Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Btsediting. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Wings (BTS album), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Hamtechperson 00:01, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
Your edits on List of K-pop songs on the Billboard charts
[edit]Hi User:Btsediting....Thanks for your pre-chart additions for List of K-pop songs on the Billboard charts. You did well for a new editor, if you are new! I made some changes and additions. The BB charts are released days prior to the actual chart date. For the one you made additions for, it was June 2, 2018 and I made those changes. I added another citation showing more information by same BB writer and another. Also, we cannot make pre-chart updates without them being listed on the chart, at it's release, or with a citation.....so I removed the World Digital Songs and Canadian Hot 100 information that you added. This has not been officially released, either with a citation or on the charts yet. I added the Streaming Songs chart info., which was listed in a citation.
For the future, keep trying, you are doing a great job, especially with your citation, which was perfectly done. Just remember the chart dates are a bit tricky (currently are on each Saturday of the month), but are announced or released days prior to that. And remember, for the charts to be accurate and follow WP rules, we must always document a citation for pre-chart news. You may ask me any questions or respond to me here or at my Talk page. Good luck!--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 02:25, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
Conflict of Interest
[edit]I'm unsure if you're aware, but you're currently listed on BTS' talk page as someone with a Conflict of Interest per Wikipedia's guidelines on them. It seems you still frequently edit and comment on BTS related content, so is this true? DanielleTH (Say hi!) 18:45, 10 October 2018 (UTC)
