally sufficient number of references. All of that has been wiped out in fell swoop. I am sure you can restore it. Looking forward to your co-operation in this matter. For starters, kindly lay out here (where I can see it) what EXACTLY seems to be the Copyright Violation problem and why it warranted the deletion of two full paragraphs of well researched, referenced information, that is ENTIRELY neutral and objective. Cheers. Bugs2beatles 14:55, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
