Speedy deletion nomination of EPRT
[edit]A tag has been placed on EPRT, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Rorshacma (talk) 19:34, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
The article Advanced Data Hub has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No apparent notability (coverage in independent sources): no evidence that it should have an encyclopedia article.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PamD 21:06, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

- PamD -- This is a major software package used by Financial institutions across the world. It's applicable to financial institutions which have classically have been closed-door in terms of providing information to the extended Internet. The product builds upon RMDS which you'll clearly find in linked in circles and other pages. TREP-RT has not reached a critical mass audience but is still extremely relevant. Email me to confirm further, I'll provide you PDF documentation.

- Hi, Only just spotted this comment of yours. As it says on the "PROD" or "Proposed deletion" message, and in slightly different wording above here, "You may remove this message if you improve the article or otherwise object to deletion for any reason. However, please explain why you object to the deletion, either in your edit summary or on the talk page." (My emphasis). You gave no explanation either in your edit summary (you don't seem to "do" edit summaries - they are very helpful for other editors) or on the article talk page as to why you had removed the PROD banner, so I took the article to AfD. You now need to produce reasons there to argue why it should be kept in the encyclopedia. Unless and until it is WP:NOTABLE it has no place in the encyclopedia. PamD 22:06, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- I'm just getting used to the editing process, I will include edit summaries in the future. I will also include more links. This fits the notable criteria. Bryanteadon (talk) 14:49, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
- The proposed deletion states that the software is not notable. Thousands of companies use this software globally, and it is a market segment in it's own right. You will also find it on people's resumes, case in point : http://www.linkedin.com/in/gszub Bryanteadon (talk) 15:18, 26 January 2012 (UTC)

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thomson Reuters Enterprise Platform for Real-Time until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

- This information is relevant to understand the proprietary software platform which drives financial markets. This should not be removed, there is an extremely small amount of data about the system online. This is a push to get more information about the systems online and available to users. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bryanteadon (talk • contribs) 22:03, 25 January 2012
- But Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not the trade press, not a soapbox, not an advertising medium. It has articles on topics which are already WP:NOTABLE. Anyway, you are arguing in the wrong place: you should make your points at the AfD (Article for Deletion) discussion. And please sign your comments on talk pages (using the button on the edit bar or by typing ~~~~), and use either : to indent your reply or * to give it a bullet point, to make it easier for other editors to see. Thanks. PamD 22:22, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- I think I've argued in the proper place now -- please advise. Bryanteadon (talk) 15:23, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
- No, you need to argue convincingly, at the AfD discussion, to say why this article should not be deleted. To see the form at of an AfD discussion see the day's listing. If you want to keep the article, post a "Keep" comment with explanation. It is not a vote, but the closing administrator will look at and evaluate the arguments used by editors saying "Keep" and "Delete". 85.211.13.188 (talk) 10:15, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

- Page is relevant to the 'Thomson Reuters Enterprise Platform for Real-Time' article. The page is currently a stub for more information as I have time to write it. The page is as notable as "RMDS" or "TREP-RT" pages. Bryanteadon (talk) 15:21, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Advanced Distribution Server

A tag has been placed on Advanced Distribution Server requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The article Advanced Distribution Server has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unsourced article with no assertion of notability. It is unclear what the actual subject of this article is, so searching for sources is near impossible. In current state, this article appears to be WP:OR.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of TREP, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://selfindulgence.org/Thomson_Reuters_Enterprise_Platform_for_Real-Time.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Speedy deletion nomination of TREP
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on TREP, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. (See section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) If an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
